jae took a deep breath in at the sudden jerk of the plane. she slammed her eyes shut, trying to think about anything else.

gotta go! plane is taking off. later xx

"ah shit.." she murmured, throwing her head back.

quickly, she shuffled for her airpods but was interrupted by a flight attendant.

"miss?" she asked, "what would you like to drink?"

jae paused for a moment and pulled out her korean ID, "soju."

the attendant nodded and poured her two shots. jae smiled, thanking the dark haired woman before downing the bitter alcohol.

"only one." beck spoke, her eyes glued on her phone.

"w-what?"

the younger girl's eyes grew serious as she made eye contact with her best friend. "only-" beck grabbed the other shot from jae's table, throwing it down her throat as well, "-one."

the two couldn't help but giggle. beck grabbed jae's hand with hers, intertwining their fingers as the plane began takeoff.
"you're fine, just remember that."

jae's head leaned against her best friend's shoulder. after about 10 minutes beck spoke up "do you like him, jae?" but there was no answer. jae was fast asleep, content in her own little world
