GENEVIVE'S POV

As the bell rang, Kamri and I waited outside Ian and Asa's classroom. Once they came out, we all headed to our lockers.

'Come on. I really want to take a nap.' Kamri yawned.

'That is what you always do!' Asa retorted.

Ian and I exchanged glances. The tension between them had vanished at least for now. I really didn't want them to be like that again! It was fun when they just wanted to eat each other's heads off! I sighed.

Ian came to my side. He took hold of my hand and kissed the back of it. I smiled at him. I was feeling really exhausted with all the Delano things but when Ian was with me, I just felt relaxed and reassured in some way!

'Okay! You lovebirds can do whatever you want. I will be at the parking lot! Anyone else wants to come?' Asa raised his eyebrows.

'Count me in. I am not in the mood to watch a scene from a romantic movie!' With that, Kamri and Asa walked away to the parking lot. We both laughed. It felt like ages since we really had a good laugh.

It really felt nice to see them talk again!' I looked at Ian.

'Yeah. Without their bickering...it felt like something was missing. I hope they will sort out all the problems between them soon!'

'Yeah! Me too!'

We were both walking towards the locker hand in hand when I saw Hudson at Ian's locker. Before I could call out to him, he slammed shut Ian's locker and ran off. I looked at Ian. I was pretty sure he saw it too. He was also as shocked as I was!

'Oh my god! Oh my god! It was Hudson! Again!' Him! Again! Which meant he was the traitor! He was the one telling all our plans to Delano. It was because of him Delano knew that our parents were alive!

'Hey Gen..look at me! Look here! You are just panicking. We will figure it out!' Ian grabbed my head from both side and looked into my eyes.

'Hey..we will figure it out! I promise. We can talk about this together. We have Elijah! We can talk to him and..and I am here for you! Don't be afraid. I will make it alright!' He smiled reassuringly. I just nodded slowly trying to give back my most real smile.

'Yeah... but why would he do that? I really thought he wanted to help us! But turns out he was Delano's accomplice after all. We should have not trusted him easily.'

'Yeah. We will talk it out after. Now, let's go home.' I nodded my head. I still couldn't get over the fact that it was me who forgave him at the first place. I probably should have taken some time! Now...everything was so messed up!

HUDSON'S POV

I stood before the building casually. As usual, I fished my phone out of my pocket and switched on the recorder. I sighed. This was not the first time and yet my palms always got sweaty.

I went up the elevator and stopped at the floor where dad's cabin was situated. I knocked on the door twice before entering. He seemed to be in a good mood. God knew why!

'Hey dad!'

'Hudson! I hope you are done with your work!'

'Yes dad. All set! They won't even see it coming. I am going to do everything so smoothly that they would still think that I joined hands with them! How can they even think of something like that! They really thought that I would go against you! Against my father! They are foolish to think so!' I smirked.

'Now that's my boy! This is why you are very special to me! I can say surely that you won't betray me!' I smiled at him.

I opened my mouth to ask him what I have been wanting to ask for a few days. I closed my mouth. I sighed.

You have to do this!

I mustered up that tad bit of courage I had and took the risk of asking him.

'But dad...these thoughts have been nagging me from the very first beginning, Why do you want to do this? Why are you behind them? Why don't you just stop what you are doing?'

'Hudson! You don't know anything do you? There are many advantages because of what I am. All these luxury..don't you see Hudson? This is all because of the advantages I have. I have all the staffs around here wrapped around my fingers. They know that I would go to any extent to get what I want. And they have witnessed it themselves. Money and power. Keep in mind Hudson..these both are very important. If you have money then you have power!'

'Now, when a person comes barging into my life to just steal these two things.. I would never let him steal it! That is why I have to keep this going. You will understand once you enter into business on your own. And in the future... my company is going to be on the top list. I will make sure of that!' He roared the last part banging his fist on to the table.

'And you... you don't know who I really am! And what I am capable of! You have only seen a small part of me. And I am going to be raising you the same. In luxury.. with all power and money! You are going to go down Elijah! Your plan won't succeed at all!' - He laughed wickedly.

After hearing all my dad had to say, I just nodded meekly. If it was what he had planned for me, I would just do according to his will! After all, who didn't like luxuries and power?  I bade him farewell and walked out of the building.
