Charlie tries her best to ignore those around her. From her step-father, to her annoying neighbor, to her far-too-chipper best friend, Charlie can't seem to escape her life.

Peter provides her with a means of escape, provided she keep a terrible secret from him. She doesn't mind. She hates him.
