Evan Chapin. The first person Casey had fallen in love with. He was her rock, her world... Casey believed he was her soulmate. Anytime she faced an issue, big or small, he was always the first one to know about it. Life was tough for her sometimes, having to deal with the stress of track and school and also having to get through toxic family drama, but Evan always knew how to make it better.
Izzie Taylor. This one is a tiny bit different. Casey doesn't know her as well as she knows Evan, of course. But there's just something about Izzie. Her eyes, her lips... Izzie made things better for Casey the way Evan did, but the difference is that Casey felt right around her. Choosing between them was the hardest decision she ever made but as her mother had always said, "The heart wants what the heart wants."
And Casey's heart wants Izzie.
"What're you doing here...?" She asked slowly, unable to believe that he was standing in front of her. "I just... I had to come see you in person. But it looks like you're busy," He said, looking her up and down as water dripped from her body.
"Evan we... we broke up..." Casey mumbled and he looked down, making her heart break. "I know I just-"
Evan stopped speaking as he looked up to behind Casey. She turned around and saw Izzie standing there, wrapped in a towel and shivering. She looked at Evan in confusion and somewhat fear.
"Is this Izzie?" Evan asked and Casey nodded. "Um yeah, we were just... taking a dip in the pool..." She explained as Izzie handed her a towel. "Hi Evan, would you like to come in?" She asked and he sighed.
"No... no I just... I had to talk to Casey..." He said, looking away from Izzie. "Oh... okay, I'll give you two some privacy. I'll go shower at Quinn's," She said, timidly smiling at Evan before looking to Casey with reassuring eyes.
Casey nodded and Izzie walked past Evan to leave the room.
"So... what did you need to talk to me about?" She asked carefully as he closed the door. "I can't just... lose what we have..."
"What we HAD, Evan... we're done..." Casey said with confidence, although she felt tears well in her eyes. "Casey please I'm-"
"I'm dating Izzie."
Evan furrowed his eyebrows and chuckled softly, taken aback. "Wh-what? You are?"
"Yes... I told you I had feelings for her and... she felt the same."
"Oh... congratulations..."
Casey sighed and nodded before forcing a smile at him. "So... we don't have a chance?"
"No."
"Okay..."
Casey missed him terribly but she could never give up what she has with Izzie for anything. She hoped she and Evan could remain friends.
"Well I... I'm actually gonna be staying here for the week... I just thought we would... I don't even know what I was thinking," He mumbled and Casey knew she was going to dread this. Nate and Evan being here at the same time... there was nothing worse in her opinion.
...
It felt like a bomb had been thrown to their side of the court and there was nothing they could do but embrace it and hope for the best. The girls knew their relationship wouldn't be perfect. After all, no relationship is. But did they really have to have a setback so soon?
It was the day after Evan and Nate had arrived. Evan had gotten a room at the hotel where the other Newton kids were staying. Casey appreciated the little bit of distance between him and them and as much as Izzie wouldn't admit it, she appreciated it too. But, it did feel like their relationship was entering dangerous waters. She knew Nate wouldn't be a problem because she never loved him... but Casey and Evan? Casey loved that boy, and she can easily love him again.
These thoughts made her stomach turn as she walked through the snow with the warmth of her girlfriend next to her.
"Something on your mind?" Casey asked, turning to her and Izzie chuckled. "Nope."
"Well, something obviously is."
"It's just... what's gonna happen to us after this trip? We only have like two weeks left," Izzie said and Casey smiled at her. "What do you want to happen to ask?" She asked back and Izzie rolled her eyes. "I want what any girl wants... but what do YOU want?"
"Well... we're still taking it slow so..."
Izzie's face dropped in fear as she expected the worst. "But you make me so happy... we could like... sneak into each others' schools and make out in the bathroom or something... and go get ice cream after that..."
Izzie giggled as she put Casey's arm around her. "Yeah? Would you like that?"
"Just like what any girl wants."
Izzie bit her lip before pressing her lips against Casey's. "So where are you bringing me?" Izzie asked and her girlfriend smirked. "There's a shopping area somewhere in the north, about 15 minutes away. Let's go check it out," She said and Izzie stopped in her tracks. "Shopping is NOT for me," She mumbled and Casey rolled her eyes.
"Shopping is not my thing either. But there's no where else to go. And you could give me some good fashion tips," Casey said and Izzie giggled. "Let's go then, Newton."
The area was very village-like and peaceful. The snow wasn't falling too bad today and thankfully, the girls had already gotten used to the cold. Casey didn't want Izzie to be falling sick again.
There were very few people which was expected because residential areas were super far away in this part of the town. Christmas was also coming soon so decorations could be seen in some shops. The brick pathway was just recently cleaned so there wasn't a pile of snow that they had to walk through. This is all Casey has ever wanted. In that moment, she had full confidence that nothing would ruin what she had with Izzie.
This moment was too perfect and Casey didn't feel like she deserved it.
Eventually, Casey's hands weren't giving sufficient heat so Izzie walked closer to her and shoved her hand in her jacket pocket. It forced them to walk side to side but why on earth would Casey ever complain about that.
The shops were pretty recognisable and branded- similar to the ones they had back home, except that they were smaller and it little village-looking houses. Of course, the first shop that caught their attention was the ice-cream place.
Izzie dragged her there and after sampling many flavours and making a life or death decision about whether to get a cone or a cup, Izzie got a cup of rocky road and Casey got a cone of cookies and cream.
There was just something about Casey that screamed cookies and cream but Izzie couldn't quite put her finger on it.
Izzie finished her one scoop by the time they had gotten to the third store while Casey was still working on her second scoop. They went into the American Apparel store but decided it wasn't their style and they were now walking ahead. Neither had the desire to buy anything but what was the harm in looking around.
It was until they reached a certain Victoria's Secret that Casey got a little nervous and Izzie removed her hand from her pocket. Casey cleared her throat and focussed on licking up her ice cream.
"Ummm... do you wanna check out anything here?" Casey asked nervously and Izzie turned red. "It's um... it's alright..." Izzie smiled back and Casey nodded before they started to walk away.
Izzie turned around and noticed a set of red lingerie being displayed on the mannequin in the window. If Quinn and Penelope had taught her anything... it's that you only live once. She thought it was stupid advice of course but... they were right.
"Actually!" Izzie said, getting Casey's attention. "I wanna try that lingerie there. The one the mannequin is wearing," She said with a smile and Casey gulped. "O-okay."
Izzie threw her cup into the bin and dragged Casey into the store, trying to mask the fact that she was completely freaking out right now.
Casey waited somewhere in the corner as Izzie talked to one of the salespeople to get the right size. She got the matching bra and subtly looked at Casey who was nervously looking around the shop. She bit her lip before going into the changing room.
She took a while to look at herself in the mirror. Because she was obsessed with it. It didn't just make her feel good on the outside but on the inside too. Even though the red bra she was wearing didn't match the undergarments she currently had on... it somehow worked. It's not like she hadn't worn lingerie before. Just the feeling of Casey bringing her to go shopping and the fact that she was right outside made the experience so much more real.
She sighed and nodded before turning to the door to unlock it. She slowly pushed it open to see Casey in the same nervous position. The salesperson was also now at the other side of the store, attending to another customer.
"Casey..." Izzie whispered loudly, peeking her head out of the door. Casey looked at her and quickly rushed towards the changing room.
The moment Casey stood in front of the open door and took a look at Izzie, her jaw dropped. It was impossible for her to keep her eyes from lingering... everywhere. They moved from Izzie's face to her lips to her neck to her chest, down her stomach, to her thighs.
Izzie felt so, so good right now.
Casey licked her lips, unable to form words.
Izzie's eyes visibly got darker as she pulled Casey into the dressing room and of course, Casey allowed it.
Izzie locked the door and turned to Casey but before she could do anything, Casey was already on top of it, pinning Izzie against the door as she kissed her sloppily.
"Thank God we stopped here," Casey muttered against her neck before kissing down it to her collar bone. Izzie let out a moan and Casey lifted her head up by her chin so that there were looking at each other.
"You have to be quiet..." Casey mumbled and Izzie took in a deep breath. "You know I can't do that..." Izzie whispered.
They knew it was wrong. Doing this in a public place. Someone was probably waiting to use the room. But they couldn't get enough of each other.
"Casey... I... I don't want our first time to be in a... fuck..."
She gripped the tuff of hair behind Casey's neck as she ran her hands down her chest.
"In a changing room?" Casey asked. "It doesn't have to be our first time... I just... wanna touch you... is that okay?" Casey pulled away to ask her genuinely.
Before Izzie could answer, a knock on the door startled them. "Ma'am, is everything okay in there?" They heard the saleswoman say.
They could easily leave now and go back to the villa to continue what they started. But they really... couldn't... wait.
"Actually... could you get me the blue and purple ones too, please? I'd like to try them on," Izzie said and Casey smirked.
They looked at each other, as if studying each other, breathing heavily. They heard a knock again and Casey moved to the side of the room and Izzie opened the door a little for the salesperson to hand her the bras.
"Thank you!"
She locked the door again and tossed the bras onto the chairs, with obviously no intentions to try them on.
Casey then had Izzie pinned against the wall for the second time.
A/N kinda had striptease by carwash playing in my head while writing this entire chapter
