(Prompt: Four kids are invited to have lunch with a teacher. 

Teacher- Coran 

Students- Shiro, Allura, Keith, Lance)

"I don't even know why I'm going along with this. I don't even get good grades." Keith frowned in the backseat, sitting too close to a tall, lanky Cuban boy with freckles and bright blue eyes. 

"You do get good grades Keith." His older brother, Shiro protested, his muscles rippling as he turned the steering wheel of the small car. 

"Says the guy on the honor roll." Chuckled the boy next to Keith, Lance McClain. 

"But Keith's right, his grades suck. I'm still wondering why Coran chose him." Lance said smirking in Keith's direction. Keith rolled his eyes.

"My math grades and science are higher than yours." He spat.

"Oh let me guess,English too? Cause Mullet head wuvs his books." Lance said mockingly. 

Keith turned beet red, causing Lance to laugh. "Boys." Shiro called, maturity seeping from his coal colored irises, though he was only a few years older than Lance and Keith. 

"Besides, Coran doesn't choose his students based on academic performances, but more so on their character. I am not surprised Keith was chosen."

"Character??" Shiro and Lance asked at the same time. 

"Keith's character is like a match given to a toddler." Lance laughed. "Ka-boom!" He mimicked an explosion. 

"How did Lance get chosen?" Shiro wondered aloud.

Keith laughed dryly, and Allura chuckled as Lance turned red. "Not like that Lance." Shiro said. "Just.."

"How many of these have you been on Ms. Valedictorian- I mean..Allura?" Keith asked, enthusiasm lacking in his voice. 

Allura blushed. "Oh, only a few...five or six somewhat.." 

"Same." Shiro said.

Keith nodded. "Great."

"We're here." Shiro announced, stopping the car.

"Finally." Lance said, jumping out of the car and cracking his back. "I'm so hungry." 

He didn't hesitate to open Allura's door for her, winking as he did so and holding out a hand. She watched him and walked past. He frowned as Keith mimicked him, winking and smiling stupidly at the door.

The house was a cramped brownstone, squished between more townhouses flanking out down the road on either side. They headed to the door.

"Another good Saturday of gaming wasted." Keith grumbled, crossing his arms. 

Shiro knocked, and his fist barely hit the wood when Coran opened it. 

He was a tall thin man, old but oddly flexible and agile. His blue eyes sparkled and his bright orange handlebar mustache twitched. 

"Ah students! Come in!!" He announced in a thick British accent, opening the door, and bowing. 

"After you Princess." Lance said to Allura.

Shiro and Allura walked in like they were right at home, but Lance and Keith couldn't really understand where they were.

Weren't houses supposed to be nice- presentable when company was over?

The three visible areas of the house were clustered with pictures, and antique junk, paper and cups strewn everywhere. Not only that, but the house was just exotic. With its blue and orange paint on the walls and animal shaped couches, and the multitude of posters and paintings on the walls. 

It reminded Lance slightly of his younger cousins bedroom. 

Way too many chocolate wrappers littered the ground as they followed Coran. 

"You think he found the golden ticket yet?" Keith chuckled, nudging Shiro on the arm. Shiro shook his head but laughed. 

The dining area and kitchen were hard to walk in just from the large table that stretched from the dining room wall all the way to the fridge. 

Keith narrowed his eyes as everyone sat down. 

"Banquet feast." Lance said, rubbing his hands together and licking his lips as he looked over the food. 

The table was full with foods ranging from fruit to pizza, and salads to pastries. 

"Welcome to my happy home!!" Coran said smiling.

Keith and Lance glanced at each other warily but Allura grinned. "Glad to be here sir!"
