When Marinette has a professional model for a fiancé, and Adrien has fallen in love with a fashion designer, the ideas about engagement and a real wedding freaked them out at first. But using their resources made the whole event easy if they weren't the ones paying for everything.

As if following tradition, Tom and Sabine took it among themselves to not only to cater the reception, but to help pay for the ceremony once the couple decided on a location. Alya suggested everything to be DIY or buy the necessities in bulk. Since Marinette wasn't going to have bridesmaids, in secret Alya was her maid of honor. Same for Adrien, who was going to have Nino staying close to hand out the tissues.

For the dresses, Marinette was only designing her mother's gown, Alya's maid of honor gown, and then her own wedding gown which will be French but Chinese inspired. After watching show after show after show of women wedding gown shopping, doodling at work, and looking online about traditional dresses, she was becoming inspired and sketched in her design sketchbook.

Easy, slip-style silhouette with a relaxed waist and short train. A dress she felt like herself and comfortable within her design. Not so much lace, but she was attracted to most designs. Silk was an order according to her. Backless with small details like lace or beading, but not to be a show off. She didn't want to follow the trends; this is why she's combining both cultures. She decided on a sweet heart neckline dress with halter neck lace covering from top to hips. The dress was princess cut, with lace under the white silk fabric. She decided on a backless style where the back of the dress starts in the middle of her back. A satin bow will hug her waist as the lace ends.

Most nights she was found sleeping on the couch wrapped up in her ladybug fleece blanket Adrien bought for her during their first Christmas in the apartment. Adrien found her with her sketch book half falling off the couch, so he would catch it first and then attempt to wake his lady up. he swore he didn't see the dress designs, but reminded her that work was the next morning and that they were heading in early.

Deciding on a location felt like a never ending battle. The couple couldn't decide where to hold a ceremony after signing their marriage document. Adrien wanted to honor Marinette's Chinese culture, but after asking her relatives, the couple decided not make each other uncomfortable even after the ceremony—Adrien decided that for Marinette. Marinette wanted to follow traditions based on their countries, but Sabine advised her to go towards a different path of a creative wedding. Which lead to a romantic wedding close to the Eiffel Towers and then celebrating at Le Grand Paris—Chloe's gift to the couple.

With the fashion world in their business, Marinette's co-designers helped her fix up details and make mock up mannequins for her so she can see the dress in person. They called her crazy when she told them she was going to make the dress herself from scratch. As an engagement gift, the designers bought her all the fabric she needed and made a list of measurements. Another gift was a new Fuji camera in a tinted pink color with four packs of film. Gabriel was warned not to help with the dress planning.

On Adrien's side, he was trying not to sound too needy asking his photographers to take his and Marinette's engagement pictures. When Gabriel heard about this, he offered to double a photographer's and a team of make-up artists' pay for the session. To make it up for not helping with Marinette's dress, he offered Adrien a discount off a regular wedding session.

The couple decided on locations and outfits, so they looked towards the photographer in assistance on posing. The photographer would make Adrien pose more gentleman like, but as Adrien followed, he looked for Marinette to make himself feel better about the photoshoot and not like a typical one over the years. During their lunch break, Marinette made fresh croissants, macrons, and tea for the three of them.

Adrien admired the way Marinette posed for her solo photos. The way her dark blue hair flowed in the wind with the red lace ribbons. He was surprised to see a red and white Chinese inspired gown within her set of costumes. When he was asked by his lady to pose with her, he happily agreed and respected the moment of a French-man marrying a French-Chinese woman. Never did her once tried to act inappropriate in front of the camera—he waited to catch her off guard to play around and laugh with her.

As soon as the photos were edited, approved, and printed, Adrien bought picture frames to hang up in the hall ways and frames to place on the coffee table in the living room. They decided to use their favorite picture—the couple leaning in for a kiss with the Eiffel Tower perfectly place in the center—as part of their guest signature book. They used a cute chalk board photo to print on invitations.

Then the date was set for the first day of spring in March.

"N-Not so rough on the hair, mom!" Marinette groaned as Sabine washed her daughter's hair using a tradition Chinese mix for the bride.

"I know you have a sensitive head, dear, but your hair will look wonderful tomorrow when I style it!" Sabine enthused.

Alya laughed a bit while watching from the kitchen table. "Can you believe the wedding is tomorrow, Mari?" she asked.

"I can't...but I can." Marinette sighed, relaxing as her mother washed her hair in the sink like old times. "Everything is done, just waiting on Adrien to text us that everything is set."

"Nino finally found the right playlist for the ceremony and party." Alya said, picking at the apple she was half finished eating. "You might think it's mushy and stuff, but Paris is perfect for a wedding, you know?"

"Yeah, I couldn't ask for a better place to marry." Marinette laughed a bit and taking in the fruity scent. "I'm so nervous."

"You will be, dear." Sabine said, dumping warm water and rinsing her daughter's hair. "It's normal for a woman to be nervous on her wedding day."

If anyone was as nervous as Marinette, Adrien would probably have a second opinion. He hasn't moved from his chair in the dining room for an hour. Nino thought he was taking in the music choices, but he clearly saw how nervous his best friend was by how fast Adrien was shaking his knee.

"Nerves, dude?" Nino asked.

Adrien slightly nodded and let out a heavy sigh. "I asked father if weddings are supposed to be this emotional and he said it was a roller coaster when he got married." He said.

"Do you have your vows?"

"Yeah...I've been rehearsing them."

"Do you have your tux and everything arranged? You were supposed to text the girls."

"Everything but texting them." he said. Nino finally grabbed his knee and to finally stop shaking. "Sorry, I'm just...really...really really- "

"Nervous?"

"Yeah! I-I mean...I'm marrying the most gorgeous woman I've known since we were teenagers! We probably became the most organized couple in the world because we want a happy life. God, I'm so paranoid about messing up." he groaned and put his head in his hands.

Nino sat in the folded chair next to him and patted his shoulder. "It's going to be okay, Adrien. You two will be bonded for life and have a wonderful life together. Don't throw it all away because of some nerves! Everyone gets nervous!"

Adrien considered the words and nodded. "Thanks, Nino. I needed the pep talk."

That night, the couple spent their last night of an engaged couple as Paris' famous superheroes. Though an akuma haven't come to ruin the occasion for a long while . Chat Noir would mention how much he enjoyed the moment of city night life by the monument.

As they finished up patrolling, they decided to sit on Marinette's old balcony and just hold each other. Chat would play with Ladybug's pigtails, threatening to pull the ribbons out to get a reaction.

They recalled happy moments together. The two saving their Parisian world over and over and over that it interfered with their busy schedules and almost ruining friendships. How the two almost risked their lives off of heights and under the influence of an akumas. One of the best group of memories of the two in tight situations. Maybe after all these years, the cat puns were actually funny that Marinette would giggle now and again just remembering them.

When the day finally came for the wedding, Adrien felt like he would faint. Was this how Marinette was feeling too, he would think. The last time they saw each other was that morning at city hall to sign their marriage document. His stomach was in knots as he prepped for the ceremony.

With the last few words of advice from his father, Adrien managed to stand in front of the aisle, waiting for his lady. He looked at the sea of relatives and friends who were invited to come to the ceremony. He would glance at Nino who was looking for the perfect track to play for the bride. When the crowd was asked to rise for the bride, Adrien's heart stopped briefly.

Marinette was beautiful, breathtaking in her gown. Her hair pulled up into a bun with a veil behind the white jeweled hair clip. The bouquet of roses were red and white, which was substituted from the proposal. Her makeup was natural and her bright blue eyes couldn't be any brighter. He watched her take careful steps towards him, but all the gasps and comments were blocked out of his mind as the music played.

"I, Adrien Agreste," He started when they were prompted. He tried not to make his hands twitch as he held hers and looking into her eyes. "I, Adrien Agreste, would be more than happy to take Marinette as my wife. This smart, wonderful, and gorgeous woman in front of me is who I want to be my partner for life. I will be by her side...forever."

Marinette giggled and tried to keep her head down to show she wasn't crying. "A-Adrien, that was beautiful!" she whispered to him. "I-I, Marinette Dupain-Cheng...would love to have Adrien as my husband like I have dreamed for years. I wouldn't be as courageous and outgoing without him. I'm thankful I met him all those years ago...Even if our first real one on one talk was under an umbrella in the rain. I accept him the way he is, who is wonderful, caring, and handsome. I-I love you, Adrien Agreste." She choked a little before letting tears flow down her cheeks.

When prompted, Adrien could pull Marinette any closer to kiss her and gently wipe the tears away. "I love you so much, Marinette."

"I love you too...Adrien, forever and ever now."

AN:

Wow! I know it's a habit of publishing a chapter a week or every other week, but I did hit another plot hole with this! haha!

HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY MIRACULOUS LADYBUG!!

I hope you guys enjoy this chapter! Thought about using less dialogue since i tend to write just an entire chapter on dialogue, but this is the best way to put their engagement and wedding in the same chapter! I would love to read what you guys think about the chapter in the comments!!

Now big question is...are you ready for the real plot?

Since it's Labor Day Weekend here in the US this weekend, I will be working on my Marinette Cosplay and AOT Sasha Cosplay for RamenCon which is 3 whole weeks! If you guys have any Marinette tips -- WIG, PURSE, SHIRT, BLAZER, MAKEUP, ETC -- please comment! Links would be awesome!

Thank you guys for 1.6K on this book!
