4. Spilled drinks
Author POV
The heat of July month is no joke. Well thanks to global warming now we will now need a longer summer vacation. The little drizzles of rain does nothing to tackle the heat. All the students are sweating buckets in this heat.
Meanwhile Vatika is leisurely strolling at the pavement connecting to her school. A cup of Virgin mojito in her hand. Anyone who would see her not think of her as a 11th grade student. She is someone who likes to go by her own rules. Today's heat is so dangerous that this cup of drink was the only thing to keep her cool. In the morning, her grandmother already told her to take the day off but she thought she can handle that.
Her classroom is well ventilated, so there might not be much problem in school. It's been one week and she doesn't have any good friend in her class. When she is crossing the school garage to reach her classroom, a minor accident took place. Some guy miraculously bumped into her, spilling her drink all over the ground. Thank god her uniform is not ruined, otherwise it must have been a disaster.
"Watch where you are going jackass!".
Vatika screamed at the guy, seeing her drink getting wasted. The boy turned around. At first the boy seemed that he truly believed in equality of men and women and will throw hands regardless of it. But then he just stopped reacting, and stood there. It looked like someone pushed the pause button.
The guy stood mutely and simply listened to Vatika's scolding. A few moments later Vatika also noticed the silence of the boy. Now it felt like she is a shrew. She simply thought to leave from there. As she was going to leave, the boy spoke up. "Don't you owe me an apology". If vatika was not standing infront of him then she would not have believed that he said those words.
"Don't be too full of yourself Vyas Shrivastav". Now it is Vyas turn to be surprise. Vatika Rathore has a name of being well-connected though she is also known to be extremely arrogant not socializing with everyone.
Many boys have liked her for years but she is not well acquainted with anyone. Her knowing his name is a huge reason for Vyas to be delighted. "I was just teasing you. I will buy you another drink". Vyas tried to hide the awkwardness and laughed. "No need". Vatika sulked and went away from there not be more late for the classes.
Reaching her classroom Vatika hurriedly took her seat. She is becoming incredibly bored in her classes without her friends. Vatika was seriously considering to socialize with other students when someone sat beside her. "Good morning Vatika, I hope you don't mind me sitting here". It was Ananya from her biology class.
"No problem". Ananya smile and Sat on it. "I didn't know you come here" Vatika asked purely out of curiosity. "No no. I am a new admission and it is purely by luck that they accepted me". Ananya babbled out the words being overly excited by the interaction.
