The notification woke her
She picked it up without any plight
Despite the hour it wasn't a blur
Eyebrows furrowed, curiosity filling her veins
With that the whole story began
No idea of how it would bring several pains
Unfortunately for her it occurred in a short time span
Talked every day; from late nights to sunny days
Sharing stories and thoughts about everything
They entered an unusual phase
Slowly transforming into a special something
Then the day came around
Clocks moved slowly, the world coming to a halt
Once again she couldn't feel the ground
bad timing was at fault
Each time something went wrong
Couldn't admit it but it was breaking her apart
Walked in each time with a brave front, attempting to be strong
Unable to deny it, he had crawled his way into her heart
Soon enough nightmares became routine
Afraid of the evil shadow lurking
The danger and signs she had all seen
But the strings attached prevented her from working
At least not until it all faded away
No shares of anything at all

Out of nowhere, for a split second
A light flashed, offering a chance
She was awarded with a check-in
Yet it wasn't a proper dance
Rigged and mysterious once again

Funny how a simple message
Could turn her world upside down
Lead her down a dark passage
Unfit to wear the stupid golden crown
Maybe one day.
