We sat around the table at vintage cafe. Elijah looked super uncomfortable sitting beside Hudson.

LAST NIGHT

Ian hung up after speaking with Elijah. He sat on a couch and I sat beside him.

'Why was Elijah calling you at this hour? Is there any problem?'

'Elijah called to inform that Delano is getting suspicious. He doubts his own staff, Elijah and most importantly Hudson. So before he comes to know about our plans, we have to do something. For that reason, Elijah has asked us to meet at Vintage cafe tomorrow after school. We have to inform the others including Hudson. He is the only one who can get us information about Delano!'

'That is reasonable!'

We stayed silent for a few minutes.

'Are you free tommorrow night?'

'Yes I am. Why do you ask?'

'So..you are free! Then it's settled.'

'Excuse me, mister! What is settled?' I raised my eyebrows.

'Be ready at 6! You have a date to attend!' He grinned and winked.

'What? What type of dress should I wear??'

'Something casual and beautiful!' He whispered the last part. I giggled.

'And now I have to get going. See you tomorrow beautiful!' He winked.

'Yeah see you tomorrow!' I smiled.

'Looking forward to our date!' We both laughed.

I was bursting with joy from inside. And thinking logically, this all happened because of Melissa. If she hadn't come to our table today...this would have not happened. Uhmm... Melissa, thank you dear. You are....great? Not too great but good at some things. Anyways... I had a date to attend tomorrow!!

About the dress...I will ask Kamri to come over. Kamri would burst with joy! I could literally imagine Kamri jumping with joy after hearing that Ian and I are dating! I still couldn't believe that I was going on a date tomorrow with Ian! I squealed with joy.

I went to sleep afterwards.

The bell rang. Kamri and I exited the school together.

'So.. did you and Ian sort out everything?'

I hummed in response.

I was busy imagining how our date tonight would be.

'Hello? Earth to Gen!'

I broke out of my trance and glanced at Kam who was frowning at me.

'Don't frown too much. Your face will turn old at a young age.'

'Where are you lost in thoughts madam?'

'I was not lost, I was just thinking...'

'Thinking what?' She narrowed her eyes at me.

'Hey!!'

I would be grateful to Asa forever for coming at the right time!! I got saved from answering Kamri after all.

'Hey Kam!!' Ian came and draped his arm around my shoulder. 'Hey beautiful!' He whispered in my ears.

'Hey!' I whispered back.

I looked towards Kamri and Asa and saw them giving us a confused and weird look.

What?! Am I not allowed to whisper to my boyfriend??

'Why in the world are you both whispering?' Asa made a face at us.

'Aren't we allowed to whisper?' Ian narrowed his eyes at Asa.

'Fine! You both can whisper. Now let's go to vintage cafe! Elijah is a punctual man!' Asa did some gesturing with his hand.

'Come on Gen! Let's go.'

'Yeah coming!' I turned to Ian. 'I badly want to come with you but you know what would happen if Asa and Kam would come together.' I shrugged.

'It's okay babe! Do not forget about our date tonight. And let's freak Asa and Kam at the cafe. About dating!'

'I have been waiting for this moment!' We both grinned.

I sat between Ian and Kamri. Asa sat beside Kamri. Elijah sat opposite me. We all sat around waiting for Hudson to show up. No..he was not at all punctual!

'Hey... and sorry I am a few minutes late!' Hudson smiled sheepishly and sat beside Elijah.

'Few minutes? You are approximately 13 minutes late!' Elijah exclaimed.

'Is this dude always like this?' Hudson motioned towards Elijah.

'You just have to get used to it! Like we did.' Asa shrugged.

'Let us not waste any time and talk why we are here for!' Elijah clapped his hands.

'As I said...get used to it!' Asa grinned.

We all sent a death glare towards Asa except Hudson who was grinning back at him.

'Delano has started doubting everyone. Even you Hudson!' Elijah pointed at Hudson. 'So we have to do something before he find out things! He has also started questioning the staffs.'

'So..what are we gonna do?' Ian asked Elijah.

'We do not have any evidence which can prove that Delano has done these many things. That too illegal! How do we even find these evidence?' Kamri sighed.

'We only have one option.' We all turned to Hudson. 'Hudson has to pretend that he is interested on spying all four of you.' Elijah gestured to us.

'And what is going to happen with that?' Asa asked.

'This is why you are stupid. Even small kids can guess what would happen if Hudson would pretend spying on us!' Yes that was Kamri!

'Of course my bad! How could I forget that you are the all-knowing!!'

'Is he always like this?' Elijah asked gesturing to Asa.

'You made a good comeback!' Kamri grinned at Elijah.

'So let's continue! Hudson, you will spy on Delano. You have to get some information out of him while you pretend to be spying on them. This is the only way we will know what Delano is planning to do. It is very risky but this is the only chance we have!'

'I am ready to do it. He killed a person who had nothing to do with this! So I am in.'

I took Ian's hand and squeezed it gently in a reassuring way. Even if he didn't meet his real father, it must be very shocking to know it!

'And the person Delano killed, Oliver Johns. He is my real father. Found out a day before! Who knew this would all be connected together!'

'Oliver Johns..is your father? No wonder why Delano wanted your mother to be killed first and fast!' Elijah was shocked.

'I am going to make Delano pay for what all he did! He has to pay!!'

'So.. mission Delano?' Hudson extended his fist.

'Mission Delano!!' We all fist bumped each other.

'Now I should get going.' Elijah stood up and walked out.

'That dude should learn to say at least a goodbye! And I will also get going. See you...at school maybe!' Hudson waved and went out.

'So what are your both plans for tonight?' Ian asked Asa and Kamri.

'I don't know but it surely does not include him!' Kamri pointed at Asa.

'Not sure! What about you?' Asa raised his eyebrows at Ian.

'Actually I have a date to attend...with my girlfriend Gen!' Ian grinned.

'Oh my gosh! You are not joking, are you?'

'Not at all!!'

Kamri squealed and engulfed me in a tight hug.

'You dumbass! Why didn't you say that you were dating!! That was why you both were acting weird!' I laughed. 'Whatever I am coming with you madam! Right now to your house!'

'Fine fine!!'

'See you tonight girlfriend!'

'See you tonight handsome!'

'Stop being a flirt!' Kamri and Asa shouted at the same time. Ian and I laughed.
