"Catra sweetie, are you almost ready"One of my mothers called from down the stairs.

"Um, y-yeah, I'll be down in a minute"I yelled back.

I gave my hair one final brushstroke and knelt back down to the cabinet underneath the sink. I placed the brush neatly back in its place, closed the cabinet, and stood back up again.

I rushed out of the bathroom. Before leaving my room. I grabbed my phone. It seemed like it was necessary to have in this world.

With my phone in hand, I opened the door to my bedroom. The area outside of my room was quite big. I looked around and spotted a staircase leading down to where my new mothers called me from.

I slowly walked down the staircase. I usually never wear shoes so it felt a little weird walking.

"Ah Catra, there you are, come on and sit, breakfast is ready"My mother with blue hair told me.

I nodded and walked towards the large island counter that sat in the kitchen. I took a seat at the chair that lined the counter. This place was nicer than any place I had been too. Not that it had much competition.

I have never been out of the Sciencary in my 17 years of life.

"Go on Catra Eat up, we have to go pick up Cadence and Bow"My mom told me.

My eyes widened at that.

"You mean Bow, like Bow Holmes"I asked.

"Yes, your best friend, the one that's hopelessly in love with Glimmer"My momma commented.

I let out a sigh of relief. That's definitely the Bow I know.

I decided to finally get started on the plate of food in front of me.

It actually looked edible, unlike the slob they give us at the sciencary.

If I get to eat like this everyday, why would I ever want to leave.

I took the utensils that laid upon the sides of my plate. I used my knife to cut the yellow half circle on my plate into fourths.

I slowly took one of the fourths into my mouth.

This was the best thing I've ever tasted.

"Mhmm"I moaned

I swallowed the bite I had taken.

"This is so good,"I complimented.

"Glad you like it Sweetie"My purple haired mom said.

I stuck my fork into another bite of the omelette and stuffed it in my mouth. It was just as heavenly as the last bite.

I looked up at my mom. She was scrolling through her phone and suddenly her eyes widened.

"Hey, Netossa we gotta go, we have an 8:00 meeting"My mom said.

"Well, we should have enough time to get there and drop Catra and her friends off, right?"My momma asked.

"No, there's an accident on 65, there's a lot of traffic,"My mom explained.

"Ok, then, Catra you're gonna have to go pick up Bow and Cadence and drive to school yourself"My momma told me.

"I know you don't like driving yourself, but we really have to go"My mom said.

She walked over to me and placed a pair of keys next to me.

My momma came over to me and each woman beside me gave me a kiss on my temple.

I didn't feel weirded out by it.

It felt kind of nice.

I had never felt that type of motherly love growing up at the sciencary.

Shadow Weaver wasn't exactly the best mother figure.

"We love you sweetie, have a great day"My mom told me.

The two women started out of the kitchen and towards what I believe was the front door.

"You too"I called back.

With that my moms opened the door and disappeared out of sight.

I stuffed the last two pieces of the yellow half circle into my mouth and sprung up from my seat.

My moms said I needed to go pick up Bow and Cadence to go to school.

I had this feeling. The same feeling I got this morning when I looked at my phone. I knew Cadence. He was . . .he was Bow's brother.

So my goal is to figure out what these keys go to, find a way to use it and get to Bow and Cadence, then drive to school.

Then me and Bow can figure out what's happening from there.

"Yeah, that'll work,"I said out loud.

I picked up the keys on the island counter and inspected them. On a keychain there were three keys. Then there was a big solid black object with a few buttons on it. One row of buttons had lock pictures on them. One seemed to be locked and the other one seemed to be open. Above those buttons, there was a button that looked like the back of a storage container. The one next to that one looked the same except it appeared to be open. The last button, on top of the last two had what looked like a horn on it.

I pressed that button and a loud noise came from somewhere close to the house.

I decided to follow the noise, but something told me I was missing something.

It goes on your back. It's . . .it's a pack.

I-I need a backpack.

"Where could it be?"I thought outloud.

I looked around the area I was in. I caught sight of a bag hanging on a rack beside the front door of my house.

With the keys in hand I rushed over to it. It was a small black daybag. It had a golden zipper. It had 2 straps on the side. It looked like they were supposed to go on your arms. I picked the bag up and slid it onto my arms. It felt right, so I wore it like that.

I then took the keys I held and placed them in my jean pocket. I held my phone in my hand.

I couldn't think of anything else I needed so I exited the house.

I closed the door behind me and pulled out my keys. I stuck them into the lock of the door and turned it to the side. I heard a click and retreated the key from inside of the hole.

I turned around only to shield my eyes right after. It was extremely bright outside.

Then It hit me. I was outside. We are never allowed out of the sciencary. I had never felt the sun before. It was pretty cool.

Slowly, my eyes adjusted to the light and I stared at how pretty the outside of our house was.

The grass was perfectly cut and there was a field of flowers running along the sides of the house. I took a step back from the house. It didn't look like what I expected.

It appeared pretty small and cozy when in reality it was pretty big.

I turned around and walked further down the small path away from my house. I clicked the button with the horn on it and the noise came back. I continued to walk towards it.

It didn't lead me that far. Just to a large room on the side of the house. There was a green button on the side of it and a keypad underneath.

I pressed the button and it flashed red.

"Please Enter Passcode"A robotic voice said.

My fingers drew themselves onto the pad and pressed the buttons, 1, 0, 2, and 8.

The button flashed back to the color green and the small room in front of me opened.

The more this door opened the more a black object was revealed.

I had never seen anything like it.

I crept towards the sleek black object. I knew what the object was. It was a car.

I took a hold of the car door handle and gave it a pull. It didn't budge. I looked towards the black item in my hands. I pressed the button with the unlocked lock on it and the car let out a loud beep.

I once again reached for the handle and this time the door opened.

As soon as I looked inside I knew what to do.

I hopped inside of the car.

I sat all of my stuff down onto the seat next to me.

I took one of the keys I had in my hand and placed them in the ignition.

I turned the keys and the car rumbled to life.

"Wow"I mused.

My hands wandered towards the steering wheel in front of me. I held onto it tightly.

Something was telling me to push my foot down, so I did.

The car immediately started to roll backwards.

"Oh my gods"I screamed.
