"C'mon, Scotty~"

Scott rolled his eyes and shoved his hands into his pockets, "No."

"Please? I know you want to~"

"Vincent, for the last time, I'm not going to lick blood - or anything else - off of your lips. I mean, come on. That's gross."

Vincent huffed, glaring slightly at him, "It's not gross, it's hot."

"It's gay," Scott regretted the words as soon as they were out of his mouth - he hadn't meant that to sound as homophobic as it was.

Vincent looked at him for a moment, then frowned, then turned to face the front.

Scott wavered for just a second as they walked down the hallway, trying to think of a way to apologise without sounding like he really cared, but as he opened his mouth, they turned the corner and both abruptly stopped walking.

There, standing in front of them, were exact clones of themselves.

Scott - and the Scott he was standing across from - widened his eyes, immediately suspicious because there was no way that this was possible. Scott immediately disliked the man in front of him. Whoever this guy was, he wasn't someone Scott would befriend.

Vincent - and the Other Vincent - relaxed into wide grins. "Hello, handsome~" they purred together, narrowing their eyes seductively.

Scott stared at Other Scott, looking around for a projector or a costume, or maybe he was hallucinating? Maybe he fainted back in the room with Vincent. Maybe Vincent slipped something into his drink. That was it. He had to be high. He looked down at his own hands, and then up at Other Scott, realising that he'd been mirroring his actions this whole time. In fact...

"You're thinking what I'm thinking, aren't you?" He spoke, and Other Scott said it at exactly the same time. And then they both nodded.

Scott and Other Scott eyed each other nervously, and then took a step forward.

Scott leaned forward and poked Other Scott, surprised when Other Scott's body was solid, "Oh my gosh... you're real?"

Other Scott nodded, "This is too weird. It's just too weird. Vincent, oh my gawd, you totally drugged me out."

"We did no such thing!" the Vincents spoke together, their arms around each other. "In any case, if we did, then why are we here, too?" They looked at each other, "Well, we could have died. Maybe this is heaven~"

Scott looked at Other Scott, letting it sink in that this really was him. Another him. An exact copy of him. He blinked, "Am I really that skinny?"

"And that short?" Other Scott added.

"And that handsome," The Vincents chimed in.

And then something very peculiar happened.

Scott turned to Vincent and glared at him, "I didn't ask you."

At the same time, Other Scott turned to Other Vincent and said, "Same to you guys~"

Everyone froze.

The Scotts slowly turned to look at each other, each looking as horrified as the other one.

"Three, two, one," Other Scott counted down, and Scott (who was thinking the same thing) knew what he meant.

"Heterosexual," Scott said.

"Homosexual," Other Scott said.

There was silence for a long, long time.

"Oh my gawd," Scott said. "You're gay."

"You're straight!"

Other Vincent turned to Vincent, "Oh, dear, you poor thing."

"Yeah, I know," Vincent said.

"So where did it happen?" Other Scott asked, frowning deeply. "There must have been a point in our lives where I came out of the closet, but you didn't."

Scott blinked and frowned as well, "Okay. Name everything love-related that's ever happened to you."

"That little girl Amanda kissed me on the cheek in grade 1," Other Scott said.

Scott nodded, "Next?"

"In grade 7 I got a girlfriend because I felt left out, but after she kissed me I realised I really had no interest and we called it off," Other Scott recounted.

"Yeah, that happened to me too," Scott pulled a face.

"Woah, woah," Vincent said, "You never told me this!"

"In grade 8 I realised I might have felt something for a little nerdy kid in our class, and that was when I started doubting myself," Other Scott said, ignoring him.

Scott blushed slightly, "That was a confusing time."

"When I was in Grade 11, I accidentally kissed a guy because I tripped and fell right into him and our lips met."

"Seriously?!" Vincent looked from Scott to Other Scott. "You guys tell me nothing!"

Scott gave a nervous laugh, "Y-Yeah, I remember..."

"And that was when I knew for sure," Other Scott said.

"Really?" Scott asked. "I kinda... passed it off for embarrassment."

"Pff," Other Scott rolled his eyes, "Embarrassment making your heart flip and your hands shake."

"That happens!" Scott defended, "That's what happens when you're embarrassed."

Other Scott smirked slightly, narrowing his eyes at Scott, "You fantasized about it for the rest of the year. It was the only way you could get to sleep at night, remembering the feel of his lips on yours. Every time you saw him it played through your mind again and your heart did that same little flip."

Red spread across Scott's face, spreading across his nose and the tips of his ears. "Embarrassment," he whispered.

"Well, anyway," Other Scott continued, "I talked to that kid, but it turned out he was pretty much a homophobe. He spread rumours about me, and I became the subject of the whole school's attention. It wasn't long before my parents found out, after the teachers contacted them, and I was forced to drop out of school in the middle of Grade 12. I got this job, and Vincent signed up too, and..." He smiled a little, "And I fell in love."

Other Vincent walked over to him, smiling too. He turned to Vincent, "You should have seen him when he decided to admit it to me. Shaking from head to toe, couldn't get a single word out, red as a beetroot. It was adorable."

Scott stared at Other Vincent and Other Scott, who were hugging now.

He turned to look at Vincent, who was watching on. Scott could see the longing in his eyes - he looked like he was just about to launch forward and join the hug.

Scott looked down at the ground and let out a shaky sigh, trying not to cry. Other Scott looked really happy. Scott just felt lonely. He was so confused. Who was he supposed to be? Who was he supposed to love? Was he breaking Vincent's heart for no reason?

He looked up when he felt a hand on his shoulder.

Vincent looked down at him, "Don't worry about it, Scott. Take your time and figure it out." He smiled, pulling Scott into their own hug,

 "I'll wait."
