"It's not about who it was, Lance!" Keith cried. "It just wasn't me... and that's what hurts..."

Lance felt tears slip off the line of his jaw and he put his arms out in desperation, "Keith, I just didn't want to hurt you-"

"What the fvck, Lance? How was that not hurting me?" Keith screamed, inching away and towards their apartment door.

"Because I didn't want to use you!!" Lance explained, pleading. "I didn't wanna have sex with you if it didn't mean anything, and I can't keep bothering you at work with my problems and get you written up again so I couldn't talk and... And he's our friend, so I thought maybe it would be easier to solve this mess..."

Keith shook his head and wiped his cheeks, "You're an idiot, Lance." And without a second glance to the shocked Lance behind him, Keith opened the door and left.
