It is a bright sunny day at Auradon Prep as everyone celebrates Family Day—a day when families come to the school to see their children's progress and enjoy the day together. These families are mostly the kings and queens of the different kingdoms of the United States of Auradon.

After enduring a troubled time with the Queen of Mean incident and now with the barrier finally down, they are celebrating this day with great joy and harmony. The parents of the VKs are also present to join in and enjoy this day with their children.

Now, on with the story...

All the royals, the VKs, the AKs, and some of the parents of the VKs are seated at tables arranged in the garden of Castle Beast. Former Queen Belle decided they would celebrate this day at their castle, and former King Adam agreed to this decision. While they were having lunch, a sudden memory flashed through Ben's mind. It was a memory of his childhood days, the days he had happily spent with his family and friends.

Suddenly, Ben thought of something. "How was the childhood of the VKs?" Without any further hesitation, he asked his fiancée Mal and her friends about their childhood on the Isle of the Lost.

All the tables went silent as everyone started paying attention to the villain kids—well, the former villain kids. Carlos was practically shaking because of his childhood memories with his mother, the notorious and crazy Cruella De Vil. After taking a deep breath, Mal told them, "You don't want to know." A simple but firm reply.

But being curious friends and Auradonian parents, all of them insisted the VKs share their childhood memories.

So Mal and the other Core Four had a silent conversation among themselves, deciding whether to tell the truth or not. Uma and her trio didn't have any problems regarding this question because their childhood was not that wretched. Uma's childhood was tough, but she always reminded herself that she was strong. So she didn't have any problem sharing her memories with others. It was bad, but not unlike the Core Four, it was still better because they were the descendants of the four most evil villains in the world. Especially Mal, being the daughter of the mistress of all evil, who is now a lizard courtesy of Mal.

After a few minutes, they reluctantly agreed to share their pasts with the Auradonians.
