Third Point Of View
Virgil sharply sucked in a breath as his arms wrapped and pressed Thomas tightly to his chest. A soft whimper left the latter as he gripped the hoddie of the unremitting side. The two shivered in fear as their minds attempted to recollect themselves and process the situation. The figure chasing them could either be another side, an actual monster, a human being, or about anything. Still they tried to keep quiet ー afraid a single sound would have been enough to alert the mysterious figure that had once chased them.
The duo waited tangled in the arms of the other. They awaited for any possible indicator the figure still stood in-front of the door. The logical thing would have been for the pair to stay hidden inside the locked room until the morning arrived, or any of the other sides came to find them. However, the room felt anything but safe.
The tiny cramped four-wall locked space felt eerily cold. The two somehow just knew the temperature of the room was everything but normal. The way the shadows curled around the items of the room was abnormal. Everything big and small inside the stuffed room just screamed danger.
Virgil tried to keep himself from spiralling into a panic attack for his sake and Thomas. His eyes frantically darted to every corner attempting to figure out the source of his uneasiness. He'd tried to pin the chills on the gnawing feeling of despair and horror from the chase, yet he couldn't. His own mind refusing to relate the two together.
The room by itself was something else.
Thomas carefully eyed the locked door, the only exit. He wanted to leave the "save haven" the two had managed to find. However, he couldn't bring himself to betray his protector. He glanced at the harden yet anxious eyes of his anxious side.
Thomas bit sharply on his lower lip, tasting a tinny flavor, before untangling himself from Virgil's arms and shoving the door wide open.
