The Next Day After The Girls' Night

— 3rd POV

"Classes won't start till after lunch break," Haruto said as he stared closely at the white chess pieces.

Then he looked over at the Animal Spirit and chuckled. "I'm not gonna cheat, Soya," he replied back to the white cat.

Meow…

"Hm? Someone's at the door,you say?" Haruto stood up from his chair and walked over to the door of his room.

Then he opened it and saw a pale-looking Park Soobin.

"Hyung? What happened to you?" the younger Vampire asked as he watched his older friend stumbled inside.

Soobin shook his head slowly and whispered, "My head… it hurts…"

Then just when Haruto was going to ask why and how it happened, Soobin had fainted to the floor.

"HYUNG!"

"I can't study with you getting in my head, Kiera," Bora spoke up after sighing.

Her roommate had stopped humming to her favorite song and innocently gave Bora a smile. "Sorry, unnie. Still trying to get used to the Gift," Kiera replied back.

"No, it's okay. Don't apologize," Bora said as she got off her bed and picked her textbooks up. Then she placed them inside her shoulder bag and added in, "I'm going to the library."

"Okay! See you later, Bora unnie!"

"See ya!"

Then Bora left the room and the girls' dormitory.

"Keni!" A male's voice called out from behind.

The 18-year-old Guardian, who just returned from the clinic after taking some painkillers for her new migraine, turned around and saw Jaxon running down the corridor.

"Sunbae-nim. What's up?" Keni asked with a small smile.

"This is a dare, okay…" the 19-year-old spoke up and before Keni could say something, he suddenly picked her up and pulled her over his shoulder.

"I– SHIN JAXON! PUT ME DOWN!" Keni hollered out in surprise while moving around.

"I'M SORRY, KENI!" Jaxon hollered back while he started to run back down the corridor to where he was first at.

Then he put Keni down and before she could hit him with her "The Art of War" textbook, the Vampire ordered the tree branch above him to pull him up into the air.

"GET DOWN HERE, JAXON!" Keni shouted, totally pissed off at what just happened.

Then Jaxon replied back, "No can do, Keni!"

"Why not?" the young Guardian-In-Training had asked.

Then someone answered her from behind.

"Because I told him not to."

Soobin woke up in a jolt when he felt something lay itself on his stomach.

He raised his head a little upwards and saw a white cat with sky blue eyes staring back at him. Then it purred and Haruto showed up.

"Soobin hyung! You're still alive!" he exclaimed in relief.

Then the white cat disappeared and appeared on Haruto's desk where it moved a black chess piece to the white chess piece's territory.

"Um, how did that cat just appear and disappeared?" Soobin asked while sitting up on his bed.

"Oh, you mean Soya?" Haruto asked with a happy smile. "I actually found him outside the Greenhouse, and it's an Animal Spirit! I think it belongs to one of the Guardians, but it wouldn't tell me."

Soobin's migraine from earlier had subsided already, but he felt like he was gonna get a second round with the new mystery on Haruto's desk.

"You… It… You two can understand  each other?" he asked while looking at the two.

Haruto shook his head. "Not exactly. But it's nice to have a new companion while you went to the clinic."

Then he furrowed his eyebrows and asked, "But, hyung… you went to the clinic earlier, so why did you still have a headache? Did you hit your head on your way back here?"

Soobin sighed. "No, it's nothing like that, Ruto."

"Then what happened to you? You looked so pale earlier. More than the usual."

"I just bumped into someone who got me all stressed out. That's all."

Then it was quiet for a minute.

Up until Haruto spoke up.

"Was it Keni noona?"

Bora noticed that the library was already full, so she decided to go to Jaehyuck's shed. She knew that the 5th Year Guardians has their Training class in the morning from 8 to 11, which is enough time for her to study for her upcoming History test.

She entered the shed through the front door this time and noticed that there is an empty desk by one of the windows near the armchair. Bora then wondered if Jaehyuck had placed it there. She also saw the broken wooden chair all fixed up. So she took it and placed it by the empty desk. Before sitting down, she checked it first by placing her right hand on its seat and giving it pressure to see if it's well fixed. Once Bora thought that it's okay to use, she sat on the wooden chair and took her textbooks out of her shoulder bag. Then she started studying again.

A few hours later, the door to the shed opened and in came a tired and sweaty looking Jaehyuck.

The 20-year-old Guardian placed his sports bag down to the floor near the door and had noticed that it was warm inside the shed. Then he looked around and saw a sleeping Bora by the once empty desk that he borrowed from Professor Hwang's classroom yesterday afternoon. He had a feeling that the young New Blood would come back to the shed, but he wasn't expecting for her to come back the next day.

He softly looked at her before walking over to the desk and wooden chair that he fixed last night. Then he carefully placed his left arm under her knees and his right arm around her shoulders. In less than a second, he was able to pick her up in a bridal style and before he placed her down on the armchair, he stared at her sleeping figure and smiled to himself.

"You look cute when you're asleep," he whispered and then placed her down on the armchair.

Keni turned around and saw her Vampire wearing his civilian clothes.

"Uh, Jisung, why are you not in your uniform?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.

Then Jisung smiled and said, "Because I've got a date.

Keni grinned and teased "Oooh? Who's the unlucky girl?"

"You." Jisung smirked while his Guardian
frown in confusion.

"Dude, what? Why me?"

"Because I want you to forget what happened with Park yesterday."
