Protest on Saturday, call for non-cooperation movement from Sunday -Student Movement
Sunday the Anti-Discrimination Students' Movement has announced nationwide demonstration for Saturday (August 3) and indefinite non-cooperation movement from Sunday in protest against killing attacking their peaceful procession.
Asif Mahmud and Rifat Rashid, coordinator and assistant coordinator of the Anti-Discrimination Students' Movement, announced the programme through Facebook posts and video messages at 8:00pm on Friday (August 2).

UNICEF has now confirmed that at least 32 children were killed during July's protests, with many more injured and detained.
At least 32 children have died in the violence surrounding the quota reform movement, the United Nations children's agency UNICEF has confirmed. UNICEF South Asia Regional Director Sanjay Wijesekera said this in a statement published on the organization's website today.
Expressing concern over the death of children, he said, UNICEF has confirmed that at least 32 children were killed during the protests in July. Besides, many children were injured and many were detained.
These deaths of children are a terrible loss. UNICEF condemns all forms of violence.
In a statement, the UNICEF official said that he had just left the country after spending a week in Bangladesh. He is concerned about the impact of recent violence and ongoingunrest in Bangladesh on children.
Sanjay Wijesekera said, 'UNICEF calls for an end to all forms of detention of children based on research on international human rights law, the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, which Bangladesh has signed, and the impact of detention on children. This means that children cannot be arrested or detained because of their presence in any place or because of their previous history, religion and their family's activities or ideology.'
Sanjay Wijesekera said in a statement that he had meetings with the Bangladesh government, UNICEF partners and representatives of organizations working for youth. In these meetings, he emphasized the recognition of children's right to assembly and peaceful assembly in the United Nations Charter on the Rights of the Child.
Wijesekera said that children and youth are the future of Bangladesh.
