The Week After Song Yeji Was Killed

" Her body was burnt... "

" Do you think maybe... Soobin killed her? "

" Maybe... After all, he is the only Vampire here who has the Fire Element. "

" He is also the Keeper of the Fire Element, right– "

"Do you mind?" a cold voice cuts in the small gossip talk that the two 2nd Year Guardians were having by themselves besides the lockers.

The two younger students had then turned their heads to the side and their eyes went wide when they saw Park Soobin, aka The Cold Prince.

"S-Sunbaenim!" One stuttered as the other bowed in fear, both hoping that the older Vampire of Royal Blood didn't hear them.

Soobin stared at the two and sighed. "You're blocking my locker."

Then the two gulped their nonexistent saliva and moved to the side. Soobin then walked to his locker, but before opening it, he spoke up with a poisonous tone laced in his voice.

"Next time, if you're going to talk about me, make sure to not do it in front of my locker."

The two gasped and apologized right away before running off.

The young Vampire boy sighed again and opened his locker. He was just about to take his History book out of the top shelf, but he saw a letter.

He cautiously took it out and examined it before ripping its side. He pulled out the folded paper inside and unfolded it.

" I can't believe your goody-two-shoes of a Guardian is now dead! Now, finally, we can be together! xoxo, Ruby. "

Soobin's heart clenched when he finished reading the letter.

He couldn't believe that she had the nerve to say things like that.

"Just, please... Leave me alone," he whispered by himself.

Soobin closed his locker and threw the letter away in a trash bin, but unfortunately, it didn't land inside. Instead, it sat on the floor beside the trash bin.

Lee Keni saw what Soobin threw away and that it didn't shoot inside the trash bin. She was about to call out to him but saw that he was no longer in the corridor. She pouted and decided to throw the piece of crumbled paper the right way.

But when picking it up, she saw the content of the letter and gasped in shock.

"Who is this Ruby?" she wondered to herself as she folded the once crumpled piece of paper into her hoodie's pocket.

Then she heard it again.

The voice of...

"YAH! KENI, HURRY UP!" one of her Guardian classmates shouted, pulling her back into reality.

Keni shook her head gently and smiled at her classmate. "I'll be there in a second."

Then the voice disappeared, making Keni feel disappointed that she wasn't able to know and maybe help the owner of the voice.

But classes first, before the academy's new mystery!

She thought without knowing that there were two pairs of eyes watching her.
