Twinkle, twinkle broken star

you didn't know life would be this hard.

up above in the sky so high, yet so lonesome you ought to be sad.

with no one to share your worst fears,

as you wipe away your tears.

you are still shining on the outside.

but inside your light has died.

humans have left you to rot,

the wind carrying away your woes.

you shine bright, even when you're sad.

you have no choice but to shine people's paths.

they see your beauty, not your scars.

everything for you is falling apart.

when the day comes you shall be free,

but when darkness falls you shall start to grieve.
