(Three healing chambers stand in front of the new and old paladins. Keith lays in one, his hair in a loose ponytail, with Lance in the one beside him, and the girl at the end. A boy with brown tossed hair runs into the crowded room with a tall, beaked green-and-white alien wrapped around his body. Pidge sees them and instantly stands in front of Clover; as if to hide him.)

Matt, trying to see past: What's going on?

Pidge, hugging him: Matt! I'm so glad you're back!

Matt, returning the hug: Yeah, I missed you too!

Slav: Who's in those chambers? You know, they'll have at least 85%-

Pidge: -While you were gone, something came up.

Matt: ...Came up?

(She steps aside.)

Pidge: Clover? Um...Meet your uncle! (She laughs nervously)

Matt, as he turns to face him: What?! Oh my goodness!!

Clover: Uncle? Hi!

Matt: (Internally squealing and hugging him as Slav jumps down) I'm Matt! I've always wanted a niece!

Clover: ...Nephew.

Matt, breaking away: Oh, sorry. That's even better! (To Pidge) Where did you find him?

Pidge: Find him?! I-erm...He's mine and Hunk's. You were away when I was pregnant, then we had to give our children away to the Garrison to keep them safe...so I didn't tell you.

Matt: Oh. Wait-Hunk?!

Pidge: Yeah...(Looking round to him) I admire him in a way. He's kind, he loves food, he's good with technology, he thinks the same way as I do-

Matt, smiling warmly: -I didn't say it was a bad decision. He's cool. Where's Coran and Allura?

Slav: Steering the ship, obviously.

Matt: Right. Who is in the chambers? (Peering over the crowd) Wait-Lance? Keith? What happened? And who's she?

Shiro, after talking to the others: Matt! Good to see you back. (His face drops) ...Slav.

Slav: Shiro!

(Hunk turns to see what the commotion is about.)

Matt, holding his arms out: Hunk!

Hunk: Matt?!

Matt, turning to point at Pidge: Hang on, Clover?!

Allura, walking in with Coran: Matt! I'm glad you got back safe.

Matt, hugging her lightly: Hello, Princess!

Coran: How's the prisoner?

Pidge, pushing up her glasses: All of their breathing levels are normal.

(While Allura is talking with Pidge, Coran suddenly sees the stranger for the first time and realises something about her instantly. The princess looks up to see Coran blocking her view.)

Allura: ...Coran?

Coran, trying to think of an excuse: Erm...Maybe you shouldn't see her yet. She could wake up and attack at any moment! You never know!

Allura, confused: Coran, why are you acting so strange?

(Karma and Scarlett shrug their shoulders at each other)

Allura: Please. Step aside.

Coran, dropping his arms and sighing: Allura-

Allura: -I command you to step aside.

(Coran lowers his head shamefully, and does as she asks. Allura gazes widely at the white onesied-half-breed. She recognises her.)

Allura, laughing: I-I can't believe it. (Face dropping and tearing up) I can't believe it! No...Lotor killed her.

Shiro: Princess?

(Allura turns away and closes her eyes, tears running down her face-not in happiness nor in sadness. Shiro and Coran stand beside her. Lance and Keith's chambers open, and they fall drowsily into each other. Keith props himself up, and pushes Lance away from him so he can stand properly.)

Keith, drowsily: Morning.

Lance, exhaustedly: ...What happened?

Hunk: That creepy girl who flirted with you...also knocked you out.

Lance: Oh! ...Oh. (Seeing her in the chamber) Argh!

Keith: Lance! Calm down! She's asleep.

Shiro: And when she wakes, we'll be ready for her.

(Allura sniffles, and Lance's head whips round.)

Lance: Allura?

Allura, hiding the tears: Oh, Lance! Keith! You're awake! Are you alright?

Keith: Yeah, we're fine...What about you?

Coran: ...It's a long story.

Lance: Matt! I didn't see you there.

Matt: Yeah, just to confirm for everybody, I'M HERE!

(Pidge, Hunk and Clover laugh, but Allura suddenly bursts into tears in flashbacks of Lotor.)

Coran, hugging her: Allura, it's alright. It's alright-she's alright.

Allura, between shuddering breaths: ...I know!

Coran: So why are you sad?

Allura: I'm not ready for it just yet.

(A psshhh of air seeps behind them, making Allura turns and runs to the end chamber. The girl falls with her arm outstretched- but her eyes are barely open.)

Girl: ...Mother?!

Allura, catching her: Shinka. Shinka, wake up, it's me.

Hunk: Shinka?

Pidge: Oh! ...I understand now.

Hunk: That's good, because I don't.

Lance: Me neither...

Shinka, seeing the person holding her properly: Mother? Mother?!

(She slings her arms around her neck, and they both laugh, then cry.)

Coran: We'll leave you two alone, Princess.

(Allura's lips move into a 'thank you', and the doors slide behind the crowd.)

Coran, stopping in the hallway: Would you like me to fill you in?

Lance: Yeah. That would helpful.

Coran, after sighing: Years ago, almost when we first met Lotor-they made out in secret inside the quintessence field.

Lance: EW! Nopenopenopenopenope.

(He awkwardly walks away.)

Keith: ...Just ignore him.

Coran: Time stops there, and they had a child, called Shinka. Lotor took her away before he descended in madness over quintessence. She was known as 'The Warrior' among the Galra, but when Lotor went loco-(he laughs a little)-he supposedly killed her. Turns out...She's been alive all these years.

Hunk: Woah.

Kibra: That's a lot to take in.

Keith: Exactly. Let's give them some space.

Scarlett: Hunk! Do you think you could make lunch?

Clover: Yeah, just food?!

Hunk, smiling and heading towards the kitchen: Sure. I'll see what I can do.

Karma: I don't about you guys, but I'm gonna train.

Kibra: I'll join you.

Keith: And I'll supervise.

(They go their opposite ways)

The Chamber Room

(After a long embrace, they part.)

Allura: Have you been on that planet all these years?

Shinka: Yes.

Allura: I thought...I thought your father killed you, and that I would never see you again.

Shinka, smiling: Well, I'm here. (confused) And no-Father saved me.

Allura: What?

Shinka: He acted crazy to make the Galra Empire lose loyalty in him, so he could spend more time with me. And you. He knew there was no way for you two to be together. He had a battle with Voltron but escaped back onto a Galra ship. When they plotted treason against us, one of them was prepared to straight away kill me, but he took the blow instead.

(Allura gasps, sitting there, utterly speechless. Shinka smiles sadly at her, and their Altean marks glow.)

Shinka, stroking her cheek: Why are they glowing?

Allura: I think they're showing that we know each other's presence.

(They laugh mildly.)

Allura: So...'The Warrior', huh?

Shinka: Yes. I was always winning in battle. Father...Father was very proud of me.

Allura: As am I. (Standing and helping Shinka up) Let's get you in some proper clothes.

Shinka, following her mother outside: Not a dress I hope.

Allura, grinning: ...Maybe.
