Shaikh Hasina has resigned as the prime minister of Bangladesh.
02.
Khaleda Zia has been bailed out and cleared of all charges.
I think it's giving us a clear signal of our situation. If Shaikh Hasina is a criminal so is Khaleda Zia. What I fear is that we have saved our country from one dictator, to hand it over to another one.
Another issue I would like to address is how the freedom fighters seem to have lost their value in the craze of our new ' freedom fighters '. These freedom fighters house are being destroyed, they are being humiliated. Remember we are standing here because of their sacrifices. A non-cooperation movement against fascism is nowhere as deadly as a war of independence. We can't handle this for 20 days and they indured for nine month. The aftermath, even more painful.
The same goes for Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, many might not like him personally. But, you can't deny his take on the independence war. He might not have went on the field with a rifle, but he was the man who brought the idea of freedom in the first place. My grandfather used to say, it was for Sheikh Shab that we have indured the war, believed that he won't let us down. There have been many politicians before him, in his time but none has ever dared to call a civil war and declare it independent.
Of course he was a man before all, and it's human to err. But the lesson he left behind shall not be demolished. The now China, has come forward to stand on this place because they value Mao Zedong's ideal till date.
The fire incident on the Dhanmondi house no. 32 was purely heinous and later I figured out it was his son, Sheikh Kamal's birthday!
The gen z has marked the height of their patriotism with this movement, perhaps the reason behind is the unhealthy amount of knowledge they have been feed on the freedom fighters. Well, it worked though!
Remember, it's hard to gain freedom, it's even harder to protect this freedom. Now, that law has lost its value, government has fallen. People are going to take advantage of it, that's what history says in bold. People are taking law in there own hand, using this issue to take out their personal garage violently. Religious morals are being attacked greatly.
About the minority attack. They are our people, we are to protect them. I'm so tired of people outside acting as though they are Indian people living in Bangladesh out of desperation. They freaking are not. They are our people, they are Bangladeshis. One of my friend, who came from Hindu community was an active protester in the movement. His cousin was shot in three places during the movement, now if you label it as racism it's up to you. Of course there are some people who are trying to cause this cast difference purely for their own selfish motive, to gain political power destructing people.
It must be handled with an iron hand. Spring always comes after the harsh winter. This nation is ours it's our duty to reform it, protect it. If you ever see any kind of corruption then speak up. The smallest effort you make matters, it matters to you, it matters to the people around you. Maybe we won't be able to see our dream Bangladesh, but the next generation will.
Now are first and foremost step is being alert that the ashes of the past don't try to create a hellfire again. About BNP, a party that has been craving for power for 15 years is no where fit to lead us right now. The moment they steps in power their greed for regaining power will grow, the people and democracy probably won't even linger on the list.
Instead of saying what will happen? what will happen? Freaking do something. We are the one who's going to vote in the election. Only the almighty can tell what's next. All we can do is give our all out in this battle.
I am quite hopeful for the temporary govt under Dr. Yunus. They might be our key to development.
