⭐️ ———— Mi-Ya hadn't had the best life growing up. But, she pulled through with the loving family she had.

She had two brothers and a sister, and they were Mi-Ya's world. Mi-Ya was the second oldest, and when her older brother passed away from a plague, Mi-Ya felt like she had to protect and look after her younger siblings.

But, things got bad.

Her family tried to flee North Korea, but unfortunately for Mi-Ya, her parents were caught. Her father was killed during the escape and her mother was captured and sent back.

Mi-Ya and her siblings, Sae-Byeok and Cheol had successfully fled the country and made their way to South Korea.

But, they had no money.

Her younger brother had been placed in an orphanage, where Mi-Ya and Sae-Byeok visited whenever they had the time.

The sisters did everything to make money to buy a home and get their mother back from North Korea.

Mi-Ya fortunately had found a business opportunity, but unfortunately, it was away from South Korea.

She was hesitant at first, not wanting to leave her younger siblings, but Sae-Byeok insisted, saying they needed the money and she'd remain in South Korea.

So, Mi-Ya took the business opportunity. She needed the money for her family. She wanted her family to be one again.

Mi-Ya left South Korea, but she kept in regular contact with her sister, always calling her and her brother.

She made quite a lot of money, sending some to Sae-Byeok so her younger sister could survive.

After two years away from her siblings, Mi-Ya finally came back to South Korea in 2020. But, she was confused as to why Sae-Byeok had not got in contact with her in a couple of weeks.

Mi-Ya started to worry about her younger siblings.

So as soon as Mi-Ya got off the plane, she made her way straight to the place Sae-Byeok was staying. But nobody had seen the girl in a while.

And Mi-Ya was starting to panic.

The next place she went was to the orphanage that her brother was in, only to find out he wasn't there. That a man, who said he was a friend of Sae-Byeok, had taken Cheol.

All they told her was that the man was named Gi-Hun.

Mi-Ya didn't know where Sae-Byeok or Cheol were. And she felt as if she had failed her siblings.

She had promised to protect them. And she had failed.

And it seemed like this man, Gi-Hun, had all the answers to the questions she desperately needed answering.

But where could she find this man?

Mi-Ya had used the money she had earned to try and find her sister and brother, spending all the money to figure out where they were.

But it all lead to dead ends.

Mi-Ya was utterly alone in South Korea, running around to find out what happened to her siblings, especially her sister.

And she wouldn't know until three years later, when she was handed a card with a number to call and a promise of money.
