Ian's POV.

I got in the front seat while Asa got into the back seat. Elijah sat in the driving seat. I looked back and saw Asa staring at me. Huh! We just had a little fight on who would sit at the front and who would sit at the back. Fortunately, I was a pro at rock, paper and scissors! So I won! Happens all the time.

I smirked at Asa. He dragged his finger along his neck and pointed at me. I shook my head and laughed.

'Are you both always like this or is it just because I am here?' We both turned to look at Elijah.

'Actually he is always like this.' Asa and I spoke at the same time. I turned and glared at him.

'It's on!' I whispered to him.

'Actually he has been like this since childhood. Main reason I became friends with him.' -  I whispered the last part to Elijah.

'I knew it the first time I saw him. That explains why I am not surprised after you said the whole childhood thing!'

'There is no cure to that. It is mostly stupidity!'

'You guys do know that I am still here. Still in this car. Still in a distance where I can hear you both. And still in the mental state to understand you both!' Asa shouted from behind.

'Sorry! Didn't think that you would understand because of your...'

'Of my stupidity?'

'....right! Because of your stupidity.'

'Bravo! Bravo! It was a mistake. Everyone did warn me not to hang out with people who had the name Ian! I guess this is the punishment for not listening to them!'

'Those people should also have been stupid like you to say that!' I pointed out.

'But still I think you should have taken that advice.' Elijah piped in.

'Are you on his side or mine?' I turned to Elijah.

'I only stand in the middle. So no sides taken!'

'Yeah.. right! Forgot how different he was!' Asa whispered to me.

'I can hear you! Very clearly!'

Asa and I laughed.

'I forgot to call Gen and Kam. Let me call and inform them!' I fished out my phone and dialled Gen.

'Hey boyfriend!'

'Hey babes!' I smiled.

'Cringe!!' Asa shouted.

'Gen. Can you meet me outside the company?'

'Company as in Delano's company??'

'Yes. And bring Kamri with you!'

'Ok I am on my way then!'

'Ok then! See you there! Love you!' I smiled.

'Love you too!' And I hung up.

'I really do not understand teen love. And I don't think I will ever understand teen love!' Elijah shrugged.

'We have something in common finally. Even if it is a lame thing!' Asa said.

'You know there is always Kamri!' I turned to Asa.

'It would be better if you just shut up! How in the world do you think that Kamri and I can be... oh god! I can't even think about it! My mind would burst!'

'I really think that you both would be a cute couple!' Elijah again piped in.

'Ok that's it! You both have to stop this! Now!' Asa pointed to the both of us.

GENEVIVE'S POV

I had quickly droven to Kam's house. As soon as she got in, I started driving towards Delano's company.

'So why do you think he called us there? Oh my god! Did someone kidnap Asa?'

'Someone is concerned for Asa, I see!' I teased her.

'What? Concerned? For Asa? Never. I would be happy...yeah happy in my life... beacuse Asa would be.. uh..kidnapped!'

'Are you hesitating Ms. Kamri Cohen? That too speaking about Asa?  Who are you? Where is the Kamri that I know?' I laughed.

'Oh shut up Gen! You became a love bird and have started speaking nonesense!'

'Is it me speaking nonesense or you?'

'Okay! Let's just leave this conversation..'

'Because of Asa?'

'...no! Because we have reached!'

'Fine! Fine!'

We got out of the car and saw Ian, Asa and Elijah waiting at us from the entrance. Ian gestured us to walk quickly and we did just that.

'I think the lovebird over there have been waiting for you for a long time. Go and take her!' Kamri laughed. I laughed with her too.

'You both have reached! We have been waiting for you for 7 minutes and I no longer can wait. So.. we are here to..uh..let's say question...Delano? Yes..question Delano and there are going to be lots and lots of fun. So let's go inside already.' Elijah pointed to the entrance and started walking forward.

'We are going to interrogate Delano but we are also going to have fun. That does not...uh..match at all.' Kamri laughed nervously.

'Actually... it's better to see it with your own eyes. You will understand everything!' Ian explained. He took my hand and we started walking towards the entrance. We both turned back and also saw Kamri and Asa walking towards the entrance keeping a fair distance between them.

They were so cute!!

I looked at Ian and saw him smiling at both of them. I smiled at him.

We reached the floor where Delano's cabin was situated and entered. When we entered we saw Delano speaking with Hudson!

Why was I not surprised?

'Ah Elijah! Welcome! And welcome to you kids also! Great.. finally I get to meet the 4 of you. It really is a pleasure!' Delano smirked.

'I don't know why but I don't feel any pleasure in seeing you. The mere thought of you itself makes me want to puke!' Asa shook his head.

'You might want to watch your tone Asa! You are talking about my dad!' Hudson took a step forward.

'And you must be...Genevive Carter...daughter of Mr. Carter, right?' Delano turned to me.

'It seems like you already know me. I don't think I have to introduce myself anymore!' I replied sarcastically. Delano just smirked.

Where did I get that courage from?!

'Now now... I have been informed about everything. And I also know how you all planned to.. you know... end my career.' He tsked and then turned to Elijah. 'Elijah dear! What were you thinking? Going against me and also making my son go against me!' Delano laughed.

'It's not like luck is always on your side Delano.! ' - Elijah seethed.

'Shut up you foolish man! Dare you raise a finger against me and you won't like the consequences.' - Delano yelled and Kam and I stiffened. But the boys remained in their posture.
'I can say the same for you.' - Ian snarled. Kam and I were staring at them with wide eyes. We couldn't comprehend whatever was going on. Why were they speaking to Delano like that?  Didn't they know it was the same Delano who had wanted our parents to be killed? The same man who wouldn't hesitate to kill people for money!

'Mind your words Carter.' - Hudson glared at Ian and I could feel the rage fuming inside me. How dare he think he could go behind our backs and get away with it? Didn't he have some morals?  Like father like son!

Asa gestured Hudson to shut up.

'Elijah! My dear, it's a pity you haven't really understood who I am even after working with me for years. Didn't you know that I can get your beloved family killed with a snap of my fingers? And you kids, didn't you know that either? Such a pity no one's brain is working these days!' - Delano laughed and gave a high five to his beloved son!

I saw Elijah visibly go neutral in face and the boys too took a step backwards. And about Kam and I? It was a blessing we were still alive! Imagine standing straight face to face with a ruthless murderer all the while having no clue to whatever is happening around you!

'Maybe there are somethings you should ask Hudson you know.' - Ian shrugged non - chalantly. Asa and Elijah nodded with a smirk. Delano raised a brow and and I felt chills run down my spine. Kam took hold of my hand and gave it a tight squeeze.

What was happening?

'There's nothing to clear between us young Carter! It's pathetic that you actually thought my own son would go against me.!' - Delano laughed like a beast. He really looked scary.

But all of a sudden Hudson started laughing and opened his mouth while turning to his dad.

'It's even more pathetic of you to think I ever considered you my father!'
