The dreaded day has come. It's Monday.
The day that Jimin will be back at the office. The day you have to face him and be civil with one another, not that you haven't been already.
You have a gut feeling about today, a feeling that you should call in sick and not show up to work. The sad part is that you know you can't do that.
Getting dressed into a gray and red plaid, short-sleeve dress with a white collar, you look over your outfit in the mirror, rubbing the palms of your hands down the dress to flatten the lower part of your dress, letting the tight skirt straighten out. Grabbing your phone, you glance at the time.
Thirty minutes until work.
"I can't be this early..." you state before shaking your head as you pick up your Gucci purse as you start to head towards your front door.
You're purposefully running late for work today. Being early and being around Jimin for longer than you have to be doesn't sound like the best thing for you.
Since finding out about Jimin having a girl in his house, you started making plans to avoid him in the office. 1: don't talk to him unless necessary for work. 2: eat at your desk during lunch. 3: leave work only after Jimin leaves first. 4: don't talk to Jungkook or Jimin for longer than 5 minutes.
Attempting to not get to work too early, you stop by a coffee shop drive-thru.
Twenty minutes until work.
Sighing, you decide to take the long route to work this morning.
Pedestrians cross where there isn't a cross walk, cars honk at one another incessantly, people tailgate your car and the red lights take ages to pass by. Normally, this would be something that would start your day off in a bad way. Normally, you'd be irritated with everyone and would speed to get away from the busy street life.
Today, this only brightens your mood because you know that you're now only 9 minutes early for work with two more red lights to pass before you get into the parking garage.
A smile forms on your face as you feel the relief of not having to have any small talk with Jungkook or Jimin before work. No stress before work. No sadness before work. Just nothing. No emotion, just going into your job to earn money and then going home.
Pulling your car into a parking spot of the garage, you put the car into park and park next to a Mercedes. Sighing to yourself, you glance over and see that the car's tires are just a little over the faded white line on the ground that's supposed to represent a separation of car spaces.
"Dumbass doesn't know how to park." You mumble to yourself before opening your car door, doing your best to not bump the car next to you. Slipping out as carefully as you can, you roll your eyes before shutting the car door and locking your car. Your purse is perched on your lower arm as you hold your arm in a ninety-degree angle.
Flicking your hair over your shoulder, your heels click on the ground as you make your way towards the elevator leading to your office.
Upon reaching the elevator, you press the button to take you to your floor.
6 minutes early.
In the elevator, you ignore the body in the plain black dress and start to take a baby wipe out of your purse and clean your hands with the wipe.
"Good morning, Y/N!" you hear a perky voice near you in the elevator, causing you to pause as you hold the baby wipe in your hands. Slowly turning to the figure, you see Sowon smiling widely at you. You merely blink for a moment before a fake smile spreads across your face as you put your hands back at your sides.
"Good morning." You respond. She nods her head before her eyes start wandering around the metal box.
Have you not been in an elevator before?
Her gaze moves from one corner of the elevator to another corner of the elevator before looking at the slight reflection of the two of you in the elevator doors. She starts fidgeting, her feet moving uncomfortably in her pointy black heels. The heels begin rubbing against the floor of the elevator, causing you to look up at the number on the elevator.
Fourth floor.
Great three more floors with her.
"Um..." you trail off before furrowing your eyebrows at her while she continues to fidget. "You okay?" Sowon pauses her movements, eyes wide as she looks over at you. For a moment, she looks a little fidgety before a soft blush creeps onto her face.
"Oh, me? I'm fine." She states before she looks away from you and back at her hands, which are now the ones fiddling rather than her feet. You arch an eyebrow as you look at her. She eventually caves in and gives you a secretive smile. "Okay, fine. Do you promise not to tell?" she asks as she lowers her voice to a whisper.
You merely look around the elevator that remains empty with an exception to you and Sowon. You slowly nod your head, causing her to eagerly clap her hands together. Her entire body turns to face you before she leans in a little towards you.
Third floor.
"There's a company dinner coming up... and Mr. Jung is only inviting his best employees." She gossips with a cat-like smile on her face. You merely nod your head before tilting your head to the side.
"Okay..." you drag out slowly before furrowing your eyebrows as the smile remains on her face. "Are you invited or something? Is Mr. Jung not announcing it?" she merely shakes her head as the elevator pauses momentarily.
Oh, god. Please don't break down now. This is one of the last people I want to ever be stuck in an elevator with.
"No, no! He's announcing it today, it's not a secret," she states while shaking her head before she glances at the elevator doors. She suddenly begins talking quickly as if she's found the secret fountain of youth or something. "Jimin, you and I are all invited. I bought a new dress to wear for Jimin-ah. It's a sexy material that will make him jealous."
The elevator doors begin to slowly open, causing you to feel a bit of relief flowing through your body.
"Jealous?" you ask before softly letting out a laugh. "Sweetie, Jimin isn't gay... he won't be jealous because you have a nice dress."
"No," she rolls her eyes, gently pushing your shoulder, which causes your smile to drop. She begins talking even more quickly to finish telling you her 'secret' before the person on the other side of the elevator can catch a glimpse of your conversation. "One of the other boys is coming too but I don't know who yet. Whoever it is, I'm going to use them to make Jimin-ah jealous."
Speak of the devil.
The very man she finishes speaking about enters the elevator, causing you to hold your breath. He got a haircut since you saw him with that girl in his house.
He has a new uppercut hairstyle, that reveals more of his defined jawline, causing you to internally ogle at the man.
He gives both of you a soft nod as he smiles at the two of you.
"Ladies, good morning." He states before standing in the middle of the two of you, acting as a physical barrier between the two of you.
"Good morning, oppa." She says eagerly. Jimin stares straight ahead at the elevator doors, not giving her a second glance.
"Good morning." You mumble, causing Jimin's head to turn at the sound of your voice. He gives you a soft smile, silently communicating with his eyes. It's almost as if he's saying, 'I'm glad you're okay with me being in the office again' or 'I'm glad that this isn't awkward.'
You glance over at Sowon, who's biting onto her lower lip while staring at Jimin's physique. You arch an eyebrow.
Maybe she was the one at his place?
The elevator door opens and you can finally escape this hellhole.
Jimin is the first to leave the elevator. You're ready to leave when Sowon grabs your arm and pulls you to her. Jimin's still close enough to the elevator to hear her speaking.
Of course you're being an attention-seeker.
"What do you think about the idea, Y/N?" she whispers eagerly. You don't look at her. You're watching Jimin. His back is facing the two of you but he's standing at the desk only three feet from where the elevator is, talking to a coworker. Finally, you decide to face her.
"I think it's a dumb idea." You bluntly say in your normal voice, which is loud enough for Jimin to hear, causing her facial expression to drop. "If he's been turning you down for months, wearing a pretty dress and having another man touching you won't do anything. If anything, he'll be relieved and think you've found a new guy to flirt with, so don't waste your time." You say before gently removing her hand from your arm, walking towards the office as you make your way towards your desk, leaving her in the elevator.
Arriving at your desk, you set your purse down and toss the baby wipe into the trash can before grabbing a clean one, wiping the spot she touched on your arm.
While you're distracted, Jimin stares at you from a distance, eyebrow arched as he glances back at Sowon, who's shoulders are slumping as she walks towards her desk. His gaze returns to you as he scans your body with his eyes, a small smirk forming on his face.
He musters up the courage to dust off his jacket and make his way towards your desk.
You're currently tossing the dirty baby wipe into the trash before you feel a hand on your shoulder. You widen your eyes as Jimin touches your shoulder while he walks past you to make his way to his desk, mumbling to you as he does.
"Thank you for that." He mumbles before pausing his steps once he's about two feet away from you. "You look nice today." He says while his eyes scan your body once more, licking his lips before he turns on his heel, walking away from you to his desk.
You merely stare at the man as he walks away from you. Your eyebrows are furrowed as you watch him walking away from you. A confused look is plastered on your face.
Don't you have a new fuck buddy now? Why are you still flirting with me?

A reader informed me that I mentioned Vanessa Gullien in a previous chapter and said I would discuss what happened to her, but I forgot to do so! So thank you JustADumbIdiot for reminding me! I appreciate it 💗
If rape triggers you, I'm warning you now.
Ms. Vanessa Gullien was serving in the Army in the US. She went missing and her family was starting to worry about her. It was revealed that she was raped by a boy (yes, I'm saying BOY bc a real man knows what consent is) who was serving in the Army with her. When Vanessa was brave enough to tell the higher up people in the Army about how she was sexually harassed and raped, the boy (who had a girlfriend while he raped her) killed her. His girlfriend (who was present during the murder and let me say something to her: girl..... you, a WOMAN, know how it feels to be sexually harassed and scared of being raped and you're defending the rapist in this situation. I'm disgusted to say the least) was present for the murder and said he hit Vanessa REPEATEDLY with a hammer, killed her, hid her body in a box and his girlfriend HELPED HIM dismember her body. All because he didn't know what boundaries and consent are. To top it off, he's a coward. He committed suicide so he didn't have to live with the guilt.
Long story short: women who are fighting for the US in the military, army, navy, etc. need more protection. There's so many sexual harassment stories happening from places where women are working with people who think this behavior is okay. It needs to be stopped. This is something very important because, as a woman, it's very unfair to see the sexist behavior of men in power positions. Sexual harassment is present in workplaces, on the street, in the military, and so many more places. Women should feel safe walking to their car, at work, and when fighting for their countries.
As of right now, I haven't seen many updates about the BLM movement except for the fact that we lost two very important people that contributed for this movement and have done so many good things. Congressman John Lewis and Reverend C.T. Vivian. Rest in power. Thank you for everything that both of you have done.
I just want to say that I try my best to read all of your comments. I also try responding to as many of you as I can because I love interacting with all of you.
That being said, in order for me to use this platform for good purposes, if you hear any news about BLM, the LGBTQ+ community, and other issues that need to be addressed, please let me know. I love being able to spread critical information regarding these topics.
On a lighter note: Voyeurism hit 200k reads yesterday and I'm so thankful for all of you. You all have impacted my life and year in such a good way and I genuinely appreciate all of you so much. I know I always say this but I love all of you. You all always make my days. I screenshot some of your comments and keep them in a little album on my phone to read whenever I'm feeling down because all of you are just such kind human beings and I'm amazed that you like this story at all. Thank you. I cannot say that enough. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. 🥺💗💗
How are you all doing? I hope you've all been remembering to do some sort of self care activity daily. Even if it's just doing something small, make sure you take care of yourselves!
I love you.
Kim 💗💗💗
