After a chaotic yet delightfully fun morning, my heart started to sink. It was time to drop off Shay and Jimin's little bundle of joy, Thea. The lovebirds had a busy day ahead—taking Jae for a check-up and registering him for his school basketball team. They didn't want to drag Thea along, given her recent recovery from a nasty cold. Understandable, but it meant saying goodbye to the little ray of sunshine who had brought so much joy into my life over the past few hours.

When Shay first mentioned needing help, I practically jumped at the chance to babysit Thea. Her cheeky giggles and mischievous little grin had become the highlight of my week. Plus, Taehyung and I had been talking more seriously about having a baby ourselves, even sneaking in visits to the doctor to prepare for the exciting journey. Spending time with Thea only made my heart long for our own tiny whirlwind of chaos.

A small, delighted squeal pulled me from my thoughts. I glanced down to see Thea mesmerized by a butterfly flitting around the garden. Her little hand reached up, as though she could catch the delicate creature. She had Shay's gorgeous features and Jimin's sparkling eyes, a combination that made her utterly irresistible.

"Jo? Babe? Are you in here?" Taehyung's warm, familiar voice rang through the house, pulling me back to reality.

"In here!" I called out, and within seconds, my handsome husband appeared in the doorway, sporting his signature goofy grin—the one that still made my heart flutter.

"I think it's time to head out. Jimin called; they're heading to Kook's," he said, tilting his head toward the car keys.

"Kook's? Why? Is everything okay?" I asked, instantly concerned.

"No idea. I hope so. Let's get going," he replied with a shrug, already scooping up Thea's tiny bag and heading to load the car.

I took a moment to check my reflection in the mirror—purely out of vanity, of course—and then scooped up Thea. She clung to me like a koala, her tiny arms wrapping around my neck.

After carefully securing her in the car seat, I couldn't resist pressing a kiss to her soft curls. "Let's get you back to your mom, dad, and brother now, sweetheart. But don't forget to come visit Aunt Jo often, okay?" I cooed, earning a delighted giggle from the little one.

As I slid into the passenger seat, I caught Taehyung staring at me with a tender look that made my cheeks flush.

"What?" I asked, leaning closer to him, my voice barely above a whisper.

"Nothing," he said, shaking his head with a small smile.

"Tell me," I pressed, squinting at him suspiciously.

"Really, it's nothing... I'm just admiring you," he admitted, his voice soft. "It's been a hectic day, but you're amazing."

His words made my heart swell. I reached over, running my fingers gently through his hair. "It's been hectic, sure, but it's been fun too," I replied, smiling at him.

Just as we were soaking in the moment, a tiny voice from the backseat piped up: "Buck!"

Taehyung and I froze knowing from where she caught that word from.

"Oh no," I muttered, my eyes wide.

"Shit," Taehyung mouthed, glancing back at Thea looking a bit guilty.

"Oh, come on! You know she picked that up from Jungkook or Yoongi. We didn't teach her bad language," Taehyung defended, as I was already imagining Shay and Jimin's reaction to this.

"And what if she says it to Jimin when we drop her off?" I asked, crossing my arms in frustration.

Taehyung smirked, ever the calm one. "Relax, babe. Kids don't usually repeat things if you don't make a big deal out of it. Plus, it's not like we can shield her from Jeon Jungkook and Min Yoongi forever."

He wasn't wrong, but still! "Just drive. If she says it, you're explaining it to Jimin," I grumbled, shaking my head.

Taehyung chuckled as he shifted gears. "Oh, Jo baby, I know how protective my wife is. You'll save me... eventually," he teased, throwing me a wink.

I couldn't help but laugh as we drove off to Jungkook's place.

----<>----

After the whirlwind of the morning, Taehyung and I finally pulled up to the meeting spot. No sooner had the car come to a complete stop than Jimin appeared, sprinting toward us with the urgency of someone who hadn't seen his child in weeks, not hours.

"Calm down, brother. Your girl is safe and sound," I called out, laughing at his impatience.

Jimin skidded to a halt beside the car, already reaching for little Thea. "I know she was in good hands, but I missed her!" he said dramatically, scooping her up like he'd just rescued her from a dragon's lair.

"Hi, my sweet angel. Did you miss your dadda? Did you?" Jimin cooed, peppering kisses on her chubby cheeks. Thea giggled and clutched his face with her tiny hands, melting all our hearts.

"That's right, dadda missed you too," Jimin murmured, completely smitten. Watching them, I felt a pang of anticipation for the day Taehyung and I might have our own little bundle of joy to smother with love.

Shay approached next, her warm smile lighting up her face. She pulled me into a quick hug. "Thank you so much for watching her. Did my little troublemaker give you a hard time?"

I grinned, but before I could reply, Taehyung chimed in with his trademark sass. "She's your mini version, so what do you think?"

Shay rolled her eyes, playfully punching his arm. "Right. And she's also being raised around you two, so let's not play the blame game here," she quipped, making us laugh.

Taehyung and I exchanged a guilty side glance, silently praying Thea had forgotten the earlier slip-up. Because if Shay ever found out her precious baby had learned a certain four-letter word from our household, we'd never hear the end of it. Despite her laid-back demeanor these days, Shay still had her no-nonsense, protective streak when it came to the kids. It's why Jae had grown into such a kind, well-mannered young man, even if he'd matured far too quickly for my liking.

Speaking of Jae, I realized I hadn't seen him yet. "Where's baby J?" I asked, looking around.

"He wanted to stay back and start practicing," Jimin explained.

"Yeah," Shay added, "we've got about two hours before practice ends to figure out whatever's going on with Kook."

I raised an eyebrow. "Do you think it's one of those days?"

"No idea. I guess we'll find out," Shay replied with a shrug.

Taehyung sighed, already heading toward the door. "Come on, let's just get this over with," he said, giving Jimin a pat on the back.

Shay and I shared a knowing look before following behind. With Jungkook, it was always an adventure. Whether it was his latest existential crisis, a bizarre prank gone wrong, or some wildly ambitious idea he needed to share, there was never a dull moment.

As we walked toward Kook's door, I glanced back at Jimin. He was still carrying Thea, who had nestled her head against his shoulder, her little fingers tangled in his hair. Despite his dramatic antics, you couldn't deny that Jimin was an incredible dad—and it was moments like these that made me love and want the same chaos into our little family.
