"I'm fine" you say
"I have to do this on my own"
"I just so, I'm fine"

I watch helplessly as you struggle. I reach out to you. For a second you grab my hand, look me in the eye then let go. You're hurting and all i can do is watch. You say you're fine but i can see the conflict in your eyes.

"Let me help" i say
"I hate to you in pain"
"I love you"

You shake your head determined to fix this on your own. I cry thinking, no, knowing you need help.

"I'm always here. I'll never leave your side" i tell you.

You nod. I frown and watch you as you struggle to stay above the water but you get pulled down. I jump up to pull you back up but I'm held back by an invisible force you put up. I cry, hurting. Knowing you're in pain...
