It's been a while since he's been gone
How did things change so much so fast
Getting a little more difficult each day to hold on
Last text she received; didn't know it would be the last

Why did this all even have to happen
He...none of them deserve all this pain
In a matter of minutes, his and her world blacken
Refusing to let anything and everything he did be in vane

The day the first words were exchanged
Flipped her world upside down
It's true...the best things happen when they're not arranged
Made her smile rather than frown

Slowly became the only one she wanted
Staying up late and sharing their late night thoughts
Old memories fill her with joy yet still have her heart feeling haunted
As she heard the news her stomach tied into knots

Breaking at the thought of his fading heartbeat
No longer wanted to stay still and wait
She denied the feeling of defeat
Them meeting wasn't luck...it was fate

Doesn't know how long he'll be away
Wondering if he knows he is all she thinks about
Waiting for that day of fulfilling their promise of one day
May not know a lot of things but their love is the only thing she doesn't doubt

All they wanted was to be together
One day even if they have to wait forever...
