The Third Chunin Exams

Ok this deviates from the actual story line a bit, but oh well :L

Also I probably got some of the order wrong in the third Chunin exam but I am too lazy to check.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's been almost a month of training and getting to know my siblings.
I can now use my Kifurizu easily with my blindfold on.
The Kiido though, I have to take it off which I refused to do mulitple times.
So I can use both, just one better than the other.
 Now sitting in Kakashi's kitchen while he tries to make lunch, I am asking him random questions.
"Why was I allowed to become a ninja straight away without taking the test?" I ask.
"You'd have to ask the Hokage." He replied.
"Why have you been so busy recently?"
"Training."
"Who?"
"Sasuke."
"Why?"
"The Chunin exams."
"Yeah, but why not Naruto?"
"He has a different trainer."
"Who?"
"Jiraiya."
"Who's that?"
"One of the legendary sannin, Jiraiya the toad sage."
"Never heard of him."
"Do you want cheese on your sandwhich?"
"Why would I want cheese on ham?"
"It tastes nice."
"I doubt that, where has Sakura been recently?"
"Training I think."
"With who?"
"I'm not sure."
"Seriously?"
"Huh?"
"Why don't you know who Sakura is training with? She's your student."
"I think she's training on her own with Taijutsu or Ninjutsu."
"Kakashi?"
"Yes?"
"What are your books about?"
"Nothing interesting." His voice says the opposite.
"I don't believe you."
"Well you should."
"What are they about?"
"Adult stuff."
"Are they boring?"
"NO!" He yells.
"So they are interesting then?"
"Not for people your age." He grumbles.
"Why wont you tell me? OH! Wait! Are they rude?"
He doesn't reply.
I laugh, "Your gross Kakashi sensei."
"Eat." He places something in front of me.
I eat slowly, thinking of what to do for the rest of the day.
"I'm going now. I'll see you later. Try not to get into trouble." He says with a sigh.
I wave halfheartedly as he leaves, and finish my lunch.
 The rest of the afternoon I spent wandering around aimlessly.
Soon less people roam the streets.
My stomach grumbles so I head to Ichiraku.
The chef waves hello, "Can I have a miso Ramen?" I ask.
"Yeah sure, take a seat."
I sit down at the end of the bar.
"MEI-CHAN!" A loud voice yells.
"Naruto?"
"I haven't seen you in ages dattebayo! Miso Ramen please, old man."
He sits down next to me.
"You've been training right?" I ask.
"Yeah! Pervy sage is really spazzy but he's strong. Now I know some really awesome jutsu."
"Your fighting Neji Hyuuga aren't you?"
"Yep! I'm gonna win for sure!"
The chef puts two bowls in front of us.
I ate, for some reason my senses on full awareness.
Why am I acting strange?
"Hey, Mei-chan."
I jumped at his voice, "Y-yeah?"
"You alright?"
"Yeah, sorry. I'm good. So when is your match?"
"Tomorrow around noon." He replied.
I almost choaked. Had it really been that long since the preliminaries?
"Ok, I'd like to watch!" I smile, finish my Ramen and pay.
"Make sure you do come!" He yells after me as I walk away.
The third Chunin exams are tomorrow, and I have forgotten something important.
I racked my brain in frustration. What have I forgotten?!
Realisation hit me like a brick.
That organisation.
What do I want?
To gain back my eyesight? OF COURSE!
But at the risk of joining something that is different from what they said? They did seem a bit shifty.
Why do they want me to join them? I'm useless at being a ninja!
Stupid eyes. I curse as I stumble on a stone.
What's the time?
I sigh.
So that organisation. I'm pretty sure they left out something when they told me the point of their group. World peace. Pretty vague.
Well who am I to judge?
I walk into Kakashi's house, but to find it empty.
No Chakra any where near.
My guess is he's probably training Sasuke like crazy for tomorrow.
 In less than ten minutes, I'm in bed and half asleep already.
~Time Skip~
"Hi Sakura." I say as I sit next to her.
"Hey Mei, oh wait, should I call you that now?"
In a month most people now knew about my family and clan.
"It's ok, I don't really mind."
"Alright. Well Naruto is late" She says with a sigh.
"That's to be expected."
"Yeah, but he is first up."
"Oh." I reply. I have a look around at the Chakras surrounding me, various ninja from all over the world sit watching and waiting for the first match.
Suddenly Naruto's Chakra came into range, moving fast towards us.
"He's coming." I say to Sakura.
I hear a commotion, not being able to see anything even outlines from up here. So Chakra it is!
Naruto now stands with the proctor and Neji in the center of the arena.
Chears errupt, temporarily making me deaf too.
The fight starts, Neji gaining the upper hand, Naruto sending clones after clones.
I didn't focus much on this fight, I was too busy examining the Chakra's of people around me.
I sensed Taiki with the other competitors.
Nami and Aimi on the other side of the arena bored.
Kakashi still missing, probably with Sasuke.
i hear gasps of shock and tune back in.
Naruto now half burried underground, seemingly unconcious. I sense his Chakra move.
A clone is left as he tunnels beneath Neji who believes he has won.
The proctor even steps forward, but before he could say anything, Naruto bursts from the ground, punching Neji in his chin, sending him flying and unconcious.
Naruto won his match.
I grin and cheer along with the crowd, ignoring the 'boos'.
"Sasuke Uchiha is not yet here. His match with Gaara Sabaku will be postponed. Up next Kankuro Sabaku and Aburame Shino." The proctor yelled loudly over the crowd.
Naruto went back to the sides, joining the other competitors.
"I forfeit!" Kankuro shouted.
Moans and complaints sounded all over the arena.
"Shikamaru Naara and Temari Sabaku, please come forward." The proctor yelled.
Temari jumped down and made her way to the center of the arena, Shikamaru being the lazy person he is, stayed still till Naruto shoved him. He fell and landed on the ground, not moving.
Groans and shouts got louder when Shikamaru didn't move. Eventually he did and walked over to Temari.
I reaaallly don't want to right out their fight so bare with :)
"I give up!" Shikamaru said, watching Temari now frozen in his jutsu of shadows.
The crowd went beserk, even Sakura and Ino next to me jumped up and started yelling. Chouji though acted as if he knew it would happen.
He probably did.
 Kakashi then decided it would be a good tie to show up.
His Chakra appeared in the arena, Sasuke standing next to him.
"Oh Sasuke's here! I knew he'd come! Oh Mei! Ah Aisu! Look at his hair! And his clothes." Sakura exclaimed excitedly.
I ignored he ranting and focussed back on Sasuke and Kakashi.
I really wish mental telepathy was possible because right now I have a bunch of unsent messages to Kakashi, most about leaving me alone for so long.
"Gaara Sabaku and Sasuke Uchiha, you may begin!" The proctor yelled and jumped back, Kakashi left and came to sit with us.
"Mei, Sakura." He said and sat next to Sakura.
 I ignored Kakashi as Sasuke and Gaara fought.
Maybe it's childish, but leaving me alone for so long was kinda mean.
Gaara focuses a lot fo Chakra, forming something around him like a ball.
Sasuke does a jutsu which makes a crackling chirping noise, extreemly alike to Kakashi's Chidori.
His Chakrarushes forward towards Gaara's ball and crashes into it.
The ball moves, forming spikes, Sasuke's arm is now emerged inside the ball.
"My blood! It's my blood! AHHHH!" Gaara screams.
Everybody is silent now, confused.
I hear two whispering voices near. Somewhere below me.
I sense around there and find Temari and Kankuro, Gaara's siblings.
They sounded worried.
I focus back on Gaara and Sasuke.
Sasuke now trying to pull away, while Gaara screams.
He does a Chidori again, filling the stadium with the sound of birds chirping.
His Chakra movesback as Gaara, falls to his knees.
"Release!" I hear Kakashi mumble.
I glance around, most figures slumped over.
"Kakashi? What happened?"
"Genjutsu, stay here with Sakura."
Sakura seems to be awake.
"It's a sleeping Genjutsu." She says, "I did the release."
Temari and Kankuro rush out to Gaara, supporting his figure.
They leap up onto the top of the stadium and away into the trees.
Suddenly a battle breaks out.
Quite a few things happening at once.
Anbu appear and start fighting sand ninja.
Sasuke disappears, following Gaara and his siblings.
Something happens on top of the Hokage's building, a lot of Chakrsa involved.
Sakura attacks one who gets too close, and Kakashi appears again followed by a familiar Chakra and an unfamiliar one.
Gai and somebody i've never met before.
"Gai, Ebisu help Mei and Sakura." Kakashi says.
They instantly start fending off the Sand nin.
"I'll be right back." I whisper to Sakura.
She glances at me, "Where are you going?"
"I wont be long." I reply, then rush away before any of the Jounin notice.
I make it to the gates of the arena and run as fast as I can without tripping to the forests.
Don't ask me why. I just feel I have to follow them. I really don't know why.
I jump intot he trees sensing Sasuke's Chakra and gaining a vague sense of everything around me.
I leap through the branches, wind whipping at my pony tail.
Soon Sasuke is less than five meters in front of me.
"Sasuke!" I call out.
"Go back." He snarles.
"No way in hell! What do you think your doing? You be killed!"
I'm now right behind him.
He glances back, keepig quiet.
I can almost hear the cogs turning as he thinks about what he should do.
"Go back Mei." He says quieter, "You don't want to get hurt."
I'm shocked at this. Sasuke the one who doesn;t seem to care about anything or anybody just basically said he wants me to go back.
"Nope. Sorry. You can't get rid of me that easily." I replied.
He stops suddenly, making me crash into him.
I topple off the branch and landheavily on the ground on my back.
He just stands on the branch, "Go back. It's not safe." He leaps away.
I grumble as I stand up.
"Hey little one, un."
I spin around sharply.
"Who-" I start.
"Now, you can't have forgotten us! It's me! Deidara and Sasori. Itachi isn't here right now though."
I freeze. Oh Kami.
"I- Uh Hi." I say.
"So, you coming with us? It is the end of the Third Chunin exams isn't it?" Deidara says.
"Well... Why do you want me to join?"
"We need strong people, who want peace and would be good at fighting for it. Our leader thinks you'd be perfect for the spot. And trust me, Leader get's what he wants." He replies.
 "Hurry up. I don't want to keep him waiting." Sasori says.
"Um... well..."
"Let's go, un!"
"I-"
"Hurry up." Sasori snaps.
"I don't want to go with you!" I yell.
Deidara stops trying to pull me.
"Why?" He asks.
"I don't like the sound of it, plus I'm not strong. I can't see and I'm useless in a fight. I don't want to join your weird group. It's sounds strange and shadey." I gush.
"Shadey?" Sasori asks.
"Sorry." I mumble. They don't seem to bad, just the group sounds...shifty.
"I see." He replies.
"But... Leader will-" Deidara starts.
"We can sort this out later. We need to inform Itachi, ok? He won't know otherwise and we'll be late back to Leader." Sasori interrupts.
I turn away from them, "Sorry. I just... yeah. Bye." I walk away, heading back to the village.
By the time I get back, not many people are around, most inside sleeping.
I walk slowy back into the village, watching my footing.
I come across a Chakra alone.
Somebody lying on a bench.
Sakura?
I shake her shoulder gently.
She mumbles something.
I listen closer.
"Sasuke... Gone... left the village... left me..."
I stand up sharply.
I run, sprinting to Saskue's apartment.
It's empty of any Chakra.
 Next I run to Kakashi's house.
He's in the living room, I burst in.
"Kakashi, have you seen Sasuke?"
"Yes, a while ago."
"How long ago?"
"Before sunset."
"Oh Kami."
"What's wrong?"
"I found Sakura knocked out, oh Kami I just left her there... well she was lying on a bench on the road next the exit of the village. She said stuff in her sleep like Sasuke left the village."
"Are you serious?" He manages to keep his voice calm.
I nod.
"Right, I need to go inform the Hokage. Stay here, try get some sleep." He leaves quickly.
I walk upstairs slowly and flop down onto my bed.
It isn't long before I'm disturbed again.
"Now, you can't say no to what Leader wants Aisu." A cold voice says.
I sit up, fear coursing through me.
"Who's there?"
The chakra feels familiar...
"Now, you should know me. We have met before. I just need you to come with us. Leader wouldn't like to be upset that the person he chose will not come willingly to his organization."
"Itachi Uchiha." I spit out.
"Yes. Aisu Shiryokul. Let's get going. You are coming with me."
"No i'm not. You guys gave me a choice. I chose. I don't want to join your weird group."
"It's not a choice. It was never a choice."
"What?!"
"Get up."
"I'm not going with you!" I jump up, and tug open the window.
Suddenly, I'm pulled back sharply. My head hits the wall and I crumple to the ground.
"If you fight, you'll just get hurt."
I stand up, ignoring my throbbing head ache, and pull out three kunai.
I throw them, mainly as a distraction, not accurately.
Just as I pull open the door, Itachi grabs my hair and pulls me back. I land on my back, no air in my lungs.
I struggle to sit up, breathing heavily.
Itachi lifts me up by my hair, "Can we go now?"
I wince at the pain in my scalp.
Quickly I pull out a kunai, aiming for his arm.
My arm is stopped by his hand, in less than a second.
I stare at his hand in shock. Whoa, he is quick.
I pull away sharply, noticing that he let his arms go slack a bit as if he wanted me to try to run.
Too late now to stop.
I grab the door frameand sprint out, stumbling down the stairs.
Suddenly the front door opens and a figure crashes into me.
"Mei? What's wrong?"
"Kakashi! It's Itachi! He is here!" I stand up weakly, feeling light headed.
"Mei, your bleeding. Your head, are you alright?"
Urgh! Why doesn't he listen? "Kakashi, it was Itachi!" I snap.
"Itachi Uchiha?"
"Kakashi Hatake of the Sharingan. The copy cat ninja." Itachi's cold voice rings out from the top of the stairs.
"Mei get out of here, go find the Hokage." Kakashi says, pushing me behind him.
"But-"
"Go!" He shoves me out of the door, slamming it shut behind me.
I stumble away from the house, turning a corner and crash into somebody.
"Sorry! I-"
"That was easy, un!" A cheerful voice says.
"D-Deidara?" I ask, stepping back.
"Why didn't you use your eye thingy?" Deidara asks.
Oh, Kami! Why Didn't I? I still could, if I got far enough away.
"Hurry up." Sasori's voice says.
"Don't tell me what to do, un!" Deidara replies.
I turn and run.
"Baka. Stop her."
"Ah, right."
 Something heavy hits my head.
I fall as if in slow motion to the ground.
My mind is taken over with darkness.
