Chapter 17

Delhi;

Bipin formulated theories and mindsets of the terrorists as to why they attacked ISRO. He studied the attack very carefully. One of the theories he came up with shook him from head to toe. All of them were headed for one place. The place where India's true weakness lay, the satellite department in ISRO.

The satellites India and other countries had put in space, were circling earth and gathering data. There were many satellites for varied functions, Communications satellite which mainly allowed communication between the armed forces of India and their headquarters. Geographical satellites, giving Intel on the exact ridges and grasslands in India and many more. The codes of these satellites and the hacking of these could result in havoc and could pose India as the most lethal threat. Bipin submerged once again in making mind maps and digging deeper.

Brussels:

"How'd you find the chocolate factory, Rachel?"

"I don't like chocolate."

"You can't lie to me. Everyone loves chocolate!"

"Fine."

"Come with me," Nakul dragged Rachel into one of the stalls in the men's room.

"What the hell is your problem, Nakul?" she growled.

"I just want to keep you safe," said Nakul, keeping his arms on her shoulders.

"Don't you dare touch me" she gritted while swatting his hands from her shoulders.

"I told you everything! I am a rogue from RAW the Indian Intelligence and I killed the head of the Indian Embassy in Dubai and the head of Morgen Stern in Berlin"

"Oh Wow. What've we come to Brussels for? Killing me?" Rachel hissed and leaned against the cold wall of the stall, Nakul standing opposite her, towering her.

"You have to trust me on this one Rachel."

"Blindly? Knowing you are betraying your own country? Selling your motherland for some green notes?"

Nakul's body posture dropped and sadness flickered in his eyes. "It was never my plan, Rachel"

"I don't think I can ever trust you. Again."

"Okay," he said reluctantly.

"Tell me something. All those times we met, the times we... You pretended to be friendly. What was that for?" asked Rachel. Nakul sighed.

"It wasn't a lie. I genuinely enjoyed your company."

"I don't buy it."

"You don't have to. Listen, I never meant you any harm and I never will. Trust that if you can't trust me," cajoled Nakul.

Silence filled the air, both of them standing still, their minds ripping themselves apart. Nakul felt his loneliness all over again, the dread of his solitude looming over him. Rachel felt betrayed, forced to choose sides that weren't supposed to exist.

"And who are you working for?" she asked, unveiling the silence.

"I'm not for or against anyone. And I don't want to lie to you again. So please don't ask."

"Well, if that's how it's going to be, I'll stay. But, I'm only with you because the cops know my face and I have no other option."

"We gotta go, though. I have my last target."

"Where?" asked Rachel, her shoulders, tensing.

"India."
