It had been a good few hours since the sun emerged and cast blinding lights through the white laced curtains. It had also been two days since Jisung went to school. He laid in bed, surrounded by the fluffy lilac comforter. His eyes hurt, they hurt so bad thanks to breaking down every now and then.
He wanted to go to school, to see if Felix was okay, but he couldn't find enough energy to bring himself up. He felt empty. Empty and so, so awfully guilty. He knew it wasn't his fault, yet the thoughts haunted him. The thoughts of him befriending the boy his ex boyfriend had been bullying. It made him sick.
Feeling the hurt resurface in his heart, Jisung curled to himself, bringing his knees to his chest. He squeezed his eyes shut. Everything felt pointless. His purpose of moving to Seoul was so he could find happiness with his boyfriend. Instead, he found heartbreak. It made him feel useless.
He couldn't cry, even when he felt like screaming and letting it all out. The tears wouldn't come. It left him feeling worse, a hopeless form of hollowness.
His mind was bombarded by mountains of thoughts, like a noisy ongoing traffic that exploded inside his head. He wondered if Hyunjin kept his words. Was Felix okay?
He wondered if Minho felt anything after what happened. Did he miss Jisung? Did he regret his actions? Did he even love Jisung in the first place? The questions piled in Jisung's throat like rocks, suffocating him, leaving him breathless.
Having had enough, Jisung pushed himself upwards. He felt fatigued, yet he managed to sit upright. The sorrowful silence of his room seemed to match his feelings. After a while, he stretched and stepped off the bed. He didn't feel like doing anything, didn't feel like moving, but he knew he had to.
He groggily walked up to his table by the windowsill. He reached out to push the curtains out of the way, intending to slide his window open. Instead, he noticed something.
Jisung squinted. Somebody paced in front of the apartment, kicking pebbles around while holding onto a bag of some sort. The person wore a black beanie, and a baggy pink turtle neck that looked overly familiar.
As if on cue to prove his suspicions right, the person glanced up at Jisung's window. When his eyes locked with Felix's, Jisung froze.
Seemingly out of nowhere, Jisung felt enough energy to move backwards, then rush out of his room. His heart pounded in his throat as he bolted out of his front door, then almost tripping down the apartment stairs. When he reached the main entrance, a weak smile formed on his lips. Felix stood facing him, his hands covered in the sweater paws that Jisung's very own pullover created, as he gripped onto a bag full of snacks.
Without a word, he approached the boy and enveloped him into a hug. Felix's arms wrapped around Jisung's waist, gladly accepting the embrace. It didn't matter to either of them that they remained that way for a while. No words, just a long, comforting hug.
Suddenly, the weight of all those guilt and wrongness crashed down on Jisung.
"Felix.. I'm sorry, I'm really sorry." Jisung mumbled, his voice muffling into the tight hug.
He moved back slightly, enough to look at Felix. With slightly rosy cheeks, the blond shook his head to either sides. Jisung smiled in relief. If Felix did not hate him, that was enough to put him at ease for now.
.
As he allowed Felix to settle on the sofa, Jisung sat by his side. "Felix."
Felix took off his beanie and messed his hair, then turned to face Jisung. His unkept blond hair added a different touch of cuteness, as if he isn't cute enough. Jisung chuckled.
"Tell me.. Did Hyunjin find you that day?"
Felix nodded.
"Did he say anything mean?"
Felix blinked innocently, before nodding a 'no' this time. Jisung sighed in relief, mentally promising himself to thank Hyunjin later.
Cutting his thoughts off, Felix placed the plastic bag on Jisung's lap. The brunette eyed it curiously, then looked back at Felix. "You brought us snacks..?"
With a small smile, Felix nodded. The adorable action made Jisung break out into a smile too.
.
After deciding to spend their morning watching TV together, as an escape from everything, Jisung flipped through the channels, hoping to find anything interesting. He felt Felix's gaze burn his side profile.
Jisung smirked, his still tired eyes not leaving the TV screen. "Am I that attractive?" He asked playfully as he glanced at Felix.
An immediate blush coated Felix's face. He grinned and looked away. In that moment, Jisung found a reason.
Nothing felt pointless anymore.
