The time flew by like seconds. Before I knew it, Friday had come. We had been training non-stop all week and I was exhausted. Despite this, I somehow woke up early today. I was woken up by Glimmer's slight snoring. She was snuggled against me. Glimmer was cute when she slept. The way she scrunched her nose up like a little bunny was adorable. Careful not to wake the girl next to me up, I crawled over her and out of bed. I pulled the fluffy blanket over her. She snuggled into the pillow beside her, resuming her snoring.

I tiptoed over to the door. Passing by Adora and Catra's bunk on the way there. We had bunk beds but we never slept apart. It got cold at night so we snuggled up together. Well, At least that's the excuse we used. Catra had her back against Adora's front. Adora's hands were wrapped around Catra's waist and Catra held her arm in place. Those two were always close. Just like Glimmer and I.

I quietly tapped on the cold door twice and it shot open. Now out of earshot from everyone, I walked at a normal pace down the hall towards Brightmoons library. I always went there when I woke up early in the mornings. Just so I could have some time to read.

I tapped on the door of the library using my pointer finger and it opened. I strutted into the library. It was quite small, but it was the perfect size for me.

The shelves were lined with tons of books. I had read all of them at least twice by now. But the series that never ceased to amaze me was definitely the Percy Jackson series. Me and Glimmer read the books all the time together. Just another way we bonded.

I eyed the shelves for the third book of the series, my personal favorite. I spotted the book and pulled it off the oak bookshelf it laid upon.

With the book in hand I walked towards the lounge chair that sat in the middle of the small room. I took the blue blanket off of the chair and plopped down on it. I then laid the blue blanket over my legs, fixing it so my legs were completely covered. I opened the book and started reading it. Humming a tune as I read.

After around 5 minutes of reading, I heard the doors of the library open. A tired Glimmer Stepped through the doors, rubbing her eyes. She trudged over to me.

"Hey Bow"She muttered

"Hey, Glim"I greeted.

"Wanna sit"I offered

She just nodded. When Glimmer was tired, she was like a baby. Soft and cute. She sat down in the chair beside me. I gave her a confused glance.

"Glimmer, What are you doing? There's plenty of space right here"I told her.

I let up the blanket that was on my legs and patted my lap signaling her to come sit with me. She stood up from the chair beside me and sat across my lap. Her pink hair tickled my shoulder. I put my arms around her waist and pulled her closer.

"Are you Reading Percy Jackson" She asked, seemingly more awake.

"Yeah, I wanna take in as much home as possible before we go into another world"I chuckled

"What do you think it's gonna look like?"She wondered.

"Who knows, But I'll be fine cause I have you"I said truthfully.

She lent in and kissed my cheek making a warm feeling flow across them.

"Ugh, just fuck already"A raspy voice said in the door way.

I was so focused on Glimmer I hadn't even noticed the door had been opened.

"Sorry, she woke up cranky this morning"Adora Apologized.

The two girls walked farther into the room.

"Only because you pushed me off the bed with your sleep fighting"Catra Argued.

"Yes, But I said sorry"Adora pouted.

"W. .whatever, it's fine stupid"Catra stuttered.

Catra was a very interesting person. She wasn't big on feelings but living with her all your life you start to learn how to read her. Most of the time she'll call you names. Lots of names, but there's never any mean intention behind them. Well unless you really piss her off.

I watched as the two sat on the miniature couch across from me and Glimmer. Adora sat her head in Catra's lap. Catra retracted her claws and ran her fingers in Adora's long, dirty blonde hair. Adora loved sitting like that. Something about Catra being good at massages.

"So what were you guys thinking about before we so rudely interrupted your love scene?"Catra asked.

"We were just talking about what it would be like in the reality,"Glimmer answered.

"It's gonna be awesome"Adora responded

"I still don't understand the learning part, how are these crystals supposed to test us?"Glimmer asked.

"We'll never know until we go in,"I mentioned.

"I guess you're right Bow" Glimmer said.

"What time do we have to be in the fabrication room again"Adora asked

Glimmer looked around for the clock in the library. She spotted it and took a little time to study it.

"I think Ms.Weaver said 8:00, and it's 6:30, so we should probably get ready now"Glimmer answered.

She hopped off my lap and walked over to where Catra was sitting. She pulled the magicat off the couch and dragged her out of the room and down the hall.

"Come one Bow, Let's go get ready"Adora said, hopping up.

I shimmied my blue jeans up my waist and fastened them. I pulled my orange crop top over my head. When I was little I Always saw Glimmer cutting her shirts in half. I liked the idea a lot, so I tried it out myself. It's practically a lifestyle now.

I walked out of the bathroom stall I was in, to see Adora putting her hair in her signature ponytail.

Once she finished she turned to me.

"Ready to go"She asked

"Ready as I'll ever be"I told her.

Together, we exited the Washroom and walked down the hall towards the fabrication room. When we got there I saw Catra and Glimmer waiting at the door talking to Shadow Weaver.

Bright moon didn't give us many clothing choices. Just basic jeans and a t-shirt for every day of the week, training gear, and a pair of sweatpants and a shirt for pajamas. Because of this we all tried our best to customize our outfits. I cropped all of my shirts. Catra tore the sleeves off of all her shirts. Adora only wore turtlenecks, even in summer. And Glimmer always put glitter on her clothing.

"There you two are, come along, we need to get you all through the portal"Ms. Weaver spoke.

The three women in front of us started into the fabrication room. Well, the first room. The Sciencary was a very secure place but the actual laboratory was even more secure. There were three outer rooms that you had to go through before actually entering the lab the scientists worked in.

Me and Adora ran to catch up with the group that were already halfway through the long hallway of the first security room.

Adora latched onto Catra's side engaging in conversation with her.

I felt Glimmer creep her hand around my arm and give it a squeeze which usually meant she was nervous.

"You okay Glim"I asked her.

"Not really, we're going into a strange fake reality that we know absolutely nothing about"She panicked.

"We'll be fine, we're the Best Friend squad, there's nothing we can't do"I said.

Her lips curled into a smile. She looked up at me

"Thanks Bow"She thanked me.

"No Problem Glim"I told her.

A warm gust of air hit my body, which was unusual around here. I hadn't noticed we had made it past the security rooms and were now standing in front of the laboratory. My eyes widened. In front of us was a door like contraption with a rainbow shine coming from it.

"Wow"Catra said, her eyes were practically sparkling.

We slowly stepped into the lab, simply in awe at the anomaly in the room.

"Is everything prepared?"Shadow Weaver asked one of the scientists near us.

The scientist nodded and walked closer to us with a clipboard in hand.

"We have prepared everything. The participants can go in at any moment now"They reported.

Shadow Weaver turned to us.

"Are you all ready to go in"She asked us.

We all looked at each other and then back at her and gave the woman a nod.

"Okay then, all you have to do is step up to the portal, chant Rose Crystalline 3 times, and then walk through, got it"She asked

"Yep"Adora confirmed for all of us.

"Okay whenever you all are ready"She said.

Catra was the first person to step up but Adora stopped her. The blonde reached for the cat girl's hand and pulled her into a hug. Adora pulled away leaving a confused Catra standing there.

"What was that for Blondie"Catra asked with a quirked eyebrow

Adora reached her hands to the back of her neck and rubbed it.

"J . .just because"Adora stuttered.

"You're such an idiot"Catra chuckled.

Catra lent forward and gave the Blonde a tight hug. She released Adora and gave her a quick peck on the cheek, leaving Adora a blushing mess.

Catra walked up to the portal and stood only a few inches away from it.

I watched her take a deep breath.

"Rose Crystalline"She said

"Rose Crystalline"She spoke

"Rose Crystalline"She said for the final time.

Catra walked through the portal. Her body disappeared into the rainbow static.

Adora was quick to go next. She walked up to the portal.

"Rose Crystalline, Rose Crystalline, Rose Crystalline"She chanted.

She hesitantly stepped through the portal.

I felt a shorter body hug my waist. I grabbed onto glimmer and engulfed her in a hug.

She was next to walk up. She stepped in front of the portal.

"Rose Crystalline, Rose Crystalline, Rose Crystalline"She chanted.

She turned back to me, raised her hand up and waved to me.

"See You Soon Bow"She said.

With that she walked through the portal and her body disappeared.

Last but not least it was my turn. I took a deep breath and walked towards the portal, not stopping until I was inches apart from the rainbow void.

"Rose Crystalline"I chanted

"Rose Crystalline"I chanted

"Rose Crystalline"I chanted

I stepped forward and walked through the portal. My entire body tingled and I felt myself get pulled in.

I closed my eyes and everything went black.
