The Compartment Argument
"Ron, Harry! You're here!"
I run across the platform to my very best friends Ron Weasley, and Harry Potter. I pull them both into a bear hug. I wave to a smiling Mrs. Weasley and a giddy Mr. Weasley.
"Let's go get our compartment quickly." I squeal excitedly as I release them from my grasp.
Harry and Ron race each other to the Hogwarts Express, a magnificent locomotor that takes us to Hogwart's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
As I walked into the train, I heard loud fighting.
"Malfoy, this is our compartment! It has been for the past five years!" I hear Ron's voice echo from a few compartments down.
"You stuttering blokes don't have anything," Draco Malfoy, our enemy, yells
"Ron, Harry, what is going on?" I ask as I walk to the voices
"Finally someone with a bunch of common sense. Hey, mudblood, tell your friends to get out of MY compartment," Malfoy points his chin out at me and looks down.
"Alright break it up, break it up, the train ought to be leavin' soon an' then we're off to Hogwarts," The old trolley witch rolls to a stop at our quarreling bunch. "You there, girl, sit with him. You two, that other compartment is empty, move yourselves. Snap to it." She points to Malfoy and me in one compartment and Ron and Harry in another.
"Malfoy, don't try anything or I will bloody kill you." Ron shoots daggers at Malfoy who only smirks at me. Harry looks at me before pulling Ron into the other compartment.
I reluctantly walk into the compartment with Malfoy, who sits across from me and sit down with my copy of Hogwarts: A History. I hear snickering so I look up from my book to see Malfoy watching me.
"What do you want Malfoy? I don't have time for games right now. I'm studying for the N.E.W.T's. Leave me alone." I mutter as I look back down to my book.
"Hermione," He whispers
I look up once more as I begin to shoot daggers at Malfoy for annoying me but instead, I meet sad, steely grey eyes.
"Draco," I whisper back as something in my chest pulls as he leans over and sits next to me.
"Hermione Granger," he whispers into my ear as goosebumps crawl onto my skin.
Draco Malfoy called me by my real name and not mudblood, races through my mind.
"I like you and care about you and I don't want to let you go," Draco edges closer to me.
"Draco, you know I am with Ron. But maybe this could work. I will give you one chance Draco. Don't tell Ron," I whisper as my heart flutters
Draco leans into me and kisses my forehead.
Just then Ron walks in and Draco and I scramble apart.
"Hermione, Harry and I were wondering if you wanted to sit with us. We feel bad leaving you alone with this bloke," He eyes Draco suspiciously.
"I'm fine Ron. I was planning on reading the whole time anyway," I motion to the book in my lap.
"Are you sure you don't want a better companion than him?" Ron warily looks from Draco to me.
"Ron, I am fine so for the last time, leave." I raise my voice and push him out as I slam the sliding door in his face. I see the hurt in his eyes as he walks away and my heart aches for him back. But part of me wants Draco as well. "Sorry about him," I motion to the door.
"It's fine. So where were we?" Draco raises his eyebrows with his signature Draco Malfoy smirk. I edge closer to him and he takes my book from me and places it on the seat in front of him.
I lean into his face and my brown eyes lock with sad, cloud grey eyes. His hands wrap around my waist as he pulls me in and I close my eyes, feeling my lips on his and knowing that things were going to change forever after this.

Okay, guys! I want you to be completely honest. What did you think about the first chapter? I finished it in ten minutes because I had other work to do. - kay
