(Y/n's POV)

"Wooooaaaahhhh!!",we almost screamed as Jin drove the car down the mountainous terrain. We were literally sliding down the hill...

"Jin be careful...!",I shouted..
"I am...!",he said as the car now started flying in the sky. The ground below the wheels was over!

I closed my eyes shut as Jin landed the car on the street, proceeding to take a bootleg turn...

The wheels turned 180 degrees and the car was almost on the two left wheels, the right ones above the ground level.

It all left like an action movie..

We landed straight and Jin accelerated to reach the house faster.

The Jam would waste a minimum 30 minutes but we reached the house in 15 minutes.

"Get down... Run!",said Jin, stopping the car infront of the house.

I opened the door and ran straight to the main door. It was locked from inside. Jimin,Aries and Namjoon were also here and they were trying to open the door.

"Break the window...!",shouted Jin
"But...",said Jimin, hesitant to damage his hyung's property.
"It can be fixed Jimin. We're not losing the glass. If we delay, We'll lose Alpine. Fast..!", announced Jin.

Jimin nodded and broke the window to enter. We all entered the house to see Jungkook with a bleeding arm rushing down the stares as Alpine lost her balance to fall on the ground...

"Alpine!!!",I shouted...
"Alpine!",shouted Aries
"Alpine!!!",shouted Jungkook, loudest of all..

Alpine was on the floor, a puddle of blood spilt everywhere. Alpine blacked out and Jungkook rushed straight to her. Hoseok and Yoongi also had ran down to the spot.

"Pick her up, Pick her up!",shouted Yoongi

Jungkook looked from his left to right, absorbing the instructions as he pulled Alpine up, her face on his chest, her blood painting Jk's pale white shirt,red.

Jin opened the door and Jungkook ran with Alpine on his chest to the hospital.

"Hoseok-ah... The keys!",shouted Jin as Hobi threw him a new car key.

Yoongi rushed out of the garage with a SUV. All of us hurried to the hospital in our cars. Although we had stil bodies, our hearts be popping out of the chest.

We reached the hospital and I must say, Jk ran faster than ever.

"Doctor she needs to be admitted right now!",shouted Jungkook, still carrying the poisoned Alpine.
"What's the matter?",asked Jin on reaching the reception.
"Sir this is a police case. We ca-"
"This the Daughter of Commando Daniel Throndsen, Korea's hero. Admit her at this moment.", thundered Yoongi.
"Umm.. okay, okay sir.. Ward Boy, bring the stretcher..!",shouted the Doctor.

The stretcher was brought and they rushed Alpine to the ICU. Aries and Namjoon patiently waited for the doctor to come whereas I was turning restless.

The doctor came out of the room and Jungkook almost hopped on him, holding his hands.

"Doctor... Alpine? My Al? What's..."
"I'm sorry sir....",said the Doctor with a deep sigh.
"What!",I said in a hurry.
"I'm sorry sir, ma'am. I did my best but I don't think the patient can be saved. Everything depends on God now. I've given the medicine, did everything I could but she may not live.. I'm sorry...",said the Doctor before leaving us alone.

Jungkook fell on his knees. He clenched his aching heart. He was suffering.

Aries lost her balance but Namjoon safely made her sit on the bench. She was suffering.

Jimin,Hoseok and Yoongi were devastated to the extent that words couldn't form on their tongue, be that to express agony or be that to give the hearts some comfort.

Polo and Taehyung were frozen in their place. They never expected that our enemy would go to the extent of harming our sister.

Who am I to say? Did I expect?

The sky turned dark with black clouds, not a single ray of sun hitting the ground. Cold breeze started blowing ravishingly yet the tinge of sadness and pain revolved around the thundering sky. Drops of rain hit the nearby land, wetting the dry grass of late May.

Rain was common in the month of middle June but this time it was early, unexpected just the way this incident was.

The sky lighted with a sharp lightning with whom Jk raced today just to see his life go down...

Jin lowered his head...

I could tell he was blaming himself. He was scarred again. A dry scar. A numb scar.

A lively injury hurts less than the numb one. Because you still have hopes of it mixing well with your skin. But a numb and dry scar never leaves your body, leaving you insecure of everything you've ever done.

The scars on the heart never even heal. They're dry, They're numb yet they are living injuries.

Jin left the room. I couldn't leave him alone. I can't bear to see another injury on my heart.

I followed him to where he was going...

(Jungkook's POV)

The world around me had shattered down to pieces so small that maybe even a 45x microscope will miss the sight.

If I had anything I wanted to clinge on in my hard times, it was always her, it was always my Alpine.

I wasn't this person from the beginning. I was a selfish and possesive person. I didn't value love. Taehyung and Jimin surely did hold onto me and my nature but were never able to change me.

I was misogynistic, I was overproud of myself, my money. All that I know I was like is a complete bastard with no social skills, no etiquettes, no brains.

I was sure that Alpine will like me at one go. I was the Casanova of the college. But Alpine wasn't like the other girls of the class.

I had met many whores, spent time with them, eating around malls and buying riches but not a single time would that attract Alpine.

She changed me. She brought the better side of me.

I promised to Mrs. Throndsen that I'd protect her daughter, the whole day, the whole night,the whole month,year,century.

But I failed. I failed in protecting her. I failed Mrs. Throndsen.

I was late. I am always late. And this time my bad punctuality costed me hefty.

I lost my Alpine.

They say,"The one who laughs,cries later."

But for me it turned out too grave.

I lost my hope of living.

She never left my side. My company wasn't doing well. The artist her, designed for me.

I was struggling with loans, she supported me with cash even when she herself was a struggler.

She was there when I turned broke, She was there when I became rich.

She never stopped supporting me, Saving me. And I failed at doing the same.

A life without her is just like lungs without oxygen.
I search for her the same way feet look for the ground.
I need her just as much as a fish needs water.
I need her because a kite has no defined location, height without its anchor holding it.

If I'm the kite, Alpine is my anchor.

Even the wind and rain laughed at me. It felt like the world was laughing at me and my failure.

I could hear a world laughing at me and their screeching voices reminding of my failure.

"What a useless man!"
"Couldn't even save his own betrothed."
"Hahahaha..."
"Hahahah"
"Hahah"
"Hahehaha"

I had no tears to cry. I was laughing, pain engulfing me in its embrace.

Jimin bent to me and made my head lie on his chest. Taehyung hugged me from my other side...

"Cry...",said Jimin..
"If only I had enough tears..."
"She'll be okay Kook, she'll be. She's not dead. I know she's a warrior. She'll win the fight...",said Taehyung, wiping his tears off.

I didn't have the face to show them.

My heart was screaming. My body wanted to give up on me.

The thunder raged on, more and more. The rain filled my place of no tears....

Aries was lost in pain. Aries got back to her senses and got on her feet. She walked to the door of the ICU.

She started banging on the door.

"Alpine! Wake up you idiot! Wake up! You've had enough of sleep. It's 6:00 PM already. Get up! I'm here to annoy you.. get up!!!",she said while banging the door and falling on her knees, crying in pain.

To me....",sang Aries still crying.

I looked at her. This song, they sing it all the time. This song is what united Jin Hyung and Y/n.

Y/n had chased Jin to the other room and now she ran back to us, singing the song Aries started.

"I'll be staying...
When the sun's low
And we got no where to go,
I'll be staying...
When you'll be alone,
We'll always have something common",sand Trisha

I got up on my feet, I opened the door of the ICU. If only that song could save them.....

(Y/n's POV)

I followed him to where he was going.

He stood infront of the large windows and again started walking farther away.

The rain was getting faster and the clouds grew darker.

"Jin!",I called out.

He stopped but didn't turn to face me. I approached him and caught his hands. He had his head low, eyes with hidden tears.

"Where are you going?"
"I was going to the airport to book return tickets for all of them."
"Why? Alpine isn't yet well. She will survive I know and when she does, she needs some time to recover."
"I'll manage that. You all need to go back to New Zealand. That's the place you all belong to."
"Fine if we return using public transport, what's happening to their jets and helicopters..?"
"I'll transport those too. You all are not in a state to fly them at this moment. You all should leave tomorrow!"
"And why on earth would we?"
"Because I told!",said Jin, till maintaining his calm.
"We're not your children that we'll do whatever you tell us to neither are we any of your employees."
"Y/n listen to me, go back to New Zealand with Aries and Alpine. Go back with Jungkook, Taehyung and Jimin. Take Polo too. Return to your life of Trisha."
"Why?"
"Because I don't want any of you to get harmed because of me.."

I choked on my words. Is he blaming himself for everything?

"You're thinking it's all because of you?",I said with a calmer tone.
"Who else is, then? Can you blame Alpine? The whole society can't make up a rubbish reason for her getting harmed. If not I ever tried to find you, if I ever not fell for you, Trisha, if I ever not did these, you wouldn't get reminded of all these. You wouldn't come back to me. If only I died that day, you all wouldn't need to face these. The person is my enemy. I'm his enemy, not you all. But he's harming you all...!",he said, unleashing his tears and letting them flow.
"Jin... It's not just you right?"
"And that's why I'm crying. First it was me who was the enemy. Now you and Taehyung are added. It's all because of me. Because he only knew I lived. He didn't know Taehyung did. He didn't know you did. And now that you two do, he'll do anything to remove you. Just like he tried killing me."
"Jin..."
"He's not simple Y/n. He knows everything about us. He knows who likes what. He knows who can be where. Maybe he's still watching over us. Y/n the one who can sell a 4 year old girl for money, The one who can attempt to kill his own baby son, the one who can kill his adult son just for property is not a normal villain. If I just consider him that father of mine who abandoned both me and Taehyung then I have to say, he's not simple Y/n, he's not."
"I know Jin. Do you think I suffer less? Do you think I don't fear their pain? Do you think I am liking my sister's condition?"
"I know you're not and that's why I want you all to go away..."
"Jin, I won't. I grew up with the same teachings as Alpine. We never leave the one we love. We don't run away from problems because they'll return. Anyhow. I'll stay. Even if that means I have to die. I can follow you to heaven, I will..."

Jin hugged me, he suppressed his loud cry. And I closed my eyes, resting my head on his when I heard Aries's voice singing our song, the one I wrote with Jin, the one which United us all.

I shook Jin and Jin understood what I wanted to say without even saying.

We ran to the rest and I continued the lines of the song Aries had started.

Jungkook, wrenched in pain, opened the door of the ICU..

Wake up...
Alpine

You have to live....
