It's not what you think
"Ummmmm.... Keith? Whatcha doin there buddy?" Shiro called, looking in the boy's bedroom with obvious apprehension. Both Keith and Lance were laying awkwardly close on the tiny bed, and was Lance shirtless? Keith visibly paled.
"Shiro! It's not what you think!!" As the man got a closer look at the two boys, he noticed Lance's back was scratched and bruised, gauze strewn across the mattress. He stepped forward and froze at two voices telling him 'no!' frantically. It was at this moment Shiro knew he messed up. A network of lasers lit up around the room, and there was only space on the bed for someone to lay down without touching one of the beams. Shiro hesitantly reached out and put his flesh hand in the path of one, jumping at the shock he was given. He looked at Keith.
"How did Lance get stuck with you and what did you do to piss Pidge off?" He asked, hiding his amusement at the look of terror on the boys' faces by channeling his Fatherly Disappointment™️ voice. Lance spoke up, voice small.
"I broke a rib and Keith was gonna bandage me up so we didn't bother Coran while he was sick...? We sat on the bed and I took my shirt off so Keith could look at the damage and the lasers just started turning on!! Please help us, I'm dying just because of how sweaty Keith is! It's gross!" The boy in question scoffed and rolled his eyes, but made no move to interject, impressing Shiro at how well the two had started to get along.
"I guess I can see what I can do to save you two. After this, though, I'm asking Allura to set up a pod for you, Lance. You need to stop pushing yourself with the gladiator so hard!" Lance nodded and Shiro walked away, waiting until he was out of earshot to start cackling like a maniac.
The next day, all was well within the castle, and Keith's room was de-trapped.
