Keith huffed with annoyance. He made himself a bowl of cereal. Usually he made Shiro some too, but when Shiro sat down at the table, there was nothing for him.

Shiro frowned, "Babe, you all right?"

"Dandy," Keith replied with sarcasm.

Shiro touched Keith's shoulder, but Keith shrugged it away, stubbornly scooting to the other end of the table.

Shiro sighed, standing and walking behind Keith, wrapped his arms around him, "Talk to me."

Keith set his spoon in his bowl, "I hate that you're barely here."

Shiro bit his lip, "Babe, we've already been over thi-"

"You asked, I answered. Go to work."

Shiro sighed, "You're so stubborn."

Keith shrugged. Shiro squeezed him tighter.

"I'll see you tonight?" he asked.

Keith nodded, "When do you work again?"

"After supper."

Keith rolled his eyes, but nodded, already feeling heartsick, "Okay."
