The Number One Princess:

Based on World is Mine. Requested by Angela_Jace2008

Miku's POV:

Finally I saw him. He had kept me waiting for HOURS on end.

He came running up, a little out of breath. "Hey Miku!"

"You, are very late." I lifted my chin and stared directly into his eyes.

"Yeah sorry about that. I forgot to set an alarm for when I was supposed to leave. And my phone died, otherwise I would have called you." He smiled sheepishly.

"You think that's a good excuse?" I sniffed. My phone was dead too, if it wasn't I would have texted him a million times and then probably called off the date.

"No. There isn't any good excuse at all. I just wanted to explain so you would understand."

"Well I'm hungry. I've been waiting for you for hours." I grumbled.

"Alright, well I'll take you out to eat then as my apology." Len Kagamine smiled.

I nodded and allowed him to take my hand and lead me to a nearby restaurant in the town square.

I had always had a crush on Len. The popular, athletic, and EXTREMELY good looking boy...who just HAPPENED to be one of my friend's brother.

We entered the restaurant where Len asked for a table for two. We were led to our table and took our seats.

"How about I get you a dessert?" He asked.

I smiled. "Yes, I think I'll have strawberry shortcake, a smoothie, and maybe some rice pudding."

He blinked. "Hey Miku, don't you think that's a little much?"

"No. I don't. Why should I?" I sniffed again.

"Um...well I can't really afford all that..." Len sighed.

"Very well. I'll stick with the rice pudding." I mumbled. Is it really so much to ask? Is it really so hard to treat me the way he should?

Len talked quite a bit during our snack. At one point he laughed and told me to stop fishing for compliments. I was NOT fishing for compliments. I was trying to be polite and simply HINT at how he should be treating me.

This was our third "date" and he still didn't get it. All I want is for him to treat me as he should. Like a princess!

As we walked out of the restaurant a couple passed by. The man had his arm around the girl and told her she was his princess. He then proceeded to buy her exactly what I had wanted at the restaurant.

"Len why are you such a cheapskate?" I whined.

"I'm not a cheapskate, you just want more than I can give you." He smirked.

"You're so dramatic!" I stomped my foot. "It's not like I asked you to give me the whole world!"

"I wouldn't put it past you." He smiled. "Come on Miku! Just let it go okay?" He came closer and tried to put his arm around me but I shoved him back.

He stumbled backwards, tripped, and hit his head on the fountain.

He laid there for a few minutes. Not moving. Then he gasped suddenly and jumped up. He looked at me and blinked a few times. "You know what Miku? You need to stop being such a prissy brat. You can't always get what you want." Then he walked off.

Fine then! I stormed off in the opposite direction.

How dare he!? He DARED to call me "prissy" and a "brat"!? No wonder I'm his first girlfriend if THIS is how he treats people. If he really loved me as he so claimed not too long ago, than he would have gotten me what I wanted. He would be willing to risk anything for me.

Then I hear a loud beep and turn my head to see a speeding car hurtling towards me.

WHAT!? Oh no! I was walking across the road!

Just as the car was about to hit me I felt a hand grab my arm and pull me violently out of the way. I started to cry. I had almost just DIED!

"Oh stop crying Miku." Len mumbled as I clutched him.

I paused and looked up at his face. He had a large band aid across his forehead from where he hit his head.

"I...I almost...the car...it...so fast..." I quivered.

"Sh, come on." Len helped me to the park where he pried me off of him and sat me down on a bench.

"You are such an idiot sometimes." He muttered.

"I am NOT!" I cried recovering from my shock, and jumping up. Only to feel a stabbing pain in my left ankle. The world started to tilt as I fell.

Len caught me and sat me back down. "Yeah you are." He ran his hand through his hair and sighed. "Okay uh...why don't you call one of your parents to come and pick you up."

Now he thought he could tell me what to do!?

"My phone...is dead." I stated angrily.

"Well I didn't know that." Len retorted. "Alright, my house is just around the corner...so I'll bring you there and we can call your parents."

"I can't WALK." I reminded him.

"Yeah I know." He crossed over to me and put an arm around my neck.

No! I am NOT letting Len carry me home.

"H...how about we just get a taxi or something?" I suggested.

"That makes literally no sense when my house is just around the corner. Also I don't have any money on me." Len sighed and picked me up bridal style.

I felt the heat rising in my face. This...this IDIOT thinks he can just SWEEP me off my feet and everything will be better again!?

No! I was FURIOUS with him...I mean...maybe I was being selfish. Maybe I HAD been asking for too much. It isn't really fair. And if I wished for him to treat me like his princess...shouldn't I treat him like a prince and not a servant?

I could see that Len was blushing a little as well...and I could feel his heart beating wildly.

"I...I'm...sorry..." I struggled to get the words out, but they came out. "I...know...I know I was asking for too much..."

Len smiled sheepishly. "I forgive you, I could have been nicer about it."

I smiled back at him and giggled a little. I probably would have screamed at him if he had ever asked ME for anything, so him being a little short with me wasn't THAT big of a deal.

Without thinking, I snuck my arms up and around Len's neck. Then I gave him a quick little kiss.

He stared at me in surprise, but his mouth was turned up a little at the corners. So I knew he had liked it.

By the time we reached his house we were both flushed so much that we looked like we had serious sunburns.

Len placed me on one of the couches inside. "So uh...m...maybe we DON'T call your parents just yet..." He stammered. "Want a redo? Let me make up for that terrible date?"

I smiled. "We can do whatever YOU want to do." I think I may have flinched a little as I said those words but Len's whole face brightened so it was worth it.

It might take me a little while to get used to this but maybe it WOULD all be worth it in the end.

"Alright my princess, how about we just rent a movie?" Len sat down and nudged me.

Yup. It was worth it.

End.
