Chapter 13|The Luxury's Of Target

I'm back.

Enjoy

------------------------------

Bow had learned a lot about his surroundings during his short time in this world. He learned he had a love for the situation comedy, New Girl. He had learned how to braid hair from his sisters, something he never got to do with Glimmer, Catra, or Adora, and found he had a knack for it. He even learned how to take "The perfect selfie", as his sister Olivia called it.

But those were just the good things. There were a few bad things Bow had learned too. Like having to show your work during math class. Or never being last to the dinner table on taco night, which he had to learn the hard way.

Even though those were bad. They couldn't even come close to Mondays.

Back at the sciencary, it was rare to ever feel bored. Especially on Mondays. He was either training with his bestfriends all day, and whenever they did get a break, the boy would be helping the scientists with new experiments.

But what he had learned about Mondays in this reality, is that they were boring as hell. Mermista never had any gossip to spill on Mondays. So there wasn't anything super exciting to look forward to at school. His school never gave anyone homework on Mondays. So he couldn't busy himself with that. Him and his best friends weren't allowed to have sleepovers on school nights other than Fridays. So he couldn't spend physical time with his friends.

There was nothing fun about Mondays. They were just Boring, plain and simple. Which is why, the black haired boy was now sitting on the couch. Hovering over his sibling, Dallas, watching them do this weird thing they called crocheting. It was probably the most interesting thing that had happened all day.

As Bow continued to watch Dallas do their thing, he started to smell something. It was a spicy, yet sweet smell. And Bow was intrigued.

"Uh, Dallas. What's that smell?"Bow asked his little sibling.

"Lance and George are probably cooking,"Dallas said.

"What are they cooking?"Bow spoke.

Dallas shrugged,"I don't know. But you could ask them"

Bow nodded as he moved away from Dallas and off of the couch. The young man made his way out of the family room and trudged into the kitchen of his home. Sure enough, his dads were huddled around the stove. Mixing a big pot of something.

"Dad's"Bow called, grabbing the two men's attention.

George and Lance turned around to face their son.

"Oh, hey Bow. What's up"Lance said.

"I just wanted to know what you guys were cooking,"Bow explained.

"We're just making Chili Bow,"George answered.

"Chili? I've never had Chili before"Bow said.

"What do you mean Bow, We have Chili all the time"Lance spoke.

"Oh, yeah. I knew that"Bow chuckled nervously.

The two men infront of the boy gave him a weird look before turning back to the food in front of them. Just as Bow started to leave the kitchen, he heard a frustrated groan come from George.

"What's wrong hun"Bow heard Lance utter to George.

"I didn't buy the big can of kidney beans. I bought the small can"George explained with a sigh.

"You didn't buy the big can of kidney beans. You know that's the only way we can make a pot of chili big enough for all of us,"Lance scolded.

"I know, I'm sorry. I thought I bought a bigger can,"George apologized.

"It'll be fine. We can go get the bigger can and then finish cooking"Lance said.

"But, we still have stuff on the stove. If we stop stirring the sauce it'll get too thick"George spoke.

"Maybe Cadance, or Fawn can watch over it while we're gone"Lance spoke.

"We are not letting any of our children come anywhere near the stove. Do you remember what happened last time"George said.

"Yes, I remember the family cookout incident. But Cadence and Fawn are our most responsible children"Lance reasoned.

"That they are, but they were also the main cause of the fire,"George said.

"You have a point,"Lance sighed.

"Ok, how about we stay here, and send a couple of the kids to get it"Lance suggested.

"That sounds good to me,"George agreed.

The couple turned back around to their son who had been standing in the kitchen awkwardly.

"Bow, Can you go grab a few of your siblings? Four at most. You can choose who. We just want some of you to run a quick errand for us"George instructed.

"Sure, I can do that,"Bow said as he left the kitchen.

Bow quickly made his way up the stairs. His first stop was his room. Which he shared with his blonde brother, Oliver. When he got to his room he pushed the door open. Oliver was sitting on his bed. Typing on his computer as he usually did.

"Oliver,"Bow spoke.

The blonde boy looked up at his brother.

"Yeah,"He responded.

"Lance and George wanted me to gather a few of us to go somewhere. You wanna come"Bow asked.

"Um, yeah sure,"Oliver answered.

Bow nodded and exited the room. The boys next stop was the room that belonged to Fawn, Dallas and Gray. When he got there, he opened the door. He had been in their room a few times before but the way the rooms looked always surprised Bow. The bedroom was big and divided into three sections. The section on the right was Grays. It was gray and black. Just like the way they dressed. The middle section belonged to Dallas. It was full of every color you could think of. It matched their personality well. Then there was the Fawns section. It was mainly white and doused in every type of flower you could possibly imagine.

Currently, Fawn was sitting on her bed with a small pink flower in hand. She was murmuring things to it. She had a theory that talking to her plants helped them grow. Bow had to listen to a long lecture about it one night at dinner. Gray was sitting at their desk. Tinkering with their black pointe shoes. They were new, Bow remembered Gray being excited about them when Lance surprised them with the shoes a few days earlier.

Bow walked farther into the room before talking.

"Guys,"Bow said, getting the two people's attention.

"Yeah"The two answered,

"Lance and George want a few of us to go somewhere. You guys wanna come"Bow questioned.

Gray shrugged,"Yeah, I need a distraction"

"And I'll come too,"Fawn spoke.

Bow nodded and exited the room. He then went off to the last person he wanted to ask. He walked a little ways from the room he was in until he made it to Olivia and Melans room. He opened their room door. Both sides of the room were pretty similar. Both full of pastel colors and pretty posters.

Melan was on her bed sleeping while Olivia was sitting on her bed talking to someone.

Bow stood at the entrance of the room. Waiting for his big sister to finish her call. After a few more seconds of talking, Olivia noticed Bow at the door and said goodbye to her friend. Taylor. Bow had heard the girl's name a lot but had never gotten a chance to meet her in person.

Once the Blonde girl in the room ended her phone call she turned to her brother.

"Hey Bow, what's up"Olivia said,

"George and Lance want a few of us to come downstairs to go run a quick errand or something like that. You wanna come,"Bow said.

Olivia shrugged.

"Sure, I'll be down in a minute"The blonde said.

Bow nodded once again and left the room. The dark skinned boy then descended back down the stairs to see most of the siblings he had chosen standing by the door. Some with wallets in their hands, others playing on their phones. Bow walked towards his siblings and stood with them.

"Did George or Lance tell you guys where we're going?"He asked them.

Oliver looked up from his phone,"They said we're going to Target to pick up kidney beans"

"Target?"Bow said.

"Yeah, we're gonna go there and probably spend more money than were supposed to"Gray chipped in,

"That sounds . . . . .exciting,"Bow said.

"It is,"Dallas said From behind Bow.

"You're coming too,"Bow said.

"Yeah, I'm the only one who can drive, ''Dallas said, dangling her car keys in front of the boy.

"Anyways, are we ready to head out? ''They said.

"Wait, Olivia's coming. She'll be down soon"Bow mentioned.

"Well, I'm gonna go wait in the car,"Fawn said.

"Same"Gray said.

Dallas and Oliver nodded along with them. All four of them headed out to the car. Just as the siblings disappeared out the door, Olivia trudged out the door and together, Bow and his sister walked out of the door. Their siblings were a little ways ahead of them but were still in sight. Bow and Olivia followed them down the street until they reached Dallas's car. It was a yellow car. It was small, but seemed to have enough space in it to be able to hold the six of them in there.

After a few seconds of loading into the car. The six siblings started on their way to Target.

------------------------------

It didn't take long for the six siblings to start nearing the Target. Bow watched the view out the window as Dallas slowly pulled into a big parking lot in front of a store. He had been to a few small stores in the weeks he had been here. But nothing this big.

Bow continued to peer at his surroundings out the window while Dallas drove into a parking spot a little ways away from the entrance of the Target.

Once the car had completely stopped, everyone inside started to unbuckle their seatbelts. One, by one, the six unloaded out of the car. They closed the doors behind them and started towards the entrance of the target. They walked in silence but stayed close together.

When they got inside, Gray decided to speak up.

"Ok, we all know we'll be in here for a while not looking for the Kidney beans. So who wants to actually go look for them"The black haired child said.

"I can do it,"Bow offered.

"Ok good, I'm gonna go check out the clothing section goodbye"Gray said as they already started shuffling away from the group.

Soon his other siblings followed. Olivia and Oliver wandering off to the makeup section. Dallas wandering off to the arts and crafts section. And Fawn going towards the gardening section.

And that left Bow alone. To find the item they had all come there for. So off he went. He excitedly started moving in the store. Staring in awe at his surroundings. The store was amazing. And it was very much a challenge to stay on task.

But Bow managed. After a long while of attempting to find his way to the section that held the Kidney beans he was supposed to get. He walked down the aisle and examined all the products on the shelves. It went on like this until he was finally able to spot a large can that was labeled to be Kidney Beans. He Pulled the big can and hauled it into his arms. Bow almost dropped it due to its weight, but thankfully the can stayed in his arms.

It took a moment, but Bow had semi-adjusted to the weight of the can. With his task done, he decided to take a look at the different aisles in the store. So off he went. He moved away from the can aisles and walked towards the next aisles. In this aisle there were multiple bottles filled with different liquids. Condiments, that's what the bow thought they were.

Something Else Bow noticed was the familiar backside of someone. Familiar Blond hair hanging out of it's ponytail. They had on a white t-shirt and gray sweatpants on.

"Adora,"Bow called out.

The person in question turned around and was indeed the person Bow thought them to be. Adora appeared with a confused look on her face until she spotted Bow and the expression faltered. Being replaced by a bright smile.

"Hey Bow"Adora spoke, walking away from what she was looking at and towards her friend.

"What are you doing here?"The blonde continued.

"Oh, my dad's are making something called Chili, but they forgot these Kidney Bean things. So me and a few other of my siblings came to get it"Bow answered.

"What about you?"He asked.

"Razz is making these little pies for Entrapta and she sent me to get almond flour, since Entrapta can't eat the regular kind"Adora answered.

The blonde lifted the bag to show she had gotten what she needed.

"And I already got it. But I don't want to go home yet. This place is amazing. I kinda wanna explore,"Adora admitted.

Bow said"That sounds awesome. Wanna go exploring together"

Adora nodded excitedly,"Where do you wanna go first"

"Well, Gray said something about a clothing section. Let's try that"Bow suggested.

"Ok, let's find it,"Adora said.

Together, the two made their way out of the Food section and towards their new destination. When they arrived at the clothing section Gray was long gone, but there was someone else there that caught everyone's eye. Glimmer was in the section. In a pair of fancy silk pajamas. She looked sleepy.

"Glimmer"bow called out

The pink haired girl turned around and smiled when she saw her friends. She did a quick little run over to her friends.

"Hey guys, what are you doing here?"Glimmer questioned.

"Madame Razz wanted me to buy special flour from here,"Adora answered.

"And my dad wanted me to pick up something for dinner tonight. What about you Glimmer. What are you doing here?"Bow spoke

"My mom and dad weren't home yet and Frosta was bored, so we drove around and ended up here. I thought it looked cool so I just wanted to look around,"Glimmer shrugged.

"Well, we were gonna go explore a little more of this place. You wanna tag along"Adora suggested

"Sure"Glimmer responded, "I need to look around for Frosta anyway. I think she said she was heading to the book section. We could explore there"

"Sounds good, let's head over there"Bow said

So the group made their way over to the book section. They searched around for Frosta but she wasn't there. Or at least that's what they thought. Their attention was brought to a slightly annoyed voice. A voice the three would know from anywhere. They quickly walked towards the voice and sure enough it was Catra. She had her hair in a ponytail and was still in the clothing she had worn earlier that day at school. She was being followed around by Frosta and Gray. They seemed to be bothering her and Catra seemed very unhappy with it.

Just in time the brunette turned around to see her friends. She raised a confused eyebrow.

"Oh thank god you guys are here. Take these two back with you,"Catra said. The brunette ushered them back to their siblings.

"Jeez, she seems more grumpy than usual. What did you do, Frosta?"Glimmer questioned.

"I just asked her a few questions,"Frosta shrugged.

"Yeah, a few,"Catra snarked.

"Well how about this. Gray, Frosta, what if you just go hang out with each other until it's time for us to leave"Bow suggested

Gray just shrugged and made their way back to the book section, Frosta followed.

"Catra, we were thinking about checking out the rest of the store before we leave. You wanna tag along"Adora asked.

"Yeah, might as well. My moms aren't ever going to finish shopping. We've been here for three hours already."Catra started

"I know a section we could check out. The toy section. It's amazing there,"Catra said.

"Let's check it out,"Glimmer agreed.

And so they did. They spent almost thirty minutes going around and playing around the store. Eventually everyone had to leave. Adora left first, then Glimmer followed. Then Catra's mothers finally finished shopping so she left. So Bow was left with the rest of his siblings. He paid off the kidney beans with the card from his dad's grave. Then he went around gathering his siblings and they finally got in the car. Soon they arrived home and after a little talking about time management, the whole family was sitting around the table eating Dinner.

And the trip to Target was definitely worth it. Bow thought the chili was delicious.
