"I think someone has the hots for Shiro, huh?" Pidge said, elbowing my arm with a smug smirk on her face.

"W-what? What do you mean by that? I can't have the hots for him! He's our leader and I'm just his co-pilot! Besides, he's not that kind of guy I want! He's more like a brother to me! Haha! I'd rather have someone else." I exclaimed, totally sounding like I was lying and nervously laughed.

"We don't believe you," Lance said, crossing his arms.

"Ok, let's put it this way. If there's a prize for rotten judgment, I guess I've already won that. No man is worth the aggravation. Besides, that's ancient history. Been there, done that." I said, patting Pidge and Lance's shoulders.

"Umm, who'd you think you are kidding?" Pidge said gesturing to all the paladins that were in the room.

"He like earth and heaven to you," Keith said having the same smirk as Pidge

"Yeah, you can try to keep it hidden, but hun, we can see right through you," Lance said wrapping his arm around my shoulders.

"You can't conceal it," Allura said, placing a hand on my shoulder and gave me a reassuring smile.

"We know how you're feeling and who you are thinking of," Coran said, poking my cheek with a cheesy smile on his face.

"Just admit it, you are madly in love with Shiro," Pidge said standing in front of me, making a dramatic pose as if she was going to dramatically faint while Hunk caught her in time before she hit the floor. I removed all the hands and arms off me and got off the couch.

"Nope, no chance. No way. I won't say it!" I said and started walking towards the exit, but Lance grabbed my hand and spun me around then dipped me dramatically.

"Oh come on, Y/n! You swoon, you sigh when he's around." Lance said wiggling his eyebrows and I pushed his face away from me while making him let go of me.

"Why are you denying it, Y/n? Just admit it!" Hunk said, going in front of me and placing his hands on my shoulders.

"Well, it's just too... Cliche. I just won't say I'm in love." I sighed while trying to think of a word and removing his hands off my shoulders. I walked past him and towards the exit.

"Can you at least tell us why you won't admit it?" Coran asked and I stopped walking. 

I sighed in defeat and said over my shoulder, "I thought my heart learned its lesson a long time ago. It just feels so good when you start out and now my head is screaming, 'Get a grip unless you really want to cry your heart out again.'" Everyone looked at each other and Keith got up with a sigh and walked over to me.

"Like we said, Y/n. You shouldn't deny your feelings. I know it would seem weird but we are your partners."

"Keith is right. Some say, who you are is how you're feeling." Allura said.

"Besides, we're not buying it. Just face it like a grown-up and say it, You know that you got it bad." Lance said with his arms crossed. Both Allura and Keith gave Lance a look that told him that what he said wasn't helping.

"Whaaaaat?!"

"No, no, no, I'm not gonna say it. I'm heading to bed," I said stepping out of the room and heading through the hall. Hunk seemed to reach me in time to get in front of me.

"Come one, just give up, give in." He said and pointed towards the small training room in which Shiro was in, lifting weights. A smile came to my face and a bit of pink on my cheeks.

"Aww, Y/n. Just check out the smile. It's a sign that you are in love with him." Lance said, making me look out the window at my reflection. I just rolled my eyes and ripped his hand off my face then continued walking down the hall.

"I won't say that I'm in love!" I said, getting really irritated.

"You know we won't go away until you admit you are in love," Pidge said following me through the hall.

"You're way off base so I won't say it."

"But Y/n-" Keith was about to say something but was cut off

"Just get off my case, guys. I won't say it!" I shouted as I finally reached my room.

"It's okay you are in love. We all have been there at least once in our lives. Just say it, it's okay. We're friends after all, aren't we?" Allura asked, placing her hand on my shoulder again and gave it a small reassuring squeeze. I sighed and turned around. I saw that everyone was waiting for me to say something, with a gleam of hope in their eyes.

"At least out loud, I won't say I'm in love with Shiro. Happy now?" I said with a small smile and everyone's smile got brighter.

"Aww! Y/n!" Coran said his eyes brimming with tears of happiness

"That was so cute." Lance squealed, hugging Keith tightly to control his excitement and happiness. Keith just smiled while patting Lance's back.

"My ship is coming closer!" Pidge squealed jumping up and down while clapping.

"Our Y/n has feelings for our Shiro! It's so beautiful!" Allura said, wiping tears from her eyes

"You have released your inner feelings to us, your friends!" Hunk squealed giving me a bear hug that lifted me off the ground.

"Um... Hunk... I need to... b r e a t h e."

"Oh sorry."

"Heh. Honestly, you guys are more like family to me." I admitted and everyone gasped then gave me a warm and comforting group hug.

"Guys, why aren't I in this group hug?" Shiro's voice made me jump a little and Lance smirked, grabbed Shiro by his arm then pulled him into the group hug, right next to me. Shiro was close, really close to me. His warm, soft cheek was almost touching mine.

But soon, I felt a hand touch my head and pushed my head into Shiro, kissing him on the lips. I saw Lance and Pidge holding both my and Shiro's heads, making us kiss each other. Once Pidge and Lance let go of both of our heads, I turned my head quickly, feeling my cheeks burn up like lava and Shiro turned his head the other direction.

"Look, they're both blushing! How cute!" Lance said and I looked at Shiro who's cheeks were bright pink. I gave both Lance and Pidge a death glare then groaned, "I'll be in my room. Tell me when dinner is ready," then stepped into my room with my door closing behind me. I swore that I would get my revenge on both Lance and Pidge one day.

A few moments passed and I was feeling calm by reading a book Allura recommended me. Soon I heard a light knock on my door and heard a voice behind it.

"Y/n? Can I come in? It's Shiro."

"Y-you can come in," I said, placing my bookmark on my page and closing the book. The door opened showing Shiro scratching the back of his head nervously and stepped into the room.

"Hey, Are you okay? You seemed pretty upset after the... incident." Shiro said sitting on the bed next to me. I sighed and blushed a bit as Shiro's hand rubbed my back, trying to comfort me which was working. It seemed like his hands could work like magic.

"I'm fine. Is dinner ready?" She asked and Shiro laughed.

"Not yet. Hunk is making both a 'Congratulations' cake for something he wouldn't tell me and an 'I'm sorry' dinner just for you. Stress cooking really." He laughed and I giggled with him.

"Aw, poor Hunk. I should stop him before he goes too far." I said feeling bad for Hunk and stood up. He didn't do anything wrong, mostly Lance and Pidge were to blame.

"Yeah. Umm...Actually Y/n." Shiro said, grabbing my hand before I started walking out to stop him.

"Yes, Shiro?" I asked, turning my head towards him. His hand was smooth and warm. It was a nice feeling to hold his hand for the first time.

"I- uh... I originally came here because, uh... I wanted to umm..." I noticed that he was getting really nervous so I placed a hand on his shoulder and gave him a smile.

"What's on your mind, Shiro? You know you can tell me anything." I said slightly blushing while sitting back down next to him and he took a deep breath then looked into my eyes.

"Y/n, can I kiss you again? I just think that the first one was a little sudden and that it should have been more passionate." He said, his face so close to mine which made me shocked and blush uncontrollably.

"I-I mean if you want to, we d-don't have to! If you don't want to, that's fine, I don't want to f-force you if you don't feel the same way." I was too shocked to even speak. Shiro wanted to kiss me?! The man I had a crush on ever since Adam, a good friend of mine who was mostly a brother to me, introduced me to him at the Garrison. He wanted to kiss me. This had to be a dream!

I didn't say anything, I couldn't say anything. My mouth was opened but nothing came out. I was out of breath, my cheeks were on fire and my heart was beating 100 miles a second.

"A-Actually, You had a long day! I'm sure you're very tired. I should just go back a-and check on the paladins!" He stuttered with a shade of pink on his cheeks as he let go of my hand then got off my bed and headed for my door.

"No! Shiro wait!" I said grabbing his hand and he turned his head towards me.

"I-... You may. You can kiss me again because... I-...I love you, Shiro!" I confessed and looked at him to see that he was shocked and his cheek was still bright pink. Shiro walked closer to me, helped me on my feet and wrapped his arms around me lovingly. Then he placed a hand on my cheek and leaned in until his lips touched mine. His lips were warm and smooth. It was perfect. Shiro was perfect. This moment was perfect.

A few seconds passed and we broke the kiss to get air and I stared into his eyes. After letting my mind work again, I realized that Hunk was still cooking up stuff like a maniac.

"W-well, I should, Umm.... I should stop Hunk from whatever he is doing." I stumbled with my words and he just nodded with blush still on his cheeks. We both walked towards the kitchen, holding hands and beaming smiles at each other.
