Krist is determined to start over with today's show. After yesterday's impromptu meeting with Tay, Krist went back to see Singto's email in its entirety. To say he was ashamed of himself would be an understatement. Singto had basically planned the topics to align perfectly to the appropriate time slots. If only he would have listened to Singto explain everything before the show, then they could have avoided the whole debacle. And he could have still suggested some topic swaps after eight thirty, but he didn't listen. So, it really was his fault that they're in hot waters.
Krist also realizes that he was being a bit of a jerk towards Singto. This was all because he was a bit too eager to prove that he's just as good as Singto if not better. During their lunch meeting, Krist was so sure that Singto was going to blame him for all of it, and rub it in his face that he knew nothing about morning radio and all its politics. But instead, Singto just laid out the morning show guidelines for him, and said they should just focus on the next show. They exchanged some ideas, and settled on a few that they both agreed on.
Krist would be lying if he said he didn't think Singto is too conservative. The man said no more than he had fingers to count them on. One topic he particularly likes is lube alternatives. Why is it bad to talk about lube alternatives? Why? Isn't it good to share and educate their audience? Just watch, Krist will work this topic into today's show eventually. He thinks it's a great topic, and Singto will be impressed with the reactions they'll get.

Caller 11: Good morning guys. I'm June. I loved yesterday's show by the way. It was so much fun, but I'm glad I had headphones on though.
Krist and Singto exchanged a little nervous look. It was already the fourth time a caller mentioned yesterday's disastrous show.
"Thanks. So June, tell us about your cheap date?" Krist quickly tries to steer the caller back to their topic.
Caller 11: Well, I was on a casual coffee date with this guy I connected with on a dating app. He was very nice and all, but by the end of the date, he did something really strange. He opened his bag, and poured all the extra sugar packets from our table into it. I asked him what he was doing, and he said he ran out of sugar at home, and he has no time to pick up some from the store. I thought it was kind of odd, but I didn't think much of it. On our fourth date, he invited me over to his house for a home cooked meal. I arrived a little earlier than he expected, so I offered to help him cook. He asked me to pass him three packets of sugar. I was so confused at first. Then he pulled open a drawer to get them himself. The drawer was filled with packets of to-go condiments like sugar, salt, pepper, ketchup, mustard, and whatnot. It was insane how much he had in there. He must be stocking up every chance he gets.
"Wow...that is pretty cheap, but also very smart. I don't think I would ever have thought of keeping so much condiments around in the first place. I only take what I need." Singto chuckles.
"Well, at least he's not wasting since he cooks with them. But can you imagine if you need a whole cup of sugar? Hahaha. Thanks for calling." Krist laughs.
Singto swears Krist's eyes were sparkling when the clock reached eight thirty. He looked like a child given their favorite candy. The next topic is Krist's, and he can tell Krist is very excited about it.
"In the modern ages of internet and instant gratification where we can get immediate answers to all questions, people are much less patient these days. Even speed dating is now too slow. We have dating apps now. So, do you think sex on the first date is still a taboo?" Krist asks and looks at Singto who only nods his approval.
They've only agreed on topics, but they didn't go into details or discussed their own opinions on the topics. Their own answers will be a surprise for everyone including each other.
"Let's ask our callers. Hello Sunti, what's your take on the matter?" Singto asks.
Caller 12: Hi. I just want to say that it's beneficial to both parties to have sex as soon as possible once they acknowledge attraction. This is especially true for women. Their clocks are ticking faster. You know what I mean, bro? So ladies, if you find the guy hot on the first date, then just give it up. If the sex is bad, then you won't have to waste anymore time.
"So, you think it's okay to have sex on the first date then?" Krist tries to get a clearer answer to his question.
Caller 12: Well, if the sex is good, I'm willing to overlook that.
"What if the sex was bad?" Krist frowns, and asks further. What does the guy mean by overlook?
Singto frowns too. He doesn't like this caller. They should really take the next caller instead, but Krist has asked a follow up question.
Caller 12: Then I'll know she's not the one, and she's a slu....dooooooooo
Singto disconnected the line, but it was too late, Krist already heard what the man was going to say.
"The call was disconnected, but I would like to say that that was a very hypocritical thing to say. The other party can very well call you a slut too." Krist fumes. He hates hypocritical double standard assholes.
"Next caller, Rose." Singto glares at Krist. He can't believe Krist just did that, but he tries to move the show along. Hopefully, the next caller will be better.
Caller 13: Hi, I just want to say that I agree with Krist. It takes two to tango, so if the woman is a slut, then so is that *beep *beep man whore. What a *beep.
"Thank you, Rose. I agree with your statement. Next caller." Krist glares back at Singto. How dare he cut off that call when he wasn't done talking to that asshole.
Caller 14: Hi, I'm Mina. I think it's only assholes like that caller that makes it feel like a taboo. We should all do what we want and feel like without hypocritical judgements, especially against women. It's not fair.
"Thank you for calling Mina. What about you, Singto? What's your take?" Krist eyes Singto for his reaction.
Singto silently grumbles a bit before he answers. "Well, I personally don't think the number of dates matter. As long as it feels right. If two people feel a connection, then it doesn't matter if it's the first date or the hundredth one."
"Then have you had sex on the first date before?" Krist pushes further.
Singto didn't expect Krist to ask him such a personal question on the air, but he has to answer now. "I haven't, but that's because I usually need a little more time to build a connection first. To feel comfortable with that person. I don't like rushing. What about you then?"
Krist rolls his eyes. It's Charming Singto speaking again, and he can't believe the guy is blushing over a stupid question. "I have, and it's because it felt right at the moment. But I would never count that against the other person. It's a moment of passion between two consenting adults."
All the lines light up, and Fiat signals them that it's time for some music.
"Okay, thanks. Let's take a break. Here's "A Little Thing" by Peck Palitchoke. We will be back after these short messages." Singto switches the microphone off, and turns his chair towards Krist.
(Music video at top.👆🏼)
"What the fuck was that? Why couldn't you just let that go? We should avoid provoking our listeners. That's like basic rule 101." Singto tosses his pencil on the desk.
"I'm allowed to have my own opinions. And that guy is one of those hypocritical assholes who is willing to take advantage of someone, but turns around and calls the other a slut." Krist retorts with an indignant expression on his face.
"Yes, you are allowed opinions, but you didn't have to call him a hypocrite and a slut on the air like that."
"Well, he is and I speak from my heart. Excuse me for not being tactful enough for you."
"This is not about me. We don't want to rile up our listeners. People don't want to start their day angry. We should have steered the listeners back to the original question or changed the topic altogether."
"Well, how do you know if the listeners weren't already pissed off by that caller?"
Singto gives up. There's no point in arguing with Krist. He shakes his head in defeat. They are just too different. For the rest of the show, they avoided direct conversations, and gave each other simple clipped answers. And of course, Krist snuck in that alternative lube topic which he had said no to. Hopefully, their station's sponsor Luv Gel is not going to react. Otherwise, Tay is going to be down their throats again. They aren't allowed to promote any competition for their sponsors. Didn't Krist read the guidelines he gave him?

AN: Sweets, here's another late update. 😅
Krist and Singto are like night and day. Will they ever get along? 😬
