"CHRIS PUT THE SHOE DOWN!" felix screamed, running through the hallways of their shared home.

chan exasperatedly plopped onto the couch, tossing the shoe that had previously been in his hand onto the floor. "i give up." he panted, "you win."

felix huffed in triumph as he sat down on the cushy seat beside his hyung. "why don't you just tell her man?" he asked concerned, turning to face chris.

the elder didn't make eye contact, he just threw his head back in defeat. "i cant put our career in danger like that. what if she tells someone? what if we break up and we get exposed? what if the COMPANY finds out, lix?"

felix sighed, "dude those are a bunch of what-ifs. you know what she's like, she'd never put us in danger like that. you deserve happiness, man."

"thanks, lix. it's just not happening." chan sighed. he stood up and walked off into his bedroom, slamming the door with a loud thud.

"bye mom! bye dad! i love you!!" jaehyun hummed as she waved goodbye to her parents. the taxi pulled away indicating she had once again completed a successful visit with her parents, she didn't get too many of those.

jae opened her phone to instagram, switching from her fan account to her personal. hesitantly, she typed in a username and hit follow. a few seconds later, a notification popped on her screen.

jae let out a breathy chuckle. suddenly, beck's number flashed on the screen.

"babyy~" jae hummed in a sarcastic tone, hitting the answer button.

"how'd it go babes?" beck asked, ignoring jae's previous pet name.

"it was okay, they still don't know about dance."

"jae!" beck exclaimed, causing jae to flinch back from her phone. "you need to."

the brunette whined, "i knowww~ just not now."

"anyways.." beck continued, "do you wanna go out tonight? i think it'd be good! lucas suggested it, he wants to bring connor."

"connor? no. tell him we're taking a rain check." jaehyun scoffed as she fiddled with the chain on her necklace.

"but jaeee!" the younger girl pleaded.

she finally caved, "fine! fine, but i'm not dealing with lucas's mindless flirting again."

"we don't have to go if you don't wanna, it's okay!"

"no no, let's go beck. it's dark outside though, when do they wanna meet? i'll just reroute my taxi if you wanna meet now." jaehyun sighed, tapping the taxi driver on the shoulder.

"meet us at the modern?"

"sounds good. i'll be there in about..15?"

"alright, see ya babes."

as soon as the call ended, jaehyun threw herself back into the seat. " yo can you please take me to modern on west 53rd"

chris felt the heat rise to his cheeks. in the middle of the movie, he abruptly stood up and walked out of the room onto the porch.

"what the hell is his problem?" minho asked, looking over at felix.

the younger boy could barely stifle his laughter,
"he's just jealous, he'll be fine."

"jealous of what?" seungmin chimed in.

"the girl that he totally doesn't have a crush on is hanging out with some guys." felix stated, still focusing his attention on the movie. "and one has a crush on her."

"HA! now he has to tell her..right?" jisung hesitantly asked.

felix sighed, getting up from his chair. "trust me, i'm trying. i gotta go talk to him, pause the movie."

"if you're not back in 10 minutes i'm resuming it!" hyunjin called after the boy.

"hey, chris." felix smiled as he stepped onto the porch. "what's up?"

chris was sitting on a chair, looking out into the sky."nothing?"

"what's going on with you?" the younger asked, sitting beside him.

"i just needed some air." the elder shifted his face into a small smile.

"are you sure?." lix asked him, placing a hand on his shoulder.

chris took a deep breath in, "yeah. i just gonna think for a bit."

"okay, chan." he smiled. "the movie is on if you wanna come back inside."

when felix left, chan roughly ran his fingers through his hair and let out a loud exhale. he was interrupted by a notification on his phone.
