-7 years into the future-
"Uncle Sting I don't want to go!" The girl cried, hugging onto the blondes leg. Sting heard dragons roaring in the distance. They didn't have much time left. He kneeled down and caressed her face.

"You need to go through that gate. I know you're scared but trust me, it'll work. When you go back seven years in the past, go to the Grand Magic Games. You'll find me there. You still have that locket I gave you?"

"Y-Yes, the picture of the lady." The girl took the locket out of her cloak and opened it, revealing a picture of (Y/N).

"Find her and tell her everything that's happening in the future. She's always been stubborn so don't be surprised if she doesn't listen to you at first. Show her your face and she'll know." Sting smiled at her

"Why can't you go with me?!" The girl sobbed

"Because I-"

Loud bangs from outside were heard. Someone was trying to get in.

"You need to go now. It will be alright, aunt Lucy is already there waiting for you." Sting picked the girl up and began to open the gate

"Sting before I go can you please tell me who my dad is?" She asked

Sting heard the door being broke down "I'm sorry but there is not enough time." He grabbed her and tossed her into the gate

"Uncle Sting!!!"

He slammed the gate shut.

-Present day-
The last day of the Grand Magic Games took place. (Y/N) was not allowed to participate since Minerva wanted to compete instead.
(Y/N) was angry beyond words that Minerva just swooped in and stole her spot. She planned on just staying in her hotel room sleeping until Natsu, Wendy, Mirajane, and the exceeds showed up. They begged her for help, apparently Lucy was kidnapped and they were going on a secret mission. (Y/N) accepted the invitation without refusal once, that surprised them. It lead to them getting trapped underground of the castle, Mirajane and Lucy having a fashion show, and nearly being killed by a few executioners. Oh wait, did she even mention that another Lucy came from the eclipse gate claiming that she's from the future. What else could go wrong on this rescue mission?

Currently, they made their way out of the prison and into the castle halls itself. They were spotted and guards were ordered to kill them.

"Show them no mercy! Surround them!"

"There's already more of them coming?" Leo, one of Lucy's celestial spirits asked

"We need to finish this and go back." (Y/N) said, powering up her ice magic

"Just stay still for a second and I'll end your miserable life." One of the executioners said, holding up a card.

"Look princess someone is here to punish us." Virgo, another celestial spirit said

"Yeah! I can see that!" Lucy shrieked

After defeating the last wave of soldiers, they were all exhausted. Mainly Natsu since he wanted to take a nap on the floor but Lucy told him a strict no. Out of the corner of (Y/N)'s eye, she spotted someone in the corner of the room that looked like they wanted to be hidden. Assuming it was another executioner, (Y/N) blasted ice arrows at them.

"Ice make shield!" The person said and made a shield in front of their small figure

It took a second for (Y/N) to process that they just did an ice make magic spell. It took her another one to realize that they sounded like a little girl. (Y/N) smashed their shield in half, the person shrieked in fear. She held up a sharp icicle to their neck.

"Who the hell are you?" 

"I-I..I..." The person stuttered

"If you won't answer me, I'll kill you. Who are you?"

"Please don't hurt me mom!!!"

(Y/N)'s eyes widened

'Mom?!'

"Did she just say mom?!" Natsu called out from the other side of the hallway

(Y/N) got confused and tore down the hood of their cloak. It revealed long (H/C) and big
(E/C) eyes. The little girl in front of her was crying non stop. As for (Y/N), she felt as if she was looking into a mirror.

"Who are you?" (Y/N) said in a softer tone, lowering down the sword.

"I-I-I'm (Y/N) (L/N), I'm your daughter from the future. I was named after you by my uncle, Sting." The girl said quietly

'How did I have a kid? Who's the father? Where am I from the future?' (Y/N) thought 'Is it Rogue....?' Her face went red

"You died when I was a little baby. You were murdered. Uncle Sting and Yukino took care of me ever since. But then..." She answered, trailing off.

'Damn, I'll die before killing Acnologia.' (Y/N) mentally cursed 'And I left my child alone too.'

"So who's the baby daddy huh?" Leo asks jokingly

"Leo come near me or my kid and I'll break your arm." (Y/N) responded

"You're just like what uncle Sting said you were like," The little girl said, (Y/N) and the others turned to listen "He said you were really tough and told me lots of stories about you. I've always wanted to meet you."

(Y/N)'s facial expression saddened and she hugged her mirror image.

"I'm sorry that I wasn't there for you. I should've been there to see your grow up. Forgive me. Please tell us why you're here."
(Y/N) said

"I'm here to save you and the future," The girl responded with heart eyes "Even if it means I would have to die."
