"Wow bhai! You look so handsome!!" I said when I saw Arjun bhai stepping into the living room looking dapper in all black.

"Thanks Nishu!" Bhai said fishing out a water bottle from the refridgerator, started drinking water.

"Bhai! dont tell me that you are also going to the office party?" I exclaimed.

"yeah!" he said rather casually as if he is a person who always keeps partying all the time.

Bhai had not gone to any party in recent times. Even Karan & I used to always compel him to go attend the parties but he used to calmly refuse.

So what is it about this party that bhai is going after so long?

"oh..wait! how do you know that I am going to a party?" he said turning to my side.

"Meghna told me!" I said shrugging.

A ghost of smile appeared on bhai's face and even before I acknowledge and return it, it faded away.

Bhai smiled just now, Isn't it? Is it because I said Meghna's name....naah! may be I am overthinking!!

"okay! I got to go! Tell mom that I will be coming late" Bhai said picking up his car keys, waving at me.

It seems like he is so excited to go!

I heard bhai's vehicle sound when I was lying lazily on my bed going through the latest newsfeed on social media.

I so wanted to go ask him how was the party but I know that bhai would give me earful of scoldings if he knows that I didn't sleep yet! It isn't very late though, its just 11:53 pm but bhai is very punctual about my sleeping habits and he doesnt like me being awake till late night. I somehow manages to enact as if I am sleeping early but what I usually do is to play games or chat with my friends.

Anyways, I am feeling sleepy today, so I decided that I would ask him about the party tomorrow and slipped into sleep.

I woke up, after letting my alarm to snooze for about three times. I usually hate waking up early in the morning but my college timings doesn't allow me. I lazily sprinted towards to bathroom and freshened up.

"Maa!! Coffee!" I yelled walking out my room.

"just a minute beta!" said my mom. She gave me my coffee and I happily devoured its bittersweet taste, walked back to my room.

After an hour, I am all ready to go to college. I took my bag, mobile and reached the dining room. I was surprised to see Arjun bhai sitting at the dining table, waiting for breakfast. It's just 7'O clock, he usually wakes up now but today he is already in his formals. I think, may be he has something urgent to attend in the morning but his office usually starts at half past nine.

But why am I thinking so much about all these when I can just ask him right away!

"Good Morning bhai, Isn't it so early to go to your office?" I asked settling down on the chair.

"um...Good Morning! Er....umm...I have some work to do..so yeah!" he said stuttering a bit.

Bhai don't stutter usually, so what is it? Something's definitely up!!

"What is it bhai? You always keep working! Don't you ever get bored of it? " I asked him hoping he would tell me what is all this is about.

"Good Morning Arjun beta, you are already ready to go! " my mom said walking towards the dining table with my favourite breakfast Dosa (Indian Pancake)

"umm..I have some work today maa, so I need to go early" He said and glanced at me once. I narrowed my eyes in suspicion.

Something's definitely up!!

"Nisha said that you went to a party last night!" she said serving us breakfast and her sentence caught my interest. How did I forget to ask bhai about it?

"yeah bhai! So how was the party?" I asked him, letting the other matter slide away for now.

"um...It was fun...." he trailed off and seemed to be lost in his own pool of thoughts. I could see his lips slightly twitching upwards into a smile, I guess remembering something.

"what all did you do?" I asked him breaking his chain of thoughts.

"Nisha! Stop talking and eat fast or else you will be late to your college" My mom said not letting bhai answer my query.

"But mom..." I whined at her.

"You can always talk to him once he comes back from office, so eat now and don't think of leaving any of this on your plate, did you see how thin you are becoming day by day!" She said looking serious in a worried tone.

Oh no! Now she is gonna give me a big lecture about my food habits!!!

Arjun bhai stood & picked up his plate, walked into the kitchen.

"okay bye maa, bye Nishu" he said picking up his car keys and walked away whistling a soft melody tune.

He seems so happy today! I need to know what's going on!! I am going to find the reason for his happiness soon...very soon!!!

Meghna

"So tell me properly, what all happened last night?" Riya asked me with curious look on her face. I just shrugged.

"oh come on Meghna! I know you are skipping all details, I want to know everything!" she said stressing on everything.

"I already told you everything, there isn't anything else left" I said sipping on my hot steaming coffee.

"what! You just said that you both travelled all the time with music playing in the background and he dropped you at your house! Thats it! Really? You want me to believe that!" she said raising her voice in disbelief.

"oh yeah! I forgot to tell you this, I thanked him for the ride & I also told him good night" I said sarcasm dripping in my tone. Before she could reply, we heard a voice.

"Good Morning Ladies!" I turned around and saw that Karan walking towards my cubicle.

"Good Morning!" we both sang in unison.

"what's going on?" he enquired looking at us. I shrugged my shoulders again.

"I am asking her about all things that happened over the ride yesterday night but she isn't telling me anything properly" Riya said whining at him. I rolled my eyes at her.

"oh god! I already told you Riya there isn't anything left" I said slightly irritated. Ever since I entered office today, she kept bombarding me with loads of questions that I can't even think of. I actually told her everything except for the part where Arjun & I had ice-cream because it felt like a special moment and I want it to be exclusive only to both of us. Well, I agree that even the Ice-cream vendor knows about it but it's different.

"yeah, what happened? Any progress?" Karan asked wiggling his eyebrows at me.

"Nothing Karan! He just dropped me back home, we didn't even talk much!" I said hoping at least he would understand and let go this matter.

"I thought I was your best friend!" Riya said in a low voice looking down. I hugged her and told her that there isn't anything else and I would have told her if any. Luckily, she let go off this matter and I sighed in relief.

"what is that in your hand?" Riya asked Karan eyeing something in his hand. It looked familiar.

"hmm..Yeah! Arjun told me to give this to you Meghna! Is this yours?" He asked passing me my wallet.

"yeah! It's mine! Thanks" I said smiling at him.

"Wait! You didn't bring this yesterday! Did you?" Riya asked glancing at my wallet & then at me.

"Nope!" I said and then bit my lip.

Oh no! I should not have said that!

"Then how come it is in Arjun's car if you didn't bring it yesterday?" she asked raising her eyebrows at me.

"umm...err...that..." I just kept saying incoherent words unable to understand what to say.

"what is it Meghna?" Karan asked me this time.

"umm...that..." I kept stuttering again.

Oh God! Help Me!!!

"What is this...that? Just spill it!" Riya said in a demanding tone.

I told them what has happened as there is no other way to escape.

A few hours back

My alarm started ringing but I simply let it snooze again. I am not at all in a mood to wake up anytime soon. I slipped into my dreamland again. After sometime I again heard some music playing beside me, I stopped it but it rang again and that's when I realized that it is not my alarm tone but my phone's ringtone.

"He...Hello" I said groggily adjusting my throat in between.

"Good Morning Meghna!" I heard a familiar deep male voice from the other side.

"umm...Good Morning! Who's this?" I asked the person on the phone line, feeling so lazy to at least check the caller's name on my phone.

"Meghna! it's me, Arjun" that deep voice spoke again.

"Arjun! As in my boss Mr. Arjun Prasad" I said feeling still sleepy.

"yeah Meghna! It's me Arjun" the voice said knocking me back into my senses.

Arjun! Oh my god! Why is he calling me so early in the morning? What time is it? It's just seven thirty five then why is he calling me now?

"Meghna! You there?" I heard his voice breaking my reverie.

"umm...yeah Arjun...I mean Sir..." I said utterly confused about this early morning phone call and that's when I realised that this is first time we are conversing on a phone call.

"umm...Meghna! I am on my way to office and as you don't have your vehicle with you, I thought that...You know may be give you a ride..." Arjun said and as soon as his words struck in my mind, my heart swelled with a warm feeling of happiness.

He thought about me! He wants to give me a ride! I smiled as I understood that may be deep inside his heart, he too has some feeling for me.

"er...Meghna?" Arjun spoke in his deep husky voice.

"hmm...yes sir!" I said smiling inwardly as I could sense some nervousness in his voice.

Arjun and Nervousness, a unique combination!

"so I will reach the lane near your house within Ten minutes, I will wait there for you" He said, I just nodded my head as if I was following his instructions but then realized that he cannot see me and chirped an okay.

"okay! See you" he said and hung up.

He will be here in ten minutes! I looked at my phone in disbelief. Am I dreaming? May be it is true! I looked at my phone call history once again to make sure I am not dreaming and I could see three missed calls from Arjun. Two from yesterday! Oh no! I guess he might have called me after looking at my message but I dozed off.

My alarm rang again breaking my chain of thoughts.

He will be here in ten minutes and I am still on my bed in my pjs. I need to get ready faster.

After twenty-seven minutes of fastest morning routine, I looked at least presentable. I decided to skip breakfast as I don't want to keep him waiting for me but my mom already packed two bread sandwiches for me. I thanked & kissed her good bye, I grabbed my wallet, bag & mobile phone and rushed outside.

I walked very swiftly, spotted his car parked at the end of our lane. He looked so good in his formals. I took a deep breath to calm my racing heartbeat.

I walked towards him and noticed that he was drumming his fingers on the steering wheel in accord with the music playing from the stereo.

He noticed my presence, opened the car door for me. I settled down and turned to look at him. He blessed me with his breathtaking smile which made my heart skip a beat but none the less I managed to smile back.

"Thank you so much sir!" I said after cooling down a bit.

"it's okay!" he said smiling at me.

"you really don't have to do this sir! I could have managed it myself" I said glancing at him.

"it's alright! However I have to go through the same direction so I thought why not?" He said igniting the engine which roared to life.

My phone rang, it was my mom telling me to have my breakfast as soon as I reach office. I chirped an okay.

"you know, you can have your breakfast now itself! I will drive slowly so you don't have to worry about it spilling or something" Arjun said turning towards my direction.

"it's okay sir! I will have it once we reach the office" I said but my stomach has some other plans as it made some weird sound making me feel embarassed.

"come on, have it" he said genuinely concerned.

I nodded at him, took my sandwich out and started nibbling on it. I took another one and handed it over to him. He initially refused but finally accepted on my insistence. I stared at him as he drove the car with one hand like an expert and having a sandwich with other just like a small kid.

The music playing changed to a fast beat but now I am in a mood to listen to a calm and soothing melody. I decided to change the song and at the same time Arjun also stretched his hand to change the song. Our fingers brushed a little and I felt some tingling sensation. Arjun moved his hand back and signalled me to change the song. The ride continued with some soothing music & me glancing at Arjun from time to time. I observed that he is having dark circles under his eyes, may be he didn't sleep well yesterday!

"umm..you love dancing?" I heard him asking me.

"yeah!" I said with a small smile.

"you dance well" He said with a admiration in his voice.

"Thank you!" I said and also wanted to add "You too" but didn't find enough courage to tell him that. I remembered how gracefully he danced with me. A mere thought of that dance with him makes me feel giddy.

A comfortable silence fell around us. It felt nice to be alone with him even though we don't talk much. I saw our office building and realized that we reached our office.

"Thank you very much sir" I said getting down from his car.

"you are welcome" He said politely and smiled at me. He drove back into the parking place.

We both walked towards the elevator, there are already several employees standing there. I wished them good morning. The elevator opened and I walked inside, only to find no more place for Arjun. There were two more men along with him standing outside. I looked at him, he slightly nodded at me. I passed him a small smile and the Elevator doors slowly closed.

"This is what happened!" I said sighing in relief, looked at them to find surprise and shock in Riya's & Karan's face respectively.

So, Very Very Long update I have ever written!! Hope I managed to make it up for the late update!
Hope you all enjoyed reading it!!

Some of you have asked for Arjun's Pov but revealing his view now itself will make the story miss the fun so I managed to write up from Nisha's pov as only a brother or sister can clearly understand what their siblings feel!! Hope you liked it!!
