This is a very fast paced song. What is it about? I will tell you, even though it may not be what the creator of the song intended.

The song is most probably about depression. The person suffering it, VY2 in this case, wants to tell his very close friend, but is unable to because he doesn't want to cause unecessary stress or worry. He hopes that there will be someone to go to that he can relate to.

VY1 acts as the source of his depression. She is telling him to keep quiet and keep fooling himself with the fact that no one will know. She is most probably getting annoyed at his thoughts about this pain that he is experiencing and is trying to get him to shut up about it and just deal with it.

In one of the bridges of the song, he is mentioning that he can make pain into pleasure by using his brain. This shows that he is trying to avoid the pain so maybe no one notices. But, this is impossible and the pain will always come back, as it is in human nature to hurt. This represents the line "Trying to avoid God- it can't be done".

VY1 appears again, knowing that if his pain gets any worse, then he will seek help. She then states that her duty will be concluded, meaning that he might stop thinking about the pain, as it would have gone away. But, when VY2 forgets about his experience and gets ahead of himself, she will come back to make him remember.

This can be thought as maybe he gets to full of himself and forgts about what he experienced that he doesn't listen to people that are having the same problem as he had experienced. Coming back is probably a form of guilt, as he would remember his pain and feel remorse as he didn't help another who is going through this.

When she finally disappears, he can't think of the pain he felt anymore.

But, yet, the pain is still there, as there was another cause to it. He probably loves someone, as the pain is in his chest.

Maybe, the song is about depression and heartbreak, as he could've spotted a former lover with someone else, and he feels pain that he had been cheated on.

And so, the song ends with the beginning lines:

"What is hurting me, why does it hurt? Why is it hurting me to hurt?"

A/N: I love this song! And i dont usually like romantic type of songs and stuff, but i was actually reading the subs of the song and thought "There could be two causes, which could be why it hurts him so badly." Anyways, feel free to request any song you want :)
