When noon rolled around, Jisung was not facing the TV anymore. Maybe the sappy romance drama didn't interest him any longer, or maybe, he just found Felix too beautiful that he couldn't take his eyes off. The blond on the other hand could barely keep his eyes open, lazy grins leaving his lips whenever a funny scene came up.

A subtle smile remained on Jisung's lips. As he observed the boy's fragile form, he stretched his hand to rest it on Felix's head, giving the blond strands a light ruffle. Felix clearly didn't mind, leaning in response to Jisung's touch like a little kitty. He then yawned like a toddler, the sight making Jisung internally squeal.

"You're sleepy.. Right?"

Turning his attention to Jisung, Felix blinked innocently with heavy eyes. He narrowed his eyes like he's contemplating on what the answer should be, before nodding slowly.

Smiling at this, Jisung brushed the boy's hair away from his face. "Can I wrap you in a blanket like a burrito?"

With a huge grin, Felix shook his head in approval.

The moment Jisung turned Felix into a burrito all snuggled up on the sofa, the blond couldn't resist drifting off to sleep. A soft sigh left Jisung's lips as he turned the TV off. He scanned Felix, both admiring the ethereal beauty and feeling a twist of guilt. It's gonna take a while for this guilt to subside.

Jisung was tired. Very tired. So whatever it was that gave him the energy to stand, laugh with Felix, and even move around was a mystery to him. He was also really hungry. He knew he needed a proper meal, and not just snacks. With quiet but heavy footsteps, Jisung dragged himself to the open kitchen, deciding to make some lunch for himself and Felix.

Placing his hands on the counter, Jisung groaned. He couldn't cook anything besides basic ramen, yet wanted to make something better for the boy asleep. Before he could dwell on his thoughts, the loud ring of his doorbell echoed. Jisung immediately bolted towards the door, panicked and annoyed. Felix is asleep, who the fuck would dare to make noise?

Before the person could possibly push the button again, Jisung swiftly opened the door, sneaked outside and closed it behind him. He was met with Hyunjin, who's hand was hovering over the doorbell.

"Hey." Jisung said, sighing right after.

Hyunjin fumbled, moistening his lips in the process of finding the right words. "Hey.. How are you now..?"

Maybe it was the tiredness kicking in that made Jisung to think real hard for an answer, but before he could speak, Hyunjin interrupted.

"Shit that was a dumb thing to ask- right? Sorry.. I just want you to be okay." Hyunjin said, scratching his nape with one hand.

Jisung chuckled. "Nah it's alright." He reassured, making sure he wasn't loud. "I'm doing fine by the way."

Hyunjin nodded.

"Um.. You look like you wanna say something." Jisung commented, narrowing his eyes suspiciously.

Closing his eyes, Hyunjin sucked in a deep breath. "Look Jisung, I just wanna warn you.." When he saw that Jisung was waiting for him to keep talking, Hyunjin continued, "Please don't get closer to the voiceless boy.."

Jisung knitted his eyebrows, a scowl warping his face. "It's 'Felix' and you can go now." He spat through gritted teeth.

Before Jisung could open the door and go back inside, Hyunjin held onto his wrist. "Listen, I'm just worried.."

Sighing, Jisung gave a lazy nod. "Go on, I'm listening."

"Changbin and Lee Know are real devils.. I don't want you to get hurt, Jisung."

A weak smile appeared on Jisung's lips. "As if Minho hasn't broken me already.. And I don't want Felix to get hurt." Jisung folded his arms over his chest. "See, if I were to get any more hurt than I am right now, it'd be because of letting Felix go. And I can't, at this point, I just can't. I don't plan to either."

They remained in silence for a moment, neither of them saying a word.

Hyunjin released a hopeless sigh. "Aren't you gonna let me in..?" He asked, gesturing towards the door that Jisung held closed.

Seeing that the brunette was reluctant, Hyunjin narrowed his eyes. "I came to hang out.. Because I missed you. Seungmin couldn't come... he's doing our homework."

Jisung hesitated for a while before groaning. He didn't know if this would be a great idea, but he knew he couldn't hide it either.

"Promise me."

At Jisung's words, Hyunjin tilted his head in confusion.

"Promise me you won't freak out. Promise me you'll give me a chance and try to understand.." Jisung rambled, before adding, "And promise me this stays between us."

"Wait what?" The ravenette stood dumbfounded for a second. Feeling Jisung's intense gaze burn him, Hyunjin surrendered with a sigh. "Fine, I promise.. Now what is it?"

Jisung turned the doorknob, slowly opening the door. Before he let Hyunjin in, he held his hand in front, stopping the boy. "Also don't make any noise. I don't trust you with being quiet, but please.." said Jisung, in a much softer voice.

As he moved aside to let Hyunjin in, the latter narrowed his eyes in suspicion and walked inside. Once Jisung lead him to the living room, he held a finger against his lips to remind Hyunjin to be quiet.

Hyunjin nodded and looked around cluelessly, his eyes scanning everywhere, from the neat book shelf to the little pots of succulents on the TV stand. For a split second his brain thought Jisung may have gotten a pet.

But why would he be so discreet about it?

When his gaze traveled to the couch, he froze. He immediately slapped his hand over his mouth to prevent screeching, his eyes popping out at the sight of Felix curled up in the comfort of Jisung's sofa, wrapped in a pastel blanket. Now that he concentrated, subtle snores could be heard from the blond.

With a sigh, Jisung grabbed Hyunjin by the elbow and lead him to the kitchen, the latter allowing himself to get dragged like he wasn't in control of his own body.

Jisung turned to face him. "Look- I don't want you to say anything about this. Just don't comment on it." said the brunette, making sure his whispering was soft enough.

Hyunjin shook his head, still in disbelief. "I.. Dude I don't even know what to say." He ran his fingers through his silk hair. "And I can't believe he actually let his guard down. What the heck? Who would've thought.."

Jisung arched his brows. "You wouldn't have known. None of you befriended him anyway.."

Before Hyunjin could comment further, Jisung continued, "Yeah so that's that. Now please try to understand. I know I've just met him but he still means something to me." As he spoke, he fiddled with the hem of his loose sweater. "I want to learn so much more about him, show him that he matters, protect him, and yeah.. Just, I don't know man."

When Jisung groaned and looked back at Hyunjin, he saw the latter eye him with a smile. He scrunched up his nose. "What you creep?"

Hyunjin chuckled. "You're so different. And that's.. Good. About those two devils.. We can find a way, right?"

Jisung grinned as he gave his friend a nod. "Thank you. And thank you for keeping your words that day."

Hyunjin smiled. "Told ya you can trust me yeah? I'll get going."
