I am very Sorry!! I know I am updating this chapter after a long time but plz bear with me 😆

"Calm down Riya!! What's gotten into you? I hope you remember we are still in office!" I said shaking my head at Riya's antics.

"oh c'mon! We are going clubbing for first time ever in our life and you want me to sit calmly. You know it will be so much fun, just imagine dancing all night with friends. Wow!!" Riya said with a huge grin on her face and excitement overflowing in her voice. I couldn't help but smile at her.

Ever since both our parents allowed us to go clubbing tonight, she is so overly excited and kept discussing about it all the time. I am not gonna deny but secretly I am excited for this too, I mean both of us love dancing and definitely partying and dancing at a club would be a different experience.

"yeah! I guess at least now, we should start working before someone fires us" I said trying to divert her. She just shrugged and continued ranting. I shook my head at her. Luckily, Meenu joined the conversation and they both continued to talk giving me sometime to work on the presentation that I had to submit the coming week. I kept collecting all the necessary data needed that is to be added to the slides. After sometime, one of my colleague said that Arjun asked me to meet him.

Someone's missing me already!! My heart said.

Lol!! My brain spoke.

Oh just stop now!!

"Er...hey Meghna! Can I talk to you for a minute?" Aditya spoke appearing out of nowhere. Why now?

"yeah okay!" I said moving out of my cubicle while Riya passed me a teasing smile.

"I got to know that you are coming for the party tonight...so..I...thought" he spoke but trailed off when he saw me lost in my thoughts.

"you are coming right?" he asked nervously.

"oh yeah! I am coming" I said giving him a smile. I felt him relaxed at that moment.

"Great! So..I thought..may be I can pick you up...you know" he said giving me a nervous smile.

"um..Thanks but actually I and Riya already planned to go together from my house and your place is also far from mine so its okay, we'll meet you there itself" I said trying to decline his request smoothly not wanting to hurt him.

"No! Its okay! I mean I can come to your house, it isn't very far though..." he said trying to convince me.

"please Aditya! Its perfectly alright, we will come their directly and sorry I got to go now, I need to meet Arjun immediately, he must be waiting" I said giving him a small smile hoping he would understand not to push me more in this matter.

"okay! See you there" he said sounding disappointed and walked away.

I think what Karan said is right! Maybe Aditya likes me!! I think I should do something about it because I don't want him to feel hurt because of me. I should talk to him. The sooner the better!!

I reached Arjun's cabin, was about to knock the door but I saw Karan talking to him, I decided to wait not wanting to interrupt them but Arjun had seen me and signalled me to walk in. I smiled at him and walked inside.

"c'mon Arjun! You have to come! Its been so long since we partied!" Karan spoke with a serious look on his face.

"Yes Meghna! What is it?" Arjun spoke ignoring Karan's words.

"um..good morning sir. Raj said you called me" I said smiling and looked at Karan.

"oh yeah good morning! I just wanted to ask about the presentation once" he said still ignoring Karan's presence.

"Arjun! You are coming! No more discussions on this" Karan spoke his voice showing finality.

"Karan Please!! Let me work" Arjun said turning towards Karan. I just stood their awkwardly.

"Meghna is coming too" Karan said with a smirk on his face. My eyes widened in shock. Why would he say something like that. I immediately glared at him.

"I mean, Everyone are coming" Karan said with a stupid grin on his face.

Arjun turned and kept looking at me as if he was trying to ask me something but when I didn't say anything, He spoke "Okay! I am coming" and then he smiled.

"That's great!!" Karan said smiling at us. I smiled back.

Is he coming for me?? Aww.. My heart said.

Dream on!!  taunted my brain.

"um..so Meghna, How is the work going on?" Arjun spoke his business mode on, breaking my inner thoughts.

"yeah sir, I started working on the presentation already. I gathered all the necessary information also. I will submit it two days in advance" I spoke confidently maintaining an eye contact with him.

"Great! I hope you wont let me down" Arjun said with a smile on his face.

"sure sir" I said returning his smile.

"If you guys are done talking about work, I guess I can talk to my best friend now" Karan said in a bored tone.

"I already said I am coming, what is leftover to talk?" Arjun asked raising his eyebrows at Karan.

"I said I want to talk to my best friend" Karan said with a smirk on his face.

Oh my god! Why is Karan talking like this!!

"c'mon Meghna! lets go" Karan said winking at me. I could see Arjun's expression turning a bit shocked but he quickly masked it with a small smile.

What is it with Karan today?

"okay sir, I will make a move now" I said giving an awkward smile at Arjun. He just nodded at me. Karan & I both walked out.

"What is it with you today?" I asked confused at his behaviour. When Karan didn't speak anything. "Why were you.." I spoke but cut off by Karan "Coffee?" he asked. I nodded at him. We entered cafeteria and he ordered two coffees.

"hmmm...this feels so good!! By the way, you were asking something?" Karan asked sipping onto his coffee.

"why were you behaving oddly today? I never saw you talking to Arjun like that! How he might have felt?? " I said in a worried tone wondering how Arjun might have felt.

"oh come on! He was getting on my nerves since yesterday!! You don't know what all I had to do to convince him to attend the party and I know...my last weapon would definitely work on him and it did" he said chuckling on his own words.

"What weapon?" I asked savouring the bittersweet taste.

"You" he said.

"what?" I asked raising my eyebrow at him.

"my last weapon is 'Meghna is coming too' " Karan said quoting in the air.

I looked down trying to control the blush creeping onto my cheeks. Suddenly the empty coffee cup on the table became the most interesting thing for me.

"ahaan...I see, someone is blushing" Karan teased me.

"please stop it Karan!" I said slowing lifting my eyes to look at him. Luckily, he conversed on some other lighter topics later.

The rest of the passed in a blur and Riya & I reached home a bit early than usual. I told Riya that I am going to rest for a bit but she forcefully pushed me into the bathroom to freshen up. I decided to take a warm shower which in turn help me feel relaxed.

I smiled looking at my reflection in the mirror, the black full sleeved Knee length dress fitted me perfectly. I bought this dress when we shopped before joining job.

Riya forced me put on lot of makeup but I simply added my Eyeliner and strawberry lip gloss. I styled my hair into soft curls and left them loose. It was almost seven by the time we both got ready. The drive from our house to the club takes for about half an hour.we both bid bye to my family and started to travel by my scooty.

The drive turned out to be very tiring as we got struck in traffic.We reached the club at quarter past eight and almost most of them are already there.

As soon as we entered, I could here loud music booming all over the place.We spotted Priya & Vamshi and congratulated them. I spotted Karan and walked towards him with Riya tagging behind me.

"Wow! You both look great!!" Karan said as soon as we reached him.

"Thanks!" we smiled at him gratefully.

We met all our colleagues and talked to them but my eyes kept searching for someone. I wondered whether he really turned up or not.

"hey Meghna! You look gorgeous" I turned around and saw Aditya beaming at me.

"Thanks Aditya" I smiled at him.

I spotted Tina and some others but Arjun was nowhere to be found. I think he didn't come. I sighed in disappointment.

Aditya continued to talk but my mind was elsewhere. I kept nodding at times. Riya called me and I excused myself and walked towards her.

"come lets go and get some drinks" she said getting hold of my wrist.

"Drinks?" I raised my eyebrow at her.

"I meant Orange juice yaar" she said nonchalantly. I nodded at her and started walking towards the Drinks section.

I stopped dead on my tracks when I spotted Arjun clad in Black leather Jacket. He turned around and his eyes met mine. Everything around me faded as I continued to look at the epitome of perfection stood just two feet away from me. We kept looking at each other for what felt like eternity.

My trance broke when someone nudged me, I turned towards Riya but once again I looked at Arjun and saw that his mouth slightly open and his eyes looking at me with....admiration.

Riya grabbed my hand and pulled me towards Arjun's direction. All this time, Arjun & I both kept looking straight into each others eyes. Neither of us not wanting to break our eye lock.

We finally reached him, Riya wished him and that made him avert his gaze towards her. She ordered two orange juices for us. I think he also came to get some drinks for them but what shocked me more was he too ordered some orange juice. May be he doesn't drink. I smiled at him when I saw him staring at my direction. He just nodded at me. Is he Bipolar?

We walked back to our group, Arjun & Karan were talking and I took that chance to take in his image properly.
He wore a Black leather Jacket on a grey t-shirt with Black Jeans. He just looked so perfect. I wondered how can someone look so perfect in casual wear. He turned towards me as if sensing my look, I quickly averted my gaze.

"hey Meghna! Come lets dance" Aditya said appearing out of nowhere. I didn't know what to say, I know it is not a couple dance but I didn't felt comfortable dancing alone with Aditya. I looked at Riya and Karan for some help. Immediately, Karan moved forward and said " Come guys, Lets Dance". Luckily, some of our colleagues moved onto the dance floor. I sighed in relief.

We danced for sometime. It was some much fun. Karan is a very good dancer too. Aditya danced well too. I felt a bit conscious about his looks at the beginning but as soon as the rhythm picked up all I did was sway according to the music. Arjun didn't dance but I observed that Tina was forcing him to dance with her. Anyways, all her attempts turned futile. I could feel Arjun's eyes on me all the time. I must say it feels great to loosen up a bit sometimes.

After sometime Vamshi & Priya cut the cake and I hugged her, congratulated them once again.

Riya pulled me back onto the dance floor. The music turned into a slow song and the engaged couple started dancing, soon everyone paired up and started dancing.

"May I have this dance please?" Aditya asked me holding his hand out. I reluctantly placed my hand on his. He maintained some good distance between us which was a relief for me.We danced for sometime, making slow movements. I saw Riya was dancing with Karan, I looked for Arjun but he was nowhere to be seen on the dance floor. I searched for him and found him standing at a corner sipping his orange juice looking straight towards us. I am unable to understand the look on his face. Soon, everyone changed partners and I saw Karan walking towards me.

"Can I have this dance, beautiful?" he asked winking at me. I nodded at him smiling.

"what is it? You are so quiet!" Karan spoke breaking my thoughts about Arjun.

"hmm...can I ask you something?" I asked him to which he nodded in affirmative.

"you guys don't drink?" I asked the question which has etched on my mind ever since I entered.

"Nope! Why Is it compulsory or what?" he asked teasing me.

"No! no! It is just that, these days everyone does, so I thought may be....you guys will also" I said looking at him.

"Arjun doesn't like smoking or drinking and he doesn't allow me too" He said feigning a sad expression. I laughed at his expression.

"Good!" I mumbled to myself.

"huh?" he asked confused.

"um..nothing" I said smiling at him.

We continued to dance for sometime and everyone decided for one more last song before calling it a day.

I slowly made my way to a corner feeling a bit tired. Everyone changed their partners and I saw Riya is now dancing with Raj, Karan danced with one of our colleague. I just stood their looking at them but out of nowhere Arjun appeared before me.

Arjun held his hand out before me, I glanced at his handsome face and then at his hand. He didn't say anything but kept looking straight into my eyes. Without any further ado, I placed my hand on his. He pulled me closer to him grabbing me by my waist. butterflies erupted in my stomach due to our proximity. My heartbeat quickened.We both slowly swayed in accord with soft music. I slowly lifted my head to look at him, our eyes got locked as we continued to dance slowly. It felt as if we were the only ones dancing. I felt him pulling me closer to him leaving no space between us. I could smell his strong cologne. At this moment, I couldn't think of anything else, the only thing mattered to me now is that I was in Arjun's arms and he held me as if I am one of his possession. I loved this. I can stay like this forever. My heart was swelling with happiness. I didn't know when the song has come to an end. We slowly parted away. I moved from their and joined Riya but all I could think was whether all this is for real or not.

Did I really dance with Arjun?

It actually felt like a dream come true.

Maybe it is really a dream? What if I wake up and all this turns out to be a dream??
