After having read Felix's letter over twelve times, the words were now imprinted in Jisung's head, along with a smile that never left his lips for his first four classes. (Even though he received questioning looks, it didn't matter.)
Soon after lunch break, Jisung ruffled through his locker to get his Maths textbook, with very much excitement. Well, not that he was fond of Maths, but rather, of his seat mate. He was, for once, considering double math periods a blessing.
The brunette fled to class, despite him being a good ten minutes early because he knew a certain someone was also just as early.
As he stumbled through the door and into the almost empty classroom, he caught Felix's anticipating gaze, like the blond had been waiting for him. And as he always did, he melted into a smile right away. That overly precious, contagious smile that never failed to make Jisung's heart skip a beat.
With a smirk, Jisung marched to the last row and slid onto the seat, immediately reaching out and giving Felix's neat blond hair a tousle. "Baby, I missed you."
While suppressing the urge to suffocate him in a hug, Jisung simply smiled and watched Felix look down with a grin, and a very obvious blush over his freckles. A few blond strands pointed in different directions after the ruffle.
"Lix." Jisung called out, the blond looking up at him in response.
"Don't you dare be sorry for being you.. Okay?" said Jisung in a much softer tone. As he spoke, he brushed Felix's hair neatly downwards from the mess it had been. He then let his hand slide down to caress Felix's red-tinted cheek. "You're perfect as you are, babe."
Jisung concluded that it was the first class with Felix where he'd been most talkative. Normally, he would throw in occasional words and resort to observing Felix for the rest of the period. Instead today, the brunette had rambled on and on about how Felix's handwriting was 'just as cute as your little cheeks', to how they're almost birthday twins. And with Felix writing down cute responses on the back of his math book, it didn't help either of them to concentrate on class.
Luckily, it was only once or twice that Mr. Seonghwa scolded Jisung for being loud. Or maybe, a few times more than twice, but that hadn't stopped him. As the room was gradually emptied of students rushing out once the bell sounded, Jisung took his time to pack his & Felix's things.
"So earlier today," Jisung started getting off his seat. "Hyunjin and Seungmin said they don't mind if you sit with us for lunch. I couldn't find you at lunch today, so from tomorrow, okay?" As he said so, he watched Felix cutely wear his backpack on both shoulders while dressed in an oversized white shirt, then looked up and nodded.
Cooing at the adorable sight, Jisung dragged Felix closer by grabbing his shirt, then adjusted the garment for him. He re-tucked the hem of Felix's shirt neatly into his denim shorts. The blond simply allowed him to do so whilst silently observing Jisung, who hadn't noticed Felix's eyes on him.
"You have to meet that teacher from before, right?" asked Jisung, as Felix nodded in response. "I'll walk you there since I'm free."
Jisung held out his hand, waiting for Felix to take it. Once he did, they interlocked their fingers and took slow steps out the vacant classroom. What either of them didn't expect, was to be met face to face with Minho right as they reached the doorway.
Jisung instinctively pushed Felix behind him, tightening his grip on the boy's {tiny} hand. It was Jisung's first time seeing Minho after what happened.
"Jisung." said Minho, taking one step forward and not allowing the boys to leave. His voice held a neutral tone, matching the expression on his face if the conflict in his eyes goes unnoticed.
The sound of his name rolling off Minho's tongue made Jisung's breath hitch. He stepped back, with Felix protectively behind him.
Ever so slowly, Jisung felt his blood come to a boil. He gritted his teeth and spat, "Get the fuck away from us."
Minho remained still, his expression unreadable. After a tense moment, he swiftly combed his fingers through his hair and sighed.
"I'm only here to warn you." said Minho, pausing for a while. "Once Changbin gets mad, that'll be the end."
