i tiredly smiled, answering the phone. "hello?" i yawned.

"hm, someone is tired." he chuckled from the other line.

i rolled my eyes, chuckling. "shh i'm vulneRABLE!"

"i cant believe you didn't tell me you were graduating, OR that you were valedictorian." chris fake cried.

"sorrry! i just don't get too excited for this kinda stuff." i pouted, shifting onto my side. my eyes felt heavy as i struggled to keep them open.

"hmm..whatever. how are you?"

" 'm sleepy." i yawned once again, wrapping my body into the blankets. "how are you?"

he sighed contently, "i'm okay. i'm sitting in my room, trying to finish up this work."

"would you like me to let you go?"

"no no! i've been dying to talk to you all day. pleease~" he whined into the phone.

i couldn't help but smile. "okay okay!"

after a few minutes of talking, chris began to do some work. he was still trying to converse with me, but he kept slipping away, humming the beat he was trying to compose. i felt so content listening to his beautiful hums turn to murmurs of insomnia. my eyes fluttered shut as i slowly drifted off into sleep.

i hummed the words to insomnia mindlessly, sending out some emails and finishing up some tracks. i totally forgot about jae being on the line as i snapped back into reality.

"hey, jae? sorry i got a little carried away."

there was no response.

"jaehyun~?" i asked again.

this time i heard it, her heavy breathing insinuating that she had fallen fast asleep. i smiled happily, closing my eyes and just listening to her. she sounded so peaceful, so at rest.

"hey hyung?" minho asked, knocking at my door. "we're gonna go get some food, wanna come?"

i nodded, "yeah sure, i'll be there in a second."

when minho left, i sighed, picking up my phone.

"hey jae, i know you cant hear me..but i have to go, okay princess? i hope everything goes well tomorrow, i believe in you. sweet dreams~" i smiled lightly, tapping the end call button.
