Pt.2: Chapter 13
"O-m-my gosh. So I actually get to meet the big man upstairs?!" Amado asked, bewildered.
"Yeup. This is one of the few times you are going to see him--God is quite the busy man. The last time I saw him was when I was training to become a god," I told him.
"Sheesh. Not even any time to see his daughter?" Amado questioned.
"Correct-a-mundo. Keep in mind, the humans are all his sons and daughters, too--just not as close to him. To get to God, I relay a message to Eros."
Amado's attitude immediately shifted. "Does this mean I get to meet Eros, then?"
I smiled at him knowingly. "Yes."
"Then what the fork are we waiting for? Let's get going!" He grabbed my hand and we ran a while before he stopped abruptly, making me slam into him. "Hey, how do we get there?" Amado asked, losing all confidence.
"Did it ever occur to you before that you don't know where you're going?" I asked with a hand on my hip and a smirk.
"No…."
I shook my head & started to run us directly to the right. "C'mon; it's quite a ways this way. Flying will be quicker," I said, and we lifted up in flight.
We arrived to God and Eros' kingdom two Earth days later. Amado was surprised when he saw thousands upon thousands of dwellings.
"What are the frick those buildings?!" He yelled.
"Those buildings, my dear, are where angels stay when they aren't working," I replied.
We continued to fly and as we passed angels that were outside, they bowed or curtsied to us. I smiled at them all, waving, and Amado just looked lost whilst excited. Soon enough, we reached God & Eros palace. I stopped at the gates blocked by guards.
"Good love, noble warriors of God. We are Luna, the moon goddess, and the sun god," I announced.
"Why doesn't said sun god have a name?" A guard questioned.
"Oh, he does. His name is Amado Aurelius Jolyon Sandulf," I responded with confidence.
"How can we trust that you're not Hades and his demons trying to infiltrate?" Another guard demanded.
I snorted. "You clearly know we aren't or we wouldn't have gotten this far. Right, David?"
The guards let us through at that. The test to see if it really isn't Hades or a demon is by saying one of the guard's names. Only the gods and fellow angels knew each other's names.
I dragged Amado through the palace to the throne room. I knocked. "Eros!"
Eros answered. "Good love, Luna!" He exclaimed with a grin.
"FRICK!" Amado screamed before fainting.
Eros looked at Amado and his eyes widened. "FRICK!" He also screamed before fainting.
Well if they do it, I might as well do so too. I took a big inhale, "FRI--"
"That's enough!" Someone yelled.
"Oh my bejeesus!" I yelled, freezing. That someone was God! "Uh… hi dad!"
God gave me a pointed look. "Why were you going to scream 'frick' and fall?"
"It looked fun!" I tried.
God shook his head and opened his arms with a sigh. "My beautiful Luna. Welcome back, filea mea."
"Thank you, pater," I replied with a curtsey.
"Anywho," he cleared his throat and Eros arose. "Eros, why don't you go wait in there," he ordered, motioning to the throne room.
"Yes, father," Eros obeyed and went into the room.
"So, I take it Amado-Aurelius is here to be announced to both human and mystical realms?" He asked.
"Yes, father. I believe Amado is ready. And what will be his new name?" I responded.
"His name will remain the same, as yours did. But he is going to be referred to by mortals as Amado-Aurelius, so we're going to announce him like that," God decided. "Question, do you know why he and Eros fainted when they saw eachother?" He asked.
Thinking about it, it was unusual… unless they were mates. Sometimes, when mates saw eachother with a really strong mate bond (like they were a 95%-100% match), their bodies couldn't handle the sudden conjoining of souls, so they passed out. "Amado didn't have a mate when he was born, and when I met him, figuring out he was my son, I deciphered he was mateless. But this is something that happens between mates with a 95-100% comparability--a really strong mate bond, in other words. Maybe Amado didn't have a mate because Eros is his mate," I suggested.
God acted like he didn't hear me. I would be bothered by that, but he does that a lot so I don't question it anymore.
I clapped my hands and Amado arose, walking through the big double doors.
