Roman disliked how sweaty he felt after practice. Sure, they could take showers- but the ginger on the top floor hadn't been far north when he'd called Roman a shy jock. Curiously though, it was the first time he'd been called out for it- he usually never let his guard down enough to reveal his insecurities...but let one cute boy cross his line of vision and apparently he was a goner.

Roman couldn't get Virgil out of his head. He wanted to get to know the other better, he wanted to be his friend for starters...anything more was a bonus. But how was he supposed to do that?

"Princey!"
Roman received a harsh slap on the back, wincing but grinning nonetheless, turning his head to face Tom, who returned the wide grin.

"Serpent." Roman hissed back in good humor.

"So," Tom hooked an arm around Roman's shoulders, "You've been ssstaring at the wall for quite some time there, what're you thinking about?"

Roman's face flushed, waving a hand dismissively, "Ah, nothing important."

"Bullshit!" Tom cackled, thwacking him on the back and moving in front of him as Roman changed his red jersey for red letterman, clad with gold and white stripes and a white R on the left side of the chest of the hoodie.

"You know, I think blush looks quite nice on ya, prince." Tom winked, making Roman snort and roll his eyes, "But it really depends on who's causing it?"

Tom was one of Roman's only friends other than...Logan? If he counted? They got along fine, but jabbed at each other quite frequently. Surely he could tell him if we liked a boy?
Tom was openly out, and he joked about it enough that nobody seemed to be able to get under his skin enough to cause real damage- which was real helpful for him since their fellow teammates could really give a ribbing.
The team to them was like family, but Tom was the only one who sought Roman out for more than just his excellent capabilities. Excellent by his standards.
Regardless, Roman just didn't feel quite close enough to the boy- he felt closer to his roommate, which wasn't much closer, and still didn't even feel comfortable telling Logan...
Who was also-
Was Logan out or was that something that just Roman knew?
He better not mention it just in case...but if it was something just he knew, wouldn't it be fair to tell Logan if he liked a boy?
He shook his head.
Too many thoughts and not enough time.

"Just this girl on...my floor.." Roman mumbled. That entire statement was a lie.

"OooOOo! Has princey got himself a lady?" Tom gasped, pushing Roman with a toothy smile.

Roman shrugged with a small smile, "Ah, come on, she's not much." Wow, even if he'd gotten the gender correct, he'd be lying.

"How long have you two been...seeing each other?" Tom winked.

Roman smirked coolly, "Not long- haven't gotten very far in...finessing..."

"She'll come around." Tom snorted, "They always do."

"Oh yeah? You've got experience with girls?" Roman snorted in disbelief, slamming his locker shut when he'd finished changing, throwing his backpack over his shoulder and starting out of the locker room with Tom.

"No, of course not." Tom laughed, "But I've dated enough boys to know that if you really put the effort into asserting yourself into a relationship- they'll come crawling back to you in no time." He emphasized this with a snap of his fingers.

"Sounds a bit aggressive." Roman sniffed as he headed back towards his dorm.

Tom simply shrugged, "Love makes one crazy."

"I didn't say you were-"

"Hey, Rem and I were going to go grab some lunch? Want to come?" Tom interrupted, nodding to the left where a boy could be seen sleeping on a bench.

"Oh yeah, Remy. I think I've uh, that you've introduced me before." Roman nodded. He really would prefer to take a shower- but didn't want to miss an opportunity to hang out with someone, "Would you guys be willing to wait a few while I drop some things off at my dorm?"

Tom thought a moment before nodding, "Sure. Just be quick! Be back in fifteen!" He called as Roman began to walk back towards his dorm, "Got it!"

***

"Shit!" Roman hissed as the shower wouldn't turn on. Logan was right the other day when he proclaimed that if they were out of ice, they must be out of water- so seemed this case. He reached for his towel, hung up outside the shower. He quickly wrapped it around his waist before slipping out. He then redressed and made his way outside the bathroom. He sighed in thought before the whole ice scenario seemed to settle in and he cringed at his primary option.

Go without a shower and risk getting acne on his perfectly perfect skin...or take a shower upstairs.

He could easily go down a floor and ask to use their showers...but even if it would be awkward to ask Virgil to use his floor's showers...it'd be so much more awkward to have that be your first impression of someone on a separate floor.
So, he quickly booked it towards the elevator, not wanting to keep Tom later than he had to. He tapped his foot impatiently until the elevator door opened and he slipped inside, hitting the top floor button, only to see it's already been hit, as he nearly crashing into the person currently residing in the elevator.

"Sorry- Virgil!" Roman grinned as he saw the shorter hunched in the corner of the elevator, looking unamused and a bit baffled at being ran into.

"Come to get more ice?" Virgil snorted.

"No, actually, um-" Roman cleared his throat, "The water pressure is off on our floor- I came to see if I could borrow one of the showers quickly."

"Borrow?" Virgil snorted.

"Well- oh surely you know what I mean." Roman waved his hand.

"Sure." Virgil shrugged, pulling his keycard out, "But use my keycard one more time and I'm going to think you're using me." He half joked.

Roman took it fairly seriously, "I'd never."

Roman whistled to himself as he finished yo his shower, usually taking up to an hour, he did it in a mere seven minutes, knowing he had company waiting for him, but moreover, knowing Virgil was nearby, he felt awkwardness like no other settle in.
He turned off the shower head with a hum and glanced to where he'd left his clothes,
and where they no longer were.
His eyes widened in panic as his eyes darted to a note left on the counter.

Revenge is bitch, bro! Gimme back the X-Box password and you can have your letterman back!
-Remus

"That bitch!" Roman cursed. He'd forgotten his brother was located on the top floor- considering they never interacted much. For twins, they were as far apart in personality as two could get.
He quickly looked around the bathroom. There was a towel that had been left for later it looked like, as it looked unused. It was pink with ducklings on it...but it would have to do.
Roman swallowed dryly, taking the towel and wrapping it around his waist.

This particular favor was going to be Roman's least favorite to have to ask. And right after he'd told the boy he'd not ask him anymore- well, fate intervened he supposed.
And what more could he do? Walk back to his dorm with a mere towel around his waist?
Towels and boxers were two completely different things.
So, Roman made his way to the front of the bathroom...and, keeping the towel tightly wrapped around his waist, he booked it to the boy's dorm, pounding on the door.
It opened within seconds to reveal a rather shocked looking Virgil and Patton.

"Right so, I know I said I wouldn't ask you a favor again- but I feel this might be an exception?"
