Chapter 2- Moving On...

Teensy bit of mature content in here, not much though, more like... an insinuation.  Anyways, Hello everyone! I hope you enjoyed the beginning of my story, hehehe, I kind of lost the original version that I hand wrote, and spent an hour looking for it, but then I gave up and just decided to re-write it, so it's a little rushed.  Oh well, better then nothing right? (: Enjoy!

The house was peaceful. Quiet, even.  This was something a house that was home to four teenage boys was typically not.  Usually there was yelling, or fighting somewhere in the house, and due to the great size of this mansion, the sound usually reverberated down each and every hallway   There was not even a peep from the maids who were usually creeping down the corridors around this time.  For once, there was absolute silence. And I stomped right through it.

"How do you guys afford this place? It’s fucking huge!"

"Word of advice," I scowled, spinning around to face the awestruck boy who was trailing behind me, "Watch your mouth, my mother hates swearing."  He regarded me silently with a sceptical look in his dark eyes, and then shrugged his broad shoulders and continued walking along the smooth hardwood, scuffing his feet as he moved. It was like everything about this thing was engineered to just piss me off majorly.

"Not like I have to live here anyways."  He slid past me, making sure he didn't touch me in anyway -smart boy- and continued down the hallway curiously, peeking into every door he passed.  "Are you coming?" he asked turning his head to gaze at me questioningly a few minutes later.  I guess he had finally realized I wasn’t following behind him.  My scowl deepened.

"Okay, look, this is how it's going to work here," I began, stopping a few inches away from him.  I somehow managed to ignore the one eyebrow he raised in surprise, and continued with my little rant. "You work here. I live here.  You just woke me up from a wonderful sleep, which makes me hate you even more," I stressed, folding my arms across my chest. "And NOW I have to show you around, so here. This is a hallway," I gestured down the corridor, "This is a door," I pointed at an oak door beside us, "And that's the way out. Have a nice day."  I then spun on my heel and stomped down the hallway without looking back until I reached the door to my room.  "And if you need anything... Don't. Ask. Me." With that, I slammed the door shut behind me and clicked the lock, leaving him to find his way out.  He'd survive, and if he got lost, someone would find him eventually.

***MAL POV

Well that was interesting, I mused, moving down the length of the hallway quickly.  Lee had quite the temper there, in such a small body.  Such a small, gorgeous body, for such an annoying, irritating person.  I grinned at the thought, my lips quirking up into their trade mark form.  Too bad she was such a firecracker, she'd be quite fun otherwise.  Oh well, she was still a senior anyways, and she had four brothers, who were more than likely over protective, and I honestly valued every part of my body, right where it was supposed to be.

I placed my thoughts on hold as I came to the end of the hallway, which, of course, split into two different hallways going in two different directions.  Just my luck, I was going to be late, on my first day on the job too.  Fuck.  Its heads or tails I guess, I thought, pulling a coin from my wallet.  I flicked it into the air and caught it in mid fall, planting in on the back of my hand.  Heads.  Right it is.  I followed this dimly lit hallway, passing the doors that I lost count of be the forty third and scuffing my feet across the immaculate floors.  They must have half a dozen maids, per hallway.  There was no way that only one person could keep this monster of a house so clean.  It had to be impossible, and expensive.  I had to admit, the first time I heard where the law office was located, I had scoffed.  An office in a house? What was the big deal about that?  People had laughed and shook their heads, which was confusing, but now I understood.  This wasn't a house, this was a castle. And it was confusing

I turned yet another corner and exhaled in relief, finding myself in front of a glass door with a sign showcasing the law firm in big bold letters.  My watch beeped out the set alarm and I sighed in relief.  I still had five minutes.  When I shoved into the lobby, I mentally cursed Lee and her anger issues.  Seriously, she was some rich, spoiled brat of a princess, and she thought it was my fault she was going to have a bad day?  She should look in the mirror.  I snorted at that.  Im sure she had enough of those around.  She had the looks to match the personality.

Banishing thoughts of my new least favourite person, I surveyed the lobby of my new occupation in awe.  The room was pretty big, even for such a well known business, and furnished in solid oak chairs and tables.  The floor was unlike the hardwood outside, and instead was a soft mahogany color -don't ask me how I know this, my mother was an interior designer.  I grew up with the irritating ability to tell colors apart- that was really squishy when I scuffed along it towards the pretty red head at the front desk.

"Hi, my name is Linda, how may I help you?" she droned, staring down at the paperwork in front of her.  I craned my head, only to see that she was doing a word search. Nice one.

"I'm Malcolm Reed, the new intern."  Her head snapped up almost immediately and she gaped.  Like, full on staring.  Okay, this was more like it.  I ran my eyes over the half of her that was viewable above her desk, red silk top, showing a little too much cleavage, tan skin, definitely tanning booth, had to be a C-cup, if not D.  Definitely my kind of girl.  My eyes flickered back up to hers, and she immediately turned flirty, chest sticking out, eyes sultry, and bottom lip sticking out just enough to make it look plump. Sigh. Oh man, I was going to love this job.  I placed both hands on top of her desk and leaned in, giving myself a view straight down her shirt, while slipping my own heartbreaking smirk onto my face.  Her eyes widened, and a slight red tinge began to colour her cheeks when her eyes met mine.

"What can I do for you?" she asked, a bit breathless. She none to subtly checked my out, and I was pretty positive she was undressing me with her eyes.  Man, I was loving this.

"Oh, I'm sure there's a lot you could do for me," I whispered, smirk reappearing when her lips twisted into a breathless smile at my double meaning.  "Right now though, I need to know where I'm supposed to go."  Linda bit her lip, holding back her smile, and nodded, turning back to her computer.

"Oh, you're with Marc, straight on through those doors."  She pointed at a double set of doors to the far left, and I turned towards them, but a light hand on my arm had me turning back to see her seductive smile in place.

"There's a janitors closet just down the hallway..." I raised one brow at her, and grinned.

"Do we get a lunch break?"

               "At noon."

"See you then Linda," I winked, and headed straight for the doors of my future.

***LEE POV

Living in this huge mansion without another girl could get boring. Like, seriously boring.  I was always outvoted on TV shows; four verses one, and couldn't play sports against the boys without them almost killing me, so basically I spent most of my time exploring. Yes, I had lived here since birth, and I still haven't seen the entire house.  But the parts I have were absolutely beautiful.

My home had once been an orphanage that was closed down in the early 1900.  When the First World War broke out, they had used it as a hospital ward for the wounded, and the children were all sent elsewhere, no one really knows what happened to them all.  Once the war came to an end in 1918, the house was shut down, and no one inhabited it until it was sold to us.  Each part of the left wing of the house had to be redone to suit our modern lifestyles, but the right wing and north wing had been the same ever since the Victorian era.  Each piece of furniture was hundreds of years old, and absolutely stunning.  There was honestly nothing more fun than finding a new room in this house, and imagining what the people that lived in it were like from the stuff left behind.  The South wing, however, was closed off.  There were no windows or doors to get inside, from the inside, or the outside, which left thousands of square feet untouchable.  I was always infuriated when I reached the wall that should have housed some sort of entrance to the wing, but nothing could be found.  My father once told me that he believed that was once the wing that was used as the hospital wing, and it was closed off after the war because it was thought to be bad luck.  I honestly could understand their point of view back then, because who would want to live in a room where thousands of people had bled to death? Gruesome yes, but it was true.

By the end of my rambling thoughts, I had found myself at the fork at the end of my hallway.  Choosing sporadically, I decided to go right.  I guess I'd continue to explore the west wing today.  There was a little back staircase that led upstairs to the nursery, and I hadn't gone past there yet.  I was pretty sure I'd find something soon that would tell me what happened to all the kids that had lived there, but I had already searched the north wing, which was full off kitchens and cafeteria type rooms, and hadn't found a thing.  I had hoped to find something in the West wing, but school finals had put a damper on my exploring for quite some time, and I hadn't navigated anywhere but my desk and bed since two weeks before summer started.  I was seriously lacking in a life.

I could see the glow at the end of the hall that signalled the law office was still open, and turned abruptly to the left facing the most intricately carved door in the entire house -or of the house that had been discovered so far- and went to twist the gold flecked handle-

THUMP

What was that? Hmm... I wandered a little further down the hallway, but it was pretty silent, until I reached the end of the hall.  I was beginning to head soft moans coming from one of the doorways, and it wasn't until I could hear them clearly coming from the janitors closet that I got annoyed.  Who in the world would decide that making out in my home in my janitors closet was a smart thing to do? Guess I'd just have to find out.  I gripped the handle, and ripped it open with a sigh.  They didn't even lock it.  Amateurs.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?"

***MAL POV

Linda was giggling, and for once, I was actually finding it quite irritating.  Who the hell giggles this much? Oh well. I could honestly say I could put up with it, because once the door shut behind us, her arms were around my neck, and her lips were slanting over mine.  Good god, she tasted good.  And she felt good too.  I flicked my tongue on her lip, and she moaned, letting me slip my tongue into her mouth, and back her up against the wall.  I had about thirty minutes.  That gave me about enough time for a quickie, and lunch too.  Then I had to go find- Oh... I groaned when her hands flicked down to my pants, and ripped them open.  I could honestly say this girl and I were going to get along fabulously.  Her shirt was off before she could blink, and my hands were everywhere.  Her manicured fingers were raking down my front, and up again, building a growl deep in my throat.  Time to finish this, I thought, flicking her skirt open, and that was about the time the door flew open, and our eyes snapped towards the bright light immediately.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?"  Good God, really? Right now?  It would only be her right? Yup.  Of course.  Someone out there hated me with a passion.  Lee was standing in front of the door, surveying us both with her hands planted firmly on her hips, and a scowl on her face.  "Okay, honestly, have sex all you want, but could you at least have the decency to make it to a bedroom?"  I was irritated, but only slightly, to notice that Lee hadn't even given me a second glance.  I mean, come on, I was good looking.  I was hot for god's sake. And here I was, in my boxers, and she didn't look at my package once. Not even once.

"Get out of here Analee," Linda spat, slipping herself down my body, to place her feet on the floor.  I had to bite the inside of my mouth to stifle the moan that was building in my throat.

"Oh go to hell Linda. Seriously, every door along this hall is a bedroom. And it's unlocked, do fuck yourselves to death."  With that, she rolled her eyes and flipped us off, heading down the hallway.  That girl was a bitch alright, but I'd bed her in a second.  Just the sway of those hips was enough to-

"HEY!" I yelped, rubbing my arm, and glaring at Linda, "What was that for?"

"You were checking her out," she said dryly, running her finger down my chest.  "And I wanted to go to a bedroom."

               Oh hell yes.
