I Don't Deserve Love ~ Part One
This song is part of Vishal's story about him and Rani ❤
"That's beautiful, Vishal. Rani must have enjoyed herself." Priya said happily. She smiled widely, her eyes crinkling with intensity.
Vishal chuckled. He told Priya the time when him and Rani went to a beautiful place in India. There was a beautiful ocean and many more.
Priya was so interested in Vishal's and Rani's love story after he told her the day Rani left. She knew Vishal and Rani were deeply and madly in love with eachother and she was interested in knowing more. Vishal was right, her and Prem's love was the same as Vishal's and Rani's. So to destroy beautiful love is hurtful.
"She really did enjoy herself. She kept saying it was her favourite place she's been with me." Vishal sighed.
"You must have really loved her so much. She must have really loved you then." Priya said.
"Yes. I really miss her." Vishal sighed sadly looking out of the window. The sun was shining and began slowly setting down. The sky horizon was blue and pink. It was absolutely beautiful.
"I know you do." Priya replied walking over to Vishal and placing a friendly hand on his shoulder. He looked at her hand and smiled at her.
"And you never know, she may come back." Priya said smiling reassuringly.
"You think?" Vishal asked.
"Yes. Whatever is meant to be will always come back. Your love for Rani is too strong to let go of. So there may be a chance of it coming back." Priya told.
"I guess you're right. Thank you Priya." He said.
"Anytime Vishal. What time is it?" She asked.
Vishal looked at the time and said in a surprised tone,
"Wow, it's 7:30. The day went pretty quick." She laughed and smiled sweetly.
"We managed to chat and get work done. Look at us."
"We make quite a team." Vishal said proudly. They both laughed.
"How are you feeling, Priya? Physical and mental wise?" Vishal asked.
"I am actually exhausted because after like a week or something, I've come back to work. Because I've been resting for long, doing work all of a sudden has got me tired." Priya explained.
She was tired indeed because anyone who was in hospital and at home recovering would be tired if they came back to work.
"Priya, why didn't you tell me and I could have made you stop and drop you home?" Vishal asked worried. "I feel like an idiot for making you come back to work." He muttered, running a hand across his face.
"No, it's not your fault. You let me do my work slowly and it was relaxing since we were talking at the same time. It's just even small work gets me exhausted I don't know why." She said.
"I think since you're still recovering, Priya because you faced a very serious injury. It's going to take time for you to be better." He explained calmly.
"You're right. But Vishal, please don't blame yourself. Nothing is your fault. I don't want people to blame themselves for my situation. It's no one else's fault but mine." Priya sighed looking down at the floor. Vishal shook his head and walked over to Priya. He put his index finger on her chin and lifted her head up.
"Hey listen, it's no one's fault that you got hurt. Not even yours Priya. Stop blaming yourself." He told her looking into her eyes. She looked into his brown orbs that seemed so calm.
"I guess you're right." She said. There was a comfortable silence around them.
Priya then put her palms together and then Vishal saw the ring that Prem gave her on her ring finger. He was surprised.
"Ring? Did Prem propose to you or something?" He asked surprised. Priya looked at her ring and then looked at Vishal.
"He already proposed to you? That's amazing. Congratulations." He said happily.
"No Vishal. I wish it was an engagement ring." She told him giggling.
"Hahaha. Maybe some day." Vishal said.
"Maybe. Let's see. Prem is my soul mate." She said happily.
"I know. But what is the ring for?" Vishal asked.
"He just gifted it to me the night of the party. Him and his brothers, along with Rahul, Amar and Anand babu, always gift the girl they love, a ring to thank them for everything. Like the love they give them." Priya explained and stared at her ring.
"Aww that's nice. He's basically marked you his. Prem really does love you alot." Vishal told her and placed a friendly hand on her shoulder.
"Haan, I love him too. But sometimes, I think he is better off without me." She said sadly and she sighed looking up at Vishal.
"Why? Why would you think that, Priya?" He asked raising an eyebrow.
"It's just our relationship that has someone trying to destroy it." She said.
"Rita?" Vishal asked.
"Yes. All I've brought in mine and Prem's relationship is Rita." She said with a cracked voice. She was close to crying. Tears were gathering in the corners of her eyes.
"No. It wasn't you that brought Rita into the picture. Rita decided to butt in to try ruin your relationship with Prem. Priya, don't blame yourself." He told her in a calm and comfortable tone.
Tears fell from Priya's eyes and she sniffed and cried. She started shaking her head.
"No. It is my fault. Everything. I let Rita in our relationship. I'm letting her destroy my relationship with Prem. It's not Prem's fault, it's all me. I should have stopped from the start, but I didn't." She cried, with tears falling from her eyes.
Vishal shook his head. He never understood why Priya blamed herself. None of this was her fault. Over time, whilst Rita was trying to ruin her relationship with Prem, Priya was beginning to believe it was all her fault. It was almost like she was made to believe it was all her fault.
He placed his hand on her wet cheek to make her look up in a friendly gesture. She looked up and he said,
"Hey stop crying. None of this is your fault. It's not you who is letting Rita ruin your relationship. We all know that. Even Prem does. No one is blaming you, Priya. You'll save your relationship with Prem, I know you will. You're a strong girl, Priya."
"If I'm strong, how comes she's made things worse? She attacked me and got men to attack me, Vishal. I'm hopeless." She cried.
"No you're not. She's attacking you, but you've got so much support and love from your family, especially Prem. She has got no one on her side. She hasn't made things tense and bitter between you and Prem. Has she?" He asked.
Priya shook her head.
"This morning Prem told me he still trusted and loved me the same way as he always did. He told me what Rita has done to hurt me was not my fault. He understands why I kept quiet about Rita being in love with him because I was very scared." Priya told him.
"See there you go. Prem loves you so much, Priya. I don't think words can even describe how much he loves you. I have never seen such a beautiful relationship likes yours and Prem's. Honestly, Prem loves you immensly, more than himself." Vishal expressed. He was right. Prem and Priya's relationship was the most beautiful thing on the earth.
"I don't know why I feel so insecure about my relationship. It's just, I can't be happy knowing that someone is out to get me." Priya said weakly.
"Hey, we will all put an end to this. You've got family to help you. Don't keep quiet like Rani did, because look what happened." Vishal said, cupping her cheeks. She smiled. She knew she could trust Vishal. He had this sense of protection and sincerity in his voice. He believed in her's and Prem's relationship.
"You're right. Anyways, what time is it?" She asked wiping her tears.
"It's 7:50. It's nearly dark. Let's get you home." Vishal said to her smiling. Priya nodded and Vishal started getting his stuff ready to go home. Priya grabbed her blue folder and white bag. She put Rani's necklace and her phone in her bag.
She wiped her tears and breathed out.
"Vishal?" She asked. He turned around,
"Yes?" He asked.
"Thank you. For everything." She said.
"Hey it's okay. Priya remember, nothing is your fault. You need to focus on getting better because you're still vulnerable." He explained. She nodded.
"Come on. Let's drop you home." He said and they both walked out.
When they got out of the huge building, it was 8:00. The sky was dark and royal blue. The moon was shining brightly as the two made their way to Vishal's black car.
When Vishal and Priya approached his car, Vishal felt a tap on his shoulder.
"Excuse me?" The person said behind him.
"Yeah?" He said turning around and immediately was met by a punch on the face that made him fall to the floor. He groaned in pain and placed his hand on his bruised cheek.
Priya's heart began racing immediately and her eyes widened in shock.
"Vishal!" She screamed in horror. She looked at the person who punched Vishal and saw the person in a black robe and a black hood. The person looked sinister because their face was covered. Priya's heart began racing more. She was reminded of Rita when she was in the black robe and hood and attacked her in a derelict place when she went to the bakery. She immediately walked back slowly towards Vishal's car, clutching her blue folder and white bag. She was trembling.
But, she had no time to take in what happened. The person in the black robe and hood started kicking Vishal, who groaned in pain.
Suddenly, another man came with a knife in front of Priya. Priya started breathing rapidly as she saw the knife. Her eyes wide. It's sharp edge and glistening silver shining right in front of her eyes. Looking at the knife felt like it was cutting through her, that's how scared and frightened she was. She felt tears trickling down her eyes.
"Vishal!" She screamed as she heard him wince in pain.
"Hey!" The man with the knife shouted which startled Priya. Priya was met with another fright when she was hit on the head, making her fall slowly. She winced at the pain. It hurt like a mallet. What she didn't know was that her head started bleeding. She was then covered with a white cloth to stop her screaming. Her folder had dropped on the floor, but she still had her white bag. Tears were falling from her eyes rapidly.
"Priya!" Vishal screamed. This couldn't be happening. Vishal thought. He had to save Priya. She was scared and vulnerable and these people were just making it worse.
One man lifted Priya up by putting her on his shoulder. Priya screamed Vishal's name. But her mouth was muffled.
They pushed her into the car. Priya was screaming, although it was muffled, it was still heard.
The car reeked with the horrible smell of alcohol, cigarettes and many inhumane items. She wanted to puke. Prem's car smelt like heaven, he always sprayed Priya's favourite scent, strawberries and roses. Vishal's car smelt of mint.
Priya was locked in the car. There was no air since it was suffocating. The man took her white cloth away.
"Where are you taking me!" Priya shouted harshly, tears gritting, eyes dark and tears streaming down rapidly.
"Shut up and sit!" The man in the driver's seat demanded. Priya's heart was beating. She started banging the windows and doors to get out or even for Vishal to hear her.
"Stop it, stupid girl! Sit quietly." Another man demanded.
This started bringing back memories. From the time she was harassed by Rita, Ajay and Vicky on the Karva Chauth shopping, to the kidnapping on Karva Chauth, till the harassment the day after the tablet incident with Ram, to the attack outside the bakery by Rita, the men who attacked her in the party and now this.
Could Priya's life get any worse? This was all getting traumatic. Suddenly, they were driving off to some unknown place, leaving Vishal in pain.
Vishal slowly got up, a hand on his stomach and jaw and heard the car drive away.
"No. No. No. Where are they taking Priya? This can't be happening." Vishal panicked. He had to do something to save Priya. She could be in any sort of danger and how would Priya cope?
His stomach and jaw was aching. He wiped the blood from his jaw. But that could wait. Right now, he had to save Priya. He slowly grabbed Priya's folder.
The car where Priya was in had driven off. Vishal tumbled to his car. He got his car keys to unlock the door and quickly got inside. He ignited the engine and to warm the car up. He placed Priya's folder on the passenger seat. He ran his fingers in his hair slowly.
He didn't know where to begin. Where did they go with Priya? He got his phone and opened the Find My Phone app. He put Priya's contact number in to see if he could use Priya's phone to track her.
When the app was processing Priya's number, he tapped his finger on the steering wheel as he waited in anticipation. His heart was thumping as though it would leap out of his chest. He had no time to lose. He then heard a bleeping noise from his phone, sounding like the app managed to process Priya's number.
"Thank God." Vishal sighed in relief. But when he saw the location, he felt a lump in his throat. The place was known for being such a dangerous and isolated place. It was near a forest area. Priya's life could be in danger if she was there. No one had ever gone there. This was scaring Vishal even more.
But Vishal being scared wasn't the biggest thing. It was Priya. She must be terrified out of her life because she doesn't even know where she's been taken. Her life could be in more danger than it already is. Vishal took a grip on himself. He had to save Priya, so without further delay, he zoomed off to this dangerous place.
Priya was in the car and she was just sobbing. Her heart was thumping. She looked outside the window and she was shocked.
They were driving into some dark and sinister forest. There were many trees and its branches looked like witches' fingers ready to grab Priya. Priya started shivering in fear and her heart started pounding. Tears were falling down her rosy cheeks like a waterfall.
Suddenly, her phone started ringing. She checked who it was. Prem.
Prem🤴❤ calling
Her heart started fluttering. She wanted to hear Prem's calm and loving voice. But how could she? She was with kidnappers.
"Prem." She said quietly and softly so the kidnappers do not hear.
The man next to her saw someone call Priya and snapped,
"Who's calling you?"
"N-no o-ne." She stammered in fear.
"I can see someone calling you! Tell me who it is!" He demanded.
"M-my b-boyfriend." She nervously said. Mentioning Prem made Priya miss him and just want to stay in his arms and cuddle him.
"Well Mr boyfriend isn't here, so you can forget about him and come with us." He shouted. She got startled and started weeping. She wanted this to be over. Why did this have to happen to her?
"P-please just l-let me go." She cried weakly.
"Haha. No can do. Mr boyfriend is left lying down on the ground, bruised." The man cackled and replied. He thought Vishal was Priya's boyfriend.
"No! The man you attacked before was not my boyfriend! He's my boss, Vishal! I work with him in the office!" She shouted and cried.
"Acha! Stop shouting. Shut that mouth!" The man shouted.
She wondered what happened to Vishal. How hurt was he and what was he doing now?
Meanwhile, Vishal was driving faster and faster as the Find My Phone app guided him through the direction of where Priya was.
Beads of sweat were trickling down his forehead as he gripped on to the steering wheel, his knuckles turning white. He gritted his teeth as he accelerated the gas pedal of the car to zoom further.
"I have to find Priya before it's too late. This is absolutely horrible. They better not do anything that hurts Prem's Priya. They better not do anything unimaginable to hurt her. I don't want Prem and Priya's relationship to damage like mine and Rani's. No that won't happen. I won't let that happen." Vishal said to himself and further drove through the mysterious and sinister forest.
Meanwhile at Mamta's Industries Company, things were going quite smoothly. Everyone was working. Ram, Vivek, Sameer, Anand, Rahul, Amar and Anwar were all busy.
But Prem wasn't. He was worried about Priya. He tried calling her a few times to check up on her. But she wasn't picking up.
After the last attempt, he threw his phone on his desk, annoyed, and ran a hand through his styled hair. Amar heard and turned around and saw his best friend.
"Hey, Prem. What's going on?" He walked over beside where Prem was sat on his chair. He put a hand on Prem's shoulder.
"I've just been trying to reach Priya, but she's not picking up my calls. I just wanted to check up on her, see how she's doing. But she isn't picking up." Prem said worryingly, heart thumping.
"Yaar, she's probably busy with work. She does a similar job like you and you know how busy it is." Amar replied.
"But I told her not to do too much because she's still recovering." Prem said.
"Then maybe she's just resting. She'll get back to you. Plus, Vishal is there to look after her." Amar pointed out reassuringly.
Prem slightly rolled his eyes at the mention of Vishal. But Amar was quick to catch this, who raised his eyebrow in concern.
"Prem, did I say something wrong?" He asked. He knew what made Prem roll his eyes.
"No?" Prem replied as a question to play it cool. Amar grabbed Vivek's desk chair and scooted closer to Prem's desk.
"You rolled your eyes as soon as I mentioned Vishal whilst talking about Priya. Why? Has the guy done something to you?" Amar wondered.
"No. It's just.. I don't know where to begin." Prem said, swallowing the lump in his throat.
"Talk to me. I'm here." Amar said calmly. He smiled in reassurance.
"I just don't like Vishal's name being mentioned too much when we're talking about Priya. It just makes me feel...weird, I guess." Prem said.
"Why?" Amar asked.
"Because Priya is mine. That's why, Amar. Priya belongs to me and I love her so much to the core. Mentioning Vishal makes everyone seem to forget that she's my lover." Prem explained looking at Amar. Amar then replied,
"Because of the time Vishal saved Priya's life, everyone, including Priya seems to praise him so much. Making them forget you?" Prem nodded.
"Prem, yaar, stop this jealousy." Amar said kindly and shook his head fondly at his best friend.
"What? I'm not jealous at all." Prem said awkwardly laughing.
"Yaar, you're acting like this because you're jealous of Vishal and how everyone praises him for saving Priya's life. That's completely normal for all lovers." Amar said, reassuring Prem and placing his hand on Prem's hand, where it was on the desk.
"It is?" Prem asked.
"Yes. That's one stage in a relationship and don't worry it's not going to affect you and Priya. If your relationship with Priya is strong, which in fact is, you'll get past it. But Prem, don't be jealous, just because Vishal saved Priya's life." Amar explained. Prem raised his eyebrow, confused.
"Look, I know it's hard seeing another man save the girl you love most from trouble. But, don't get all jealous and weird about Vishal. If anything, you should be grateful that he saved Priya. If he hadn't found Priya in the derelict place lying in her own blood, I'm sure Priya wouldn't be here with us right now. Even the night of the party, if he hadn't threatened the kidnapper guy who had Priya, she wouldn't be here right now." Amar elaborated.
"No I am grateful that Vishal saved my Priya. I truly am." Prem said genuinely.
"Yes I know. But you don't like it when everyone makes Vishal be the hero, Priya's knight in shining armour. You don't like anyone putting Vishal and Priya together. Do you?" Amar explained.
Prem nodded because that is exactly what he was thinking.
"Prem, Vishal will never be Priya's knight in shining armour. I know this. Bhabi and Baiya know this. Your parents know this. We all know this Even Vishal knows this. Vishal knows Priya belongs to you. He knows no one else will have a place in Priya's heart, except you." Amar said. "He's only doing what's right for Priya because he cares about her."
"What if he is caring too much for Priya?" Prem asked.
"No. He has his standards." Amar pointed out in an obvious tone.
"Prem, no one will ever praise Vishal as much as they praise you. Everyone will always praise you for what you do for Priya. Prem, you love her so much. I have never seen a man love a woman as much as you love Priya. Vishal just doesn't want you to lose Priya and he saved her, so nothing happens to her and especially you." Amar explained.
Prem smiled. Amar was right. Vishal just wanted to keep Priya safe in Prem's arms.
"Vishal is not here to separate you and Priya. That's bloody Rita." Amar said and Prem laughed.
"But Vishal saving Priya is not the only thing bugging me, Amar." Prem said.
"What else?" Amar asked.
"Priya praising and talking about Vishal." He said
"When?" He asked.
"I told her this morning when I dropped her off to work to take things slowly and she said that Vishal will tell her to take things slowly. The night of the party and the night in the hospital she kept praising Vishal and it just irked me." Prem told.
"Prem, yaar, Vishal is Priya's boss, not her lover. She loves you so much, like you make her the happiest girl. She loves you so much I can't even describe how much. She's only praising him because he saved her. You're her boyfriend and she will always praise you for what you do for her. You love her so much and that's what keeps her happy and safe. Being a knight in shining armour doesn't mean just saving someone. In the case of you and Priya, just because Vishal saved her life twice, does not make him the ultimate knight in shining armour. If anyone, that is you Prem. You giving her love and happiness is what keeps her safe. Priya knows this and will always be grateful for the love and protection you give her." Amar explained.
Prem smiled. Amar was right. Priya would always see Prem as her knight in shining armour. Priya would never doubt that. He started over thinking for no reason.
"You're right. Thank you Amar. That made me feel better." Prem said.
"Anytime buddy. Listen, I'm here if you ever need to talk." Amar said.
"Yeah. Just please don't tell anyone else about this conversation. Even Priya." Prem said.
"Of course not. I won't say anything. Your secret is safe with me." Amar said. Prem smiled and continued working.
It was 8:30 and the night sky was royal blue. The kidnappers were still driving Priya. She didn't know where they were taking her, but throughout the whole scary journey, she quietly cried her heart out.
During the fast drive, they nearly crashed, causing Priya's seatbelt to cut her neck. It hurt and stung. It was a red scar, but no blood.
They stopped driving suddenly. The engine was switched off. The kidnapper who drove turned around to face Priya and his companion.
"We're here. Get out quickly." He ordered.
"W-where a-re we?" Priya stammered as more tears fell."
"Shut up." The kidnapper next to her grabbed her wrist with force and pain and pulled her out of the car aggressively.
Priya winced at the force and pain of her hand. She nearly tumbled down the floor because of how much pain her head was in. But luckily the grab of the kidnapper kept her balance. She had her white bag around her shoulder.
The man then wrapped his arm around her neck with force, causing her to cry. Her tears flowed down from her rosy and beautiful cheeks.
"Stop crying girl. Shut up." He shouted and the other men just cackled. They walked to a very big, crooked and haunted building. This reminded Priya of the place where she was kidnapped on Karva Chauth. But this building was the most frightening and terrifying one she has ever witnessed. No one had ever been here. There were stories about the deaths of people in this place. There were shattered windows, humongous and creepy trees. Cobwebs on the building.
Her heart was beating fast as if it would leap out of her chest. They led her inside the haunted and sinister house, where she tumbled every step. She clutched her bag tightly. Luckily her phone was in there.
The place smelt just as inhumane as inside their car. Alcohol, cigarettes and other unimaginable items. She wanted to just throw up at that point. Her head was still pounding. The place was dark with a little dimmed light.
The kidnappers got a metal cane and used it to brutally hit her with on her stomach twice. She cried at the pain and put a hand on her stomach. It was the same place where Rita slashed her with a knife. They then pushed her against the wall, where she hurt her back at the impact.
"Oww." She whined and cried. She slid down to the floor and sobbed her heart out. She buried her face in her knees to block everything away.
The four kidnappers walked closer to her, Priya looked up and saw them towering over her. She curled more into a ball and her heart was thumping harder.
"Scared are we?" One of them crouched down in front of her and laughed. His alcoholic breath went against Priya's face as she looked up and she couldn't help but turn her head away in disgust.
"J-just get m-me out of here. P-please." She pleaded and cried.
"We would. But we were told to bring you here." Another kidnapper replied. Priya looked up,
"Who?" She wondered. Her eyes widened.
"Ajay, Vicky and Rita." He stated.
That's when Priya could feel her heart banging. The walls of her heart breaking and building up as anger and fear invaded her body and mind.
"Kya? Why?" She asked harshly, teeth gritting and tears falling down from her beautiful eyes.
"You know why, Priya." Someone familiar said. She heard the harshness and coldness of the tone. She looked ahead and in came her all time love bond breaker, Rita, with her two sidekicks, Vicky, her previous employer, who Vishal had taken over and Ajay, the kidnapper.
"You three? Seriously? Why? What's the deal? Why can't you leave me alone?" She shouted and cried.
"Tie her up to the chair securely and the her mouth and neck tightly till she suffocates. She's annoying me." Rita quietly commanded Ajay and Vicky. They both obeyed and went over to Priya. Priya cowered back but Vicky grabbed her by the arms harshly and twisted them behind her. She cried and winced in pain. Ajay tied her wrists together, covered her mouth with a white cloth and tied a rope around her neck tightly. Priya began moving her head in a scared way when she couldn't breath.
Vicky sat her on a chair where her whole body was tied up. She struggled to get out. Then Ajay moved the cloth away from her mouth.
"I can't leave you alone because I want Prem. Yes I haven't given up on him. Priya, have you actually considered that you're not good enough for Prem? Never was and never will be?" Rita said. Priya cried,
"How? I-if that w-was true, w-why are Prem and I t-together in love?" She struggled to talk because of the tight rope around her neck.
"He's blinded by love. He hasn't seen who you really are. You're a weak, pathetic, stupid and worthless girl. Prem is rich, but you're not rich like him." Rita replied.
"I'm w-working for God's sake, Rita." Priya demanded.
"You will never earn enough money love him!" Rita shouted.
"M-money can't buy l-love, Rita! Prem f-fell in l-love with me b-before I got a job. He's l-loved me before and s-still l-loves me the same way. W-why don't you u-understand that?" Priya demanded and sobbed.
"Well. Easy for you to say. You get everything you want. But I fell in love with Prem first." Rita shouted.
"B-but he doesn't r-reciprocate your f-feelings the way he does to me. He l-loves me. I'm his f-first l-love." Priya cried. She just failed to understand why Rita wouldn't leave her alone.
She showed her ring, bangles and necklace that Prem gave her.
"Look this shows how he loves me. He gave me this ring to thank him for the love I give him." She cried.
"Yeah okay. I'll make sure he stops loving you." Rita said.
"No! No! You can't! I won't let you. He loves me the most. This is more than me not being rich enough to be with Prem, right?" Priya asked harshly while tears fell from her beautiful eyes. Rita replied,
"I just don't think you deserve Prem at all. You're just a wimp, who's weak, pathetic, can't deal with your own problems-" Priya interrupted,
"It's not that I can't deal with my own problems. You're the one that causes problems with me and I happen to have people who love and care for me that are willing to be by my side. Especially Prem." She cried.
"Hahaha whatever. They just have to put up with you because you're a pathetic excuse of a person. Weak, insignificant, worthless and a scar to this beautiful earth. You've been through alot in your relationship with him, why not break it off? I don't know what Prem sees in you. But just know, you don't deserve Prem and you don't deserve love." Rita said harshly right in front of Priya's face.
Priya's heart panged with uneasiness, fear and insecurity. Although Rita was the one that brought trouble and problems in her relationship with Prem, she couldn't help think that maybe Rita was right. Maybe she didnt deserve someone brave and strong as Prem, who can fight his own battles. Ever since her and Prem got together, she's overtime believed that she's the cause of the mess. She brought the mess in the relationship because that's how weak and frightened she was. But she loved Prem so much and nothing would change that, but then again, all she has done is brought problems in their relationship and what if, maybe, Prem would stop loving her?
She started sobbing. Sobbing her heart out. She now started doubting whether she was actually good enough for Prem and whether she deserved love. Maybe she didn't.
"Yes exactly. Cry because you know I'm right. You have done alot of things ever since you and Prem started dating. For example, you took Prem away from me, you got Vicky fired." Rita said.
Priya looked up in tears and Vicky glared at her,
"Oh yeah, you stupid girl. You took my job away and you will regret that you were even born." He threatened. "Be careful. We'll be out to get you." He said.
Rita walked back over to Vicky and Ajay and said,
"I'm off now. You all keep her in here. You know what to do." Rita left the building. All that was heard was Priya's heartfelt cries.
Vishal was almost at the place Priya was captured. As he drove, beads of sweat ran down his forehead. He angrily drove with his bottom lip in between his teeth. He had multiple thoughts running in his head, which consisted of Priya. What could those people possibly do to Priya and will she be okay? Will he reach on time to save her?
After a few minutes, he arrived at the place. He looked at the building and stories about it were right, it was the scariest and most haunted place. Will Priya be okay in there? He could feel his heart beating fast, but he couldn't be scared, especially for Priya's sake because she would be the most terrified.
"Alright. Let's go save Priya." He said taking up courage. He walked in the scary building.
Whilst walking in, he could hear soft and continuous sob. That was definitely Priya. He could hear the sadness and fear in her cries. He could feel himself fuming and raging with anger.
"They better not have done something to hurt her." He muttered furiously.
He walked in faster and saw a dim light on. And then, he heard Priya's soft sobs more clearly.
"Priya!" He shouted. The kidnappers, Vicky, Ajay and the one and only, Priya looked up. Whilst the others could feel themselves getting into trouble, Priya felt safe and happy. At last someone came to save her. Although it wasn't Prem, she was grateful that Vishal found her and that he was okay.
"Sir!" She cried out of happiness. They looked at each other. "You came at last!" She added.
"You think I was going to let you suffer and let your family and especially Prem worry about you." He said as a statement because it was true. He couldn't let Priya's family and especially Prem worry about her because then he would be held accountable.
"Thank you." She cried. He gave her a friendly smile.
"Alright boys. You've caused enough mess. Let's settle this one and for all." Vishal harshly said, rolling up his sleeves.
"Ha. One man against us five men. Try it, you won't-" Ajay cackled but was then interrupted when a fist collided with his cheek, causing him to stumble onto the floor and groan in pain. Vishal had punched him,
"You think you're so smart, don't you? Well, you thought wrong." Vishal said, letting Ajay moan in pain.
Vicky was about attack Vishal from behind, but almost like a sixth sense, Vishal grabbed his fist that was near his face and twisted it with force. Vicky groaned in pain. Vishal turned around and looked at Vicky who struggled to get out of Vishal's hard grip
Vishal's eyes turned dark with anger. He then pressed Vicky's neck with force. Vicky was suffocated and started choking.
"You! Vicky Oberoi! Previous Managing Director of Oberoi and Sons business company. Look at what a filthy person you are! After losing your job you decide to join a gang like this?" Vishal said harshly.
Sweat was running down Vicky's face and he started trembling. He was actually scared of Vishal. Priya couldn't help but smirk at Vicky.
"I-I g-got fired b-because o-of h-her. Priya got me fired." Vicky groaned. Vishal punched him and kicked him in his lower region area twice with power, causing him to growl loudly at the pain. He clutched his crotch and fell near the wall.
"No! Y-you g-got fired because you slapped and attacked me! You said a few hateful words. " Priya demanded.
"Why would you do that? You scoundrel!" Vishal demanded kicking him more.
"Because Rita told me at the time. To hurt Priya emotionally." Vicky said whilst in pain.
"Why? To take Prem away!" Priya shouted.
"Wow! Vicky Oberoi you added fuel to the fire. Why?" Vishal demanded.
"Because Rita would give me money." He growled in pain.
"You were already working for a prestigious company with such a high pay. Why get in her scheme? She wouldn't have paid a penny. You naive piece of crap!" Priya shouted.
"Rita made you join her scheme because she wants to break Priya's relationship with Prem. You were forced to join the scheme. How could you let her ruin Priya's relationship with someone that makes her feel loved, happy and secure?" Vishal asked angrily.
"I don't know." Vicky said.
"Of course you wouldn't. This should teach you!" Vishal said and stomped on his crotch once more with Vicky yelping in pain.
Whilst Ajay and Vicky were in pain, Vishal fought with the other three kidnappers.
What Vishal didn't know was that Rita was here, but she left before he came.
When the last man fell to the ground in pain, all the five guys were on the ground. The rope around Priya's body that tied her onto the chair loosened and at last she was free. She stood up and untied the rope around her neck. Once she took it off, she started coughing so much to make up for the suffocation. She could feel her stomach, wrists, neck, head and just her whole body just ache in pain. She could tears brim in her eyes and she just let them flood. She sobbed out of relief and Vishal heard her heartfelt cry,
"Priya!" He called out to let her know he was there. Priya looked up with teary eyes and she did not think about what she did next.
She ran over to Vishal and fell against his body. She buried her face in his broad (broader than Prem's) chest and just cried because of how scared and frightened she was with what just happened. But she also cried because she was relieved that Vishal saved her. It was the third time he had saved her.
He rubbed her back to comfort her and told her,
"Hey hey. You're safe now. It's all over." Priya lifted her head up and looked at him with tears in her eyes.
"Thank you Vishal for saving me. Thank you." She whispered softly while crying. Vishal placed his hand on her wet cheek and said,
"Your welcome. I couldn't have you in danger and let your family worry. Especially Prem." He smiled. The mention of Prem made images of Prem appear in Priya's mind and she felt herself blush.
"Hai! Hai! She's blushing." He teased. Spending time with Priya's family now made him catch their jokes. She smiled bashfully with tears.
"Are choro. Rahul and Sameer Baiya always say that to me on a day to day basis." She said laughing.
"It's because they know how much you love Prem." He said. Then, she remembered the stuff that Rita said about her not deserving Prem, which haunted her. She could feel tears falling.
"Hey, are you okay?" Vishal asked.
"My whole body hurts. My stomach, head, neck and arms. It's painful." Priya whimpered.
"Hey let's get you in the car and we'll talk through everything." Vishal said and placed his hand on her back in a friendly gesture. They both walked out of the scary building. The night sky was filled with stars and the crescent moon was out.
Priya clutched her bag that she had with her and wrapped her arms around her to keep herself warm. Vishal opened the passenger door and Priya sat down. She buckled her seatbelt and relaxed in there. Vishal came to the driver's seat and put his seatbelt on. He switched on the car, the lights turning on and put the heater on to warm it up. Priya was shivering. She instantly sighed in content when the warm breeze hit her.
"This should make you feel better." He said kindly.
He drove off from the sinister building to a more peaceful place. Once Priya stopped shivering, he turned off the car.
"You okay?" He asked nicely. Priya lifted her head up from the snuggling position she was in against the window and smiled,
"Haan. What time is it?" She asked.
"9:05. But we need to talk." He said.
"Okay. What do you want to talk about?" She asked nervously.
Vishal looked at her and then saw a scar on her neck, it was bright red.
"Hang on. How did you cut your neck?" He asked.
"They were driving me and we went too fast. The seatbelt cut my neck. It stings so much." She said.
"Okay make sure when you get home, you get Preeti and Neha to treat it. Now, when you were captured in there before I came, did anything happen?" He asked softly.
She looked at him knowing she could trust him. He has helped her alot and this was serious.
"Rita came. With Ajay and Vicky." She began.
"No way? Rita? Prem's cousin sister? The one trying to sabotage your relationship with Prem?" Vishal asked shocked.
"Haan." Priya cried. Tears fell from her eyes and she softly sobbed,
"Vishal, I honestly don't know why she's sabotaging my relationship with Prem. She told me I don't deserve Prem because I'm a weak, worthless and pathetic person who can't deal with my own problems. Prem just puts up with me because I'm insignificant and can't deal with my own problems. She reckons he's blinded by love and I'm a scar to the earth. I've brought nothing but problems in the relationship and I can't deal with them. Maybe she's right. She said I should just break things off with Prem. It's for the best. I'm not good enough for him."
Vishal shook his head,
"No Priya. Stop it. You're plenty good enough for Prem and he always shows you that. Your mind and Rita is making you doubt that. You deserve Prem more than anything. Prem doesn't 'put up with you' as if you're a burden. He's there for you because he loves you. He loves you immensely that even Romeo and Juliet's love can't equate to the love between you and Prem. Priya, you're not worthless, weak, insignificant or anything like that. We all know this. I do, Prem does, your sisters and everyone else does. You're such an amazing and wonderful person and Prem is so lucky to have you." Vishal explained to her comfortably.
"But Vishal, I brought troubles in my relationship with Prem." She cried.
"No you didn't. Rita did. She messed with you and you're the one having to suffer and we will put an end to it. You've got to open up to people, especially Prem because that's what's going to make you feel better. You need to trust him and I know you do. You're just doubting yourself and please don't do that. You deserve Prem as much as he deserves you, okay?" Vishal comforted her.
"I don't know Vishal. This is all so scary. If she was in love with Prem since her childhood days, why didn't she tell him then? Why did she wait later?" She said, wiping her tears.
"She's an idiot like that honestly. But hey, I'm sure if she tried telling him from then, Prem wouldn't have reciprocated her feelings. You've got a special place in Prem's heart and no one will ever change that." Vishal explained looking at her. She looked at him and his eyes held nothing but sincerity and trust.
"You think?" She asked.
"I know that for a fact. Now, it's getting late. We should get you home now. You rest and see how the pain eases. It won't be long." Vishal said inserting the key in the car and switching it on.
Priya snuggled up in the seat of the car and closed her eyes. She tried to fall asleep but all of Rita's words played in her head like a broken record. She could feel tears falling as she thought about her words. She had to hide her sobs.
Maybe she wasn't good enough for Prem, Priya thought. All she ever did was bring troubles in the relationship. In the start, she kept it quiet and let Rita mess with her, until she had to spill it to the others. There is no way in hell that Prem trusts and loves her now as much as he used to after keeping Rita's troubles quiet for a long time. She doesn't deserve Prem or love at all.
Her heart panged with hurt and pain. Prem kept her happy and safe. They were eachother's first true love. He showed her the beautiful colours of love by a warm hold of her hand, a safe embrace of a hug, soothing words in her ear and most importantly, sweet and soft kisses with an 'I love you Priya'. All those loving moments played in her head. But, if there was someone to cause trouble and she can't deal with it, then maybe, she wasn't good enough for Prem.
But what if Vishal was right? It's not her fault that her relationship is being sabotaged. There was always a solution to every problem and if she just opened up to Prem, then maybe there will be an end to this. Vishal understands her pain because of his love story with Rani. Vishal believed in Prem and Priya's relationship so she too must have faith. She can't erase those loving moments just yet.
Priya could feel the conflicting thoughts eat her mind and the pain increasing. Her tears flowed more but she didn't dare to let out a sob. The pain kept hitting her like a mallet and for some reason, Priya felt like it was telling her that she wasn't good enough for Prem and that she didn't deserve love at all.
Half an hour later, Priya felt someone shaking her gently and a soft voice saying,
"Hey, Priya. Wake up now. You're home now." Priya stirred softly and sweetly and opened her eyes. She squinted and blinked her eyes to adjust to the brightness of the light. Vishal smiled at her and asked,
"You okay?" She nodded her head and asked,
"What time is it?"
"9:45." He answered.
"Oh god. Everyone was probably wondering why I've come home so late." She gasped.
"You'll tell them what happened. Kidnappers came outside the office and took you. I was punched and they drove you away to some haunted building in a sinister forest. You were captured and Ajay, Vicky and Rita were there. Rita told you you're not good-" Vishal explained but was then interrupted by Priya.
"Vishal. I can't tell them." She said.
"Why not? You came late and they need to know what happened. So you tell them that happened." Vishal explained in such an obvious tone.
"No I can't. I just can't. Things are going to turn from bad to worse." She cried in a pleading tone.
The reason why she didn't want to tell Prem, Sadhana and the others because what if they do something to Rita which may lead to Rita threatening Priya even more. That happened last time when she came back from hospital. When Prem and the others found out that Rita attacked Priya, resulting her to go to hospital, they all decided to kick Rita and Bhagwanti out. Priya told them Rita could do alot more worse things now that she was out of the house, which was true because the night of the party, Priya was threatened and attacked by Rita and even kidnappers. Prem was also hurt by the kidnappers.
"Priya, you don't have to be scared anymore. I saved you. They're probably worried about why you're home so late." He said.
"I can just say that I had alot of work to do which took long." Priya said.
"No you can't because you came back from hospital and I wouldn't let you do alot of work. Seriously Priya, you can't hide things from them. Especially Prem. You even promised to tell him everything that happens to you. Rani hid alot of things from me and look where that's end up. I don't want the same for you and Prem." Vishal said.
"Vishal, please it's my choice. Right now I don't want to say it." She said. She knew he was right but her mind was telling her not to tell the others because of the possible outcomes.
"Then say it when you feel like it." He said.
"I don't know. Okay, thank you for everything Vishal. Goodnight." She said.
"Goodnight then." He said in a slightly annoyed tone. He didn't blame Priya for her decision, she was scared and vulnerable about everything.
You can't force a vulnerable to do something they don't want. That would be like murdering someone and telling them to stop bleeding.
She slowly walked out of the car, grabbing her bag and blue folder. The pain on her head and body was getting worse. The scar on her neck was stinging. She wrapped her arms around her painful and bruised stomach. She struggled to step on the terrace steps that led to the front door.
She turned around and saw Vishal in the car. She smiled and waved at him. He smiled back and waved. Priya turned around to open the door with her keys. Vishal saw her safely get in and he drove off.
Priya entered the house and everything was tidy. Sangeeta, Sadhana and Preeti were coming downstairs and saw Priya.
"Priya!" Preeti said happily and ran up to her little sister to hug her. She engulfed Priya in a soft and gentle hug.
"Preeti Didi." She cried happily. It felt nice to get a hug from her sister. She buried her face in the crook of Preeti's neck. She still felt the pain all over her body. She had to be quiet about it or otherwise the girls would ask.
"Where's my hug, baby sister?" Sadhana cooed and asked Priya. Preeti untangled herself from Priya and held her hand to walk over to Sadhana.
Although Priya was capable of walking herself, everyone couldn't help but treat Priya like a baby during her recovery. Not in a bad way, but after everything she's been going through, everyone felt that she was always the baby of the family. She was beautiful, sweet, cute, innocent and adorable with her beautiful green eyes. She needed safely, protection and reassurance, so she'll know she has all the help she needs.
The love and care was being showered on her by Prem mostly. Everyone equally had a role in Priya's recovery, but Prem had the biggest role. The lover will always give the best care. He would cuddle and rock her to sleep and plant soft kisses on her head to keep her safe from the dangers she has been through. He would always say those three special words 'I love you'. She felt safe and secure in a loving environment. Priya didn't mind being taken care of like a baby.
"Oh Jiji!" Priya said happily hugging her. Sadhana was slightly taller than Priya and she wrapped her arms around Priya. Priya rested her head against Sadhana's chest. She had to be careful because Sadhana was pregnant, although the bump wasn't visible.
"Are you okay?" Sadhana asked nicely.
Priya looked absolutely pale, but Preeti, Sadhana and Sangeeta didn't realise because they were in such happiness and awe of seeing Priya.
"Yeah. How about you?" Priya said cutely and smiling.
"We're good." Sadhana said stroking Priya's beautiful brown hair that was straight.
"How was work, sunshine? You came quite late." Sangeeta said caressing her cheek. Priya had to lie about why she was late. She can't tell them.
"Oh there was alot of work. And Sir and I were just catching up." She said.
"Okay that's fine. Anjali, Neha, Chameli, Rohan, Lalloo are in the kitchen making dinner and we're going to be there with them." Sangeeta said.
"Yeah. Maa, Papa, Uncle and Aunty are there too." Preeti said. Priya smiled.
Sadhana caressed Priya's cheek and said,
"Hey you have a shower and get changed. Come downstairs for dinner. The boys will be back soon." Sadhana said.
"And we know you're looking forward to seeing a certain someone." Sangeeta teased. She was hinting Prem and that made Priya blush and her two sisters laugh.
"Hai hai! She's blushing." Preeti teased.
"Stop it you two. Okay Priya, go upstairs and freshen up. We'll be downstairs. Prem Baiya and the others will be back. We're going to have dinner then have a movie night." Sadhana said kindly.
"Really? What film are we going to watch?" Priya asked cutely and excitedly.
"Raja." Sangeeta and Preeti said happily. Madhuri Dixit's and Sanjay Kapoor's film Raja finally released and they were all excited to watch it. The girls were fans of Madhuri Dixit.
That meant Priya didn't have to tell them what happened today.
"Okay Jiji, I'll go freshen up now." Priya said. The other three girls smiled and Sadhana replied,
"Okay." She kissed her younger sister's forehead and let her go upstairs. Preeti, Sadhana and Sangeeta went to the kitchen.
Whilst all that was taking place, Vishal drove somewhere away from Prem's house. He couldn't help but think how Priya could keep such a dangerous thing quiet. He couldn't let that happen. He felt like the others needed to know for Priya's safety. Priya's life was at risk and she needed to open up to people. Rani had the same problem and this led to their relationship to end on a dramatic note. He didn't want the same thing to happen to Prem and Priya's relationship which was the most beautiful thing ever.
He realised that Priya was slowly closing the doors of her mind and heart, replacing it with thick walls to prevent her from reaching out for help. That was something Rani did, which lead to Rani leaving Vishal.
He had to do something. He needed to let the others know. If Priya wasn't going to do it, he had to because he saw everything. This was the right thing.
Vishal decided that he will tell Prem, Sadhana, Vivek, Preeti, Sameer, Simran, Rohan, Rahul, Anjali, Amar, Neha, Sangeeta, Anand, Anwar, Lalloo, Chameli and the parents what happened to Priya today.
